So i actually got a comment from r/Askmen on how to preserves sticks and was politely informed of this sub.

This is my stick

It looks unimpressive i know but If you hold it on the heavy end there's a flat side that aligns perfectly with the slight edge/bend on the other side and makes a very nice swings. And i like swinging it often for fun and exercise.

I have gotten lots of great comments/methods/tips already from my original post but i figured id ask here as well for good measure.

To be clear the question is:How do i preserve my stick?

I have a stick id like to preserve. How do it effectively?

I don't know anything about wood or any of the sort. But i swing it around quite often id be very sad if it rotted or broke down. How do preserve it?

Okay guys, Whats the worse anime you'd recommend and watch right now?

I dunno how popular it is but Bofori the anime is genuinely so ass. Like i couldn't get past 5 minutes of season 2 but the first season will always have a special place in my heart.

Like its actually so bad like holy shit you don't have ANNNNYYY counter to just a high defense, why does biting seemingly do infinite damage, who decided a fuckin mech was okay in a fantasy rpg? but i enjoy watching it and would genuinely recommend it with good intentions and a smile on my face.

Anyhow to keep things fun tell me why you'd recommend it despite it being bad objectively.

Character design. That's it.

Ive seen all the tutorials and practice my creative mind often but everytime i try making a oc or design for a character i end up making them wear a plain shirt and some fuckas shorts all one color. And if i try adding something cool it looks unnatural as hell.

And if don't do that i end up over designing something.

Basically my principle for character design is that "I can imagine them putting it on in the morning." But im a man with no sense for fashion so it ends up looking too plain or stupid. Any ideas?

HOW IS THIS SHIP SO POPULAR IS, THERE NO ONE ELSE?

Using anti feats, what's the strongest character you could downscale that you could beat in a fight?

Like you know how depending on how much meat is in a writer mouth the punisher can beat bullet proof people with a handgun? An Thanos to regular police? That type of stuff.

"What if we use the power scaling sub as a place for discussion on how bad a popular show is for power scaling!" I was thrown out the window for saying such nonsense.

Stop defending Ainz bro.

Ainz is not a good person, obvious right? Then how come there's a swarm of people who defends his actions or says hes actually a good guy.

I wanna make things clear for everyone.

I see some people say its not his fault, because of his passive or his innate race. In which case his morality is disappearing along with gaining subconscious intelligence. I wanna tell you that argument is full of shit. Ainz does whatever the fuck he wants at any time, good or bad. He chooses to do good as he chooses to do bad. Unfortunately for him when he does bad,it usually involves a couple tens of thousands of casualties at least.

"Ainz was pressured to be bad by his floor guardians-" pressured to do what exactly? Ive watched the series countless times and and Ainz frequently ignores what they say,do something else from what they say,or boss THEM around. That's not someone who's being pressured to do anything.

The only reason Ainz is taking over the world is because he's too much of a bitch to say "I don't wanna kill all these people." That's all, that's all it would take for everything to stop. He goes along with it, because he doesn't care. He's morally bankrupt guy who happens to like people who are good.

Anyhow that's all let's here the counter argument if such a thing exists.

The question is vague but hey i wouldn't be here if could answer it.

So im average and not popular and i don't have social skills. But there's this one person who at this point, knows that i like her and i pretty sure she likes me.

I say im pretty sure cause im the one who rejected her like in a conversation not in my head or anything and she understood,im just not ready yet, because i don't know how to "love sincerely" is the words i used.

I don't really know what love is,i know what its like to care and love a person who im close,i know how to express my love. But in the end i don't know what i mean by sincerity.

The love that isn't platonic im used to is a type of obsessive love. Love for my hobbies for my fandom, obsessively thinking and tinkering and participating in them.

But is that really sincere? How would i know i haven't loved in a romantic way before. So really i just wanna know what sincere love is and how to express that.

Not a single person here respects a series they don't personally like. Im honestly baffled, like damn. This why the authors don't talk about the their fandoms. Y'all genuinely are just as toxic as the people you make fun of and you can't tell cause your not shipping children.

That being said though i kinda love watching y'all fight cause some of the stuff y'all be making is genuinely hilarious.

