Adorama and Minolta specs for the MND70

Watch out for the Minolta specs that Adorama publishes for the MND70. They advertise the Minolta MND70 as a 48MP camera. I have a friend that bought one there and realized how poor the image quality was. After some research he found the camera really isn't 48MP the sensor is only 12MP and Minolta (in Name only its licensed by another company now) double the pixels in software to create a 48MP file even though the sensor and resolution is limited 12MP (same for the video capabilities). He posted a review on their web site and also asked questions on their web site about this. For some reason his review and questions even though they were nicely and politely written are not showing up. It would be nice if Adorama could clarify this in the best interest of their customers.

Minolta publishes deceptive specs on a number of their new cameras

Today Minolta is Minolta in name only (the name is simply licensed). They misrepresent their digital camera specifications to the point where I question the legality. For example the specs for MND35 specs it as a 64MP camera. Though the file is 64MP, the image sensor is only 13MP, therefore the maximum detail captured can never be greater than 13MP. The same is true for the MND70 the spec says 48MP but the sensor is only 12MP. You could in effect purchase any camera with 12-13MP and then post process your image with any free upscale tools or Adobe's Photoshop generative upscale function and achieve the same results.

I'm not saying these are bad cameras, they could be excellent cameras for what they are. Specs are never the whole story. In fact using these cameras set to their native resolution 12-13MP with image stabilization off may yield the best results. You can always upscale in post and achieve the exact same results. One other point, the effective resolution of the camera is limited by the resolving power of both the lens and the sensor. Having a high pixel count sensor behind a lower resolution lens achieves nothing and many other factors also affect image quality, dynamic range, color depth, signal to noise ratio and so on and so on.

My point is when shopping for a new camera you should compare true specifications, features vs price, and real world images before making your decision.

My roommate for two years now

This alien is real. I found him living in a trash can behind my house and I adopted him. I have been showing him all these fake UFO and alien pics on reddit. He gets really bored with them and just grabs a beer from the fridge and puts on reruns of the Beverly Hillbillies. I don't know why, but they remind him of home.
Here's a pick of NEB (Nebulan the Dork) chilling and watching TV.

I have been documenting my life with him for the past two years. I could post more photos if anyone is interested.

Were we up-sold by Mazda Service

My wife brought in her CX30 for the 30,000mile service and the tech told here that the Mazda 30,000 mile service recommends a complete differential drain and fill and a complete transmission drain and fill. I looked through the manual and there is no mention of either. I felt the tech saw the customer was a woman and just made this up knowing she would trust him. I have grown up working on cars and no it never hurts to change these fluids even though it may be totally unnecessary. This was an additional $500 of costs for us, so I am a bit angry they pushed this on her. Has anyone else received the same upsell pressure from Mazda service?

Every feature imaginable. But this icon seems to appear anytime I’m in the area of toilet. One complaint seems to only show toilets not urinals.

I have 3 AC2200 routers and one access point. I have been running this network for at least 5 years now with zero problems. Recently over the past year I have building and installing various IoT devices that are absolutely not necessary. One benefit is if I should meet an early demise my wife won't be able to open the garage door, listen to music or turn on the TV (job security for me). This morning I noticed a few of my devices dropping offline. Then one of my laptops dropped off line and asked me for the password when I ried to re-attach, but it wouldn't accept the password. eventually everything went offline but I was able to bring them up in google home but they failed the speed tests. I wound up physically resetting each router and access point and rebuilding the mesh from scratch same SSID, same password. Rebuilding wasn't a big deal maybe 20 minutes, but that was after an hour or 2 of trouble shooting. What happened???? I can think of two possible issues 1. Maybe an automatic firmware update corrupted my configuration, 2. Maybe one of or more of my Esp32s started spewing out bad packets that corrupted the network. 3rd possibility may aliens from the UFO sub-reddit did a visitation on my network. Any ideas what could have caused this?
