The NZ psychotherapist board members have all resigned
In protest of Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Ammendment Bill which would give the government sweeping powers to overrule any board decision or policy.

Notably they can obligate the board to approve membership to people the board has rejected or limited.

Additionally, the government will be able to impose practice restrictions on any practitioner without notice of they deemed there is a "serious risk of harm".

This would apply to MCNZ.
