Hi everyone, I’m scheduled for a port placement tomorrow under twilight and I’m absolutely terrified. I get immunotherapy not chemo but after 3 years of treatment my veins are starting to give in (2-3 pokes per try). I’m so hesitant because I’ve read horror stories and on the flip side I have had people
Comment that they loved their port. Are there any tips to help with the scar? How long did you have to refrain from exercising etc? It’s scheduled under twilight which also scares me. Thank you in advance

Just wondering for those with kids old enough to notice how you navigate your Ed around them? Do they know or notice anything?

First please don’t judge me. I think pregnancy is beautiful, baby’s are beautiful and a gift.

But recently I’ve seen an influx of 9 month pregnant people with there belly’s constantly out in skimpy bikinis flooding my socials. And only recently have I felt like this is so exposing and perhaps inappropriate? I almost get freaked out by it and I just wondered if anyone can relate or if any of these feelings someone can relate to or if it’s just deep rooted in my effed up ED. I feel guilty even typing this out 😭😭😭

For those that use jergins gradual self tanner what is your routine with layering daily and then scrubbing and starting over? I’m so blotchy!

I’m so frustrated without even an examination radiology is telling my dr they prefer a PIC Line over a port for ivig. When my treatment is indefinitely, just makes no sense. Has anyone else had this happen?

For those with ports did you get general anesthesia or twilight? I opted for twilight but I’m scared

Title is probably self explanatory but I had to have emergency dental surgery (tooth has lots of stitches down at the bone and packaged) my dentist said no chewing or brushing that side for 10 days (it’s a lower molar) so I need ideas for healthy food/ meals that are soft! Thank you in advance.
