How often do fests, club events, DJ nights, or fun evening activities happen? Is campus life active enough like indian campuses?

BITS DUBAI RESTRICTIONS

Is the college very strict about relationships and alochol or nicotine?

I have studied all my life and now i wanna do bakchodi now but dont wanna get stuck in indian pvt colleges.

I have offers from usa and uk too but the ongoing global conflicts have cancelled them out for me..

Pls anyone tell do students sneak alcohol in the hostels and all?

And what abt the relationships? One councellor said we r not even allowed to hold hands in public inside uni.

Is it true?

And how do students survive if the enviornment is soo restricted.

Also i heard that they jave a quiet campus life and dont have active and crazy life like indian clgss..

Hey everyone,

I’ve been learning web dev + AI and decided to stop overthinking and just build something.

So I made a small project called Quant Lite AI.

It’s basically a simple dashboard that:

• Tracks crypto + stock prices
• Shows charts with different timeframes
• Gives AI-based insights (like trend explanations)

The idea was to make finance data easier to understand instead of overwhelming.

Not gonna lie, I ran into a bunch of issues:

• API rate limits
• Data failing randomly
• UI breaking because of CSS conflicts

Still fixing a lot of that.

But I figured it’s better to share early and get real feedback instead of polishing forever.

If you try it, I’d really appreciate:

• What feels useless
• What’s actually interesting
• Any features you’d want

I’m considering doing my undergrad in the UAE (mostly looking at Heriot-Watt Dubai, Middlesex Dubai, and University of Wollongong Dubai or BITS Dubai) for CS / AI / Data Science.

I wanted some real, unfiltered opinions from people who are currently studying there or have graduated.

Here are my main concerns:

How is the actual college life? (social scene, events, fun, etc.)

Are there good internships / placements, or do you have to grind everything yourself?

Is the degree actually valued globally or in India?

How strong is the peer group?

Is it worth spending ~1 crore total, or better to stay in India / go elsewhere?

I’m not just looking for brochure answers — I want the real reality (pros + cons).

Also, if you had the choice again, would you still pick UAE?