This is not a glaze post.

A while ago when i finish a manwha or just any story or anything in general i try to be objective and put in on a tier list. Not like a quick thought but like i sit down, and write down everything good about it and everything bad about it , having categories for favorite characters, favorite line etc etc,Trying to understand why i didn't or did like it. I think helps me understand why this works here and not there etc etc,its my own writing practice.

So since ive been advised to read lots of book. I thought to start with the one i love the most, but no matter how much i think about. I only have like the minor of complaints. I always thought i was an objective person but im really having a hard time here. It could just be it's goated and has no flaws but maybe I'm missing something or an outside perspective.

The series is called Epithet erased prison of plastic if you're gonna read it. Although i wouldn't recommend it just because the book is basically S2 and for s1 you actually have to watch the animated series on yt which is a literal slide show (I promise its a really good slideshow but not everyone gonna wanna watch that)

Like to be clear they still have to be kids. But you know they grew up too fast because of circumstances. If possible i would like the story to be light hearted,im kinda unfamiliar to what's the usual tone for these stories so im making guess work. And to be clear im not looking for any kids stories, like stories that were made for 7 year olds. Im talking about stories that could be read for kids but can also be enjoyed by all ages.

And to add i like:

Fantasy, good character, good world building and a interesting premise.

I dislike:

Dark romance, random misunderstanding in the middle of the book ,random love triangle. Stories where the protagonists just knows all the answers and seemingly hit every QuickTime event perfectly in every situation.

Like im not looking for a book with all the things i like and none of the things i dislike but you know i feel just child protagonist with a light tone might be too broad.

Like in writing and in general. How did everyone misunderstand me and think I've only read 1 book and nothing else. When i explicitly said i read full length novels.

(To be clear it slipped my mind and ive just remembered I've read howls moving castle and the entirety of the hunger games series. Which isn't alot but its more than 1.)

So for my writing aswell how can i be more clear without anyone misunderstanding what im trying to say while keeping the subtext and not being literal or too concise? (To be frank i think im being clear all the time but since ive frequently been misunderstood, that isn't true at all.)

Like i don't know I've studied the one book I've read and i don't know why my entire story can seemingly fit within 50k words.

And to be clear i read alot of things alright,i just haven't found other book interesting,i like reading novels if the manwha im reading has one. Like to continue the story cause im impatient. Manwha and novels are my main reading mediums is what im trying to say.

Like im a preety long winded person and my story has lots of characters and arcs and story points but im feeling like i can start and end an arc within the next 5 pages. How is happening? And to be clear its not like there's something wrong with my story as is but i don't want my story to be so short but i refuse to make it padded out.

Like for example right. I:

Start arc

Get to middle of arc

Get to climax

And this leads up to the next arc. Cause you know you're story has to connect.

Any advice?

This isn't in particular to anything but any time a person uses X series name to trash on another series because X is way better and that Y is super overrated or it's actually awful and everyone who loves it has awful taste. I find myself facepalming cause do you really think the author of this story you're glazing would applaud your behavior? You're just embarrassing everyone else in the fandom because you're needlessly trashing on something that just kinda exists but isn't something you like.

u/Last_Yard_6554 — 24 days ago

Like its always been a dumpster fire but a weirdly persistent, long running and well liked dumpster fire.

And I've been seeing some fan art of it recently so how's the show nowadays has it gotten better?

reddit.com
u/Last_Yard_6554 — 25 days ago

Like im sorry, just because you can't understand the themes of the story or why this works and why it doesn't or why this character is good despite watching the show i really have to ask if you actually asked yourself that question or you're just basing how well something is written by how it wowed you in the moment.

Like im sorry im very unimpressed by you're larger narrative structure when your scene by scene plays are boring as shit.

Although to be frank this applies to like bad plots like Hilda's racism and honestly the entire Movie of howl's moving castle

Good writing manifest, scene by scene. Interaction by interaction. Action's by action's. It all cuminates into something complete.

Absolutely nothing well written is only supposed to stand on its biggest moments. This applies to characters, themes, arcs anything in writing really. At least this what i think. What's the point of you're story if im only gonna enjoy it when it ends?
