Which wheel wrench do I need?

I have the FCX24 power wagon, and I bought some nice Injora wheels for it. They have an offset, and the wheel wrench that came with the power wagon doesn't reach in there because the nuts are in the way.

I've been using some longer brass M3 nuts that I've had to tighten with needle nose pliers, but they keep loosening themselves. Ideally I want to use the original locking nuts, but I cant get in close enough to tighten them, even with needle nose pliers.

On places like youtube I see people with a sort of screwdriver to drive the nuts on. Will this fit around the wheel nuts? What do I need to get? I'm in the UK if anyone has an amazon link. I didn't just want to search for M3 because I thought that was the internal measurement and the outside one can differ. The wrench I got in the box doesn't work with the brass nuts with any of the 4 ends.

Jay is doing an AMA on 19th of August

So I was looking at r/movies at who has AMA's coming up and noticed the following:

Jay McCarrol, Composer Wednesday 8/19 at 3:00 PM Tony

Obviously the thread thing hasn't been made yet, but maybe prepare your questions ready for Bird. It is related to him composing music for 'Tony' but if we can really ask him anything, I'm sure Wii shop update song questions aren't off the table.

Just thought I'd bring it to people's attention.

Explain like I'm 5 how the shocks work.

Well, I get the part about having springs and the oil slows down the rebound, but the shocks have a thread on them that you can screw higher or lower to make the spring shorter or longer.

How does doing this affect the shocks? Does it make it harder to press, or spring back quickly, or how does it work?

Crawling in and around London (UK)

Are there any good crawling sites / courses in or near London? I'm lucky that I live relatively near to Epping Forest and can go there, but I wondered if anyone knows of some dedicated courses that have been made? I've seen places like Crawler World in Chichester, but I don't have a car at the moment. I use 1/24 scale if it makes a difference.

Clicking when turning

I've had a big upgrade day today. Fitted my 130 60t bushed motor and heatsink, installed the +20% front differential, and replaced the stock plastic steering linkage with aluminium (all Injora).

However now when I turn I get a loud clicking noise and I've no idea what's causing it. It also does it sometimes just moving and not turning so I don't think it's the steering servo thing.

Anyone got an idea of what's causing it?

Front left wheel not engaging (and other questions).

I've been really enjoying my power wagon, and recently got some new wheels and tyres made even wider by some new hub extensions.

However my front left wheel only sometimes works when I pull the throttle. Other times it stays still if I'm holding the truck up, and when it's off the left wheel can spin freely. The right one feels more locked. I opened up the portal cover and good news, the gears are metal, but bad news that doesn't seem to be the issue. Anyone know what's causing this?

Other questions:

I removed the stock bumper because it rubs the new tyres, is there another bumper I can replace it with? Will anything for a K5 or a FCX24M also fit?

What does the other connector going to the lights do?

King Rocker documentary now free to watch on youtube

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J86a3pce4to

Sorry if this has already been posted, but youtube said it was only a couple of days old.

Stewart Lee and Michael Cumming explore punk outsider Robert Lloyd, frontman of The Prefects and The Nightingales, in King Rocker, an anti-rockumentary linking his life to Birminghams forgotten King Kong sculpture via pop art, curry, and chaos.

Edit: I've been advised it's UK only so maybe try a vpn if you're elsewhere.

Removing stripped nuts

I bought the Injora 130 brushed 60t motor to put in my power wagon. Took it all apart and one final screw defeated me. This one screw on the left holding the motor in place will not budge and has now stripped.

I've tried using a rubber glove like an elastic band to fill up the screw, I've tried superglueing a hex wrench into it, I don't own a dremel to make a flat screwdriver fit.

I have no idea what I can do. If I can get it out, I have replacement screws with the new motor so I don't mind damaging it but at this point I'm worried I'm going to need a whole new gearbox because of one shitty screw!

Any ideas?

Power Wagon Bumper issue (and other questions).

I've bought this as my first crawler and am loving it so far, but I've noticed that the front middle screw over the axle (steering servo?) gets caught on the inside of the bumper and means there is less travel in the suspension.

Is this a known issue or just happening on mine? I would still like to have a bumper but should I change it somehow?

Also I bought some shock oil, but it feels like there is already oil in the shocks. Is this standard now?

I'm hoping to do a couple of small upgrades and maybe a paint job and I'll post some photos soon.

Help a complete n00b

I've realised in middle age that I can now get things I couldn't afford as a kid. There was a model/hobby shop in the town I grew up in and I always used to look at the Tamiya RC cars but they were more than I could afford and I'd have probably bodged making it.

So I'm now thinking I would like to make a kit. I was originally looking at the Lunchbox, but it looks like it falls over too easily. So I've now got my eye on a Blitzer Beetle as I would like to be able to use it off road. But I have a bunch of questions:

  1. What do I need that isn't in the kit? Pistol grip remote, battery and charger, spray paint, masking tape, snippers? Anything else?

  1. If I wanted to put monster tyres on (like from a lunchbox), would I also need different wheels? Also do tyres need to be glued to wheels and do I need foam inserts?

  1. After you put the stickers or transfers on, do you then add clear coat to seal them?

  1. Do the remotes still interfere with other cars? Last time I used an rc car of you had two on the same frequency you couldn't race then both.

  1. Is there a wheelie bar for the blitzer?

  1. Dumb question, but I'm assuming it doesn't matter if you don't put the driver in? I'd like to have something like a go pro inside it instead.

I think thats all for now but I'll probably have a million more questions soon. Thank you in advance.

Edit to add one more question:

  1. Where is good to get things from in the UK? I would rather support a small online retailer than amazon.
