There's just no way these supervisors and postmasters make less than us carriers to accuse us of stealing times. They are lying to get at us.

Seriously, can any genuine supervisors confirm. Why TF are these supervisors telling me their job is harder than ours, claiming they get paid less than us even thought the closing time is 6 and we get punished if we ever go past. They want CCAs to be speedy and take all the hits and be be back 2 hours before the 8 hours routes to do everybody else's hits. Make one mistakes they think you're cheating them.

Why are these managers so petty and childish?? People can't have a slow pace day where their legs aren't working too well or a headache from the sun?? My 90 days ain't even up yet and everyone expect me to do as much and some days more than the regulars. The regulars complain about the hits? It's the new CCAs fault. She's fast so why can't she go faster?? Seriously fuck these people. It's just carrying mail and I feel like I have to be a mediator for everyone's work load. If they had to suffer through being a CCA before, why can't they be nicer to the new ones. No wonder all the other CCAs quit.

Are we never going to hold the current generation of terrible irresponsible parents who's ruining the education system as well as their kids' future by begging for handouts and special treatments?

Seriously. Teachers are quitting in droves. The district administration have lost their steam, the entirety of the public school system relies on good grades to receive fundings, meaning the underpaid teachers' paycheck. Where the current generation of kids can't do basic arithmetic, read, or write a five-paragraph essays.

While generation z are out here working like packed mules for minimum wage jobs, sweeping the net for a good job in this economy, our next batch of future adults can't even read or write. The same college and University that's raising their yearly tuition EVERY YEAR at this point, will soon start dumbing down their education system because obviously they need students to attend for business.

Wherever we are headed does not look bright. Will we ever hold these terrible parents accountable for raising troublemakers who will denigrate the demographics. All these iPad kids who can't control their ill-tempered attitudes in class, never learn basic critical thinking skills entering highschool, are we to pay for both social security for the elders outliving themselves AND babysit the next generation too?

Are we not allowed to pace ourselves as CCAs? Even when you're still new to said route and you're practicing??

I've only been a CCA for 2 months, so I'm still learning some of the routes out there, especially when I'm finally sent out to do the full route, it's hard for me to understand how I can get around and park on the right area etc, and what's worse I'm terrible at direction. I get lost all the time.

Now my only saving grace is that I'm very fast, I'm one of their fastest walkers and I was trained by the fastest walkers in the office. So since the beginning I set my standards which is speed. This clearly backfired on me because this gave the management the impression that I can be speedy on all route. I CAN'T. Especially routes that is clearly my second time doing fully. So why are they always telling me to go faster? And when I don't half-jog across the city, they think I'm pacing myself.

And the thing is, on a very light day, I DO PACE MYSELF. I want the hours. As CCA only working 40hrs/wk, with all those deduction, it's so clear to me I'm basically making $15/hr. It doesn't matter if I'd get a bad health insurance out of it, I have bills to pay. So why are management antagonizing me and on my ass about "taking my time" especially when I'm still tryna get familiar with these routes?? I'm here to work, I need my hours, my paycheck doesn't depend on pleasing management. And it feels like they hate me because they know I could go faster, but I just want to work at a regular pace like everyone else. And there are peeps slower than me, which is fine, because I know damn well their paycheck be stacked! Clearly I'm the dumb one for working too fast, setting the bars too high before I can reach it.

If the cutoff time is this, I'm gonna remember that's when I get back. Yet they expect me back an hour early everytime. I'm legit so annoyed.

7 month old would rather starve or eat trash than eat his kibbles or dog wet foods. I'm at my wits end, he's so skinny for a mastiff.

Is there any way to make him eat his meal properly, he'd rather beg pitifully, go so hungry he'd gnaw the table legs, than eat his own doggy kibbles. It's like he intentionally wants to become human or something. Sometimes he'd try to sit on the chair of the dinner table (he's not allowed on the dinner table and he knows it) and beg HARDER. We'd shoo him off it and eventually he does. It's like he doesn't care about our disproval for his bad behaviors.

The major problem is our dad is always caving in and feeding him our foods and scraps eventually. So it's impossible to train this behavior out of him. It's driving me nuts cause I don't think he's getting enough nutrients from table scraps.

we've spoke to our vets, they said he's at a healthy weight. But we must feed him dog kibbles for him to be healthy. But of course it's impossible to curb this behavior if my dad would just cooperate.

I can't move out from my parents because they quite literally NEED us.

I can't move away from them because they can't function without their children reading the emails, calling places to make appointments, deal with this clients, deal with their customers, work, life, tech. EVERYTHING. They can't do anything on their own. They talk about retirement all the damn time and all I do is dread the remaining years they will spend with me or my sister, because they simply can't function in America without our aids. Their broken English makes them unreliable, and I fear their "help" are usually just scamming their pockets, they need help with just about everything.

I sometimes sit and think about how they drag my life down. And how unfair and genuinely cruel they were to us as children, beating us for not understanding the adult world, be it government letters or bills, or "you go to school, why can't you make this phone calls and make this impossible demands and let us speak to the managers???!" I don't want to be ungrateful knowing their background, but these parents have messed us up so badly, now I can't even ditch them cause maybe one day they'll go homeless without us raising them.

My life can't start. Just gonna be stuck with my enmeshed family forever.

I tend to tell lots of white lies throughout my social life, with the exception of close trusted people, and it gives me much less anxiety sprinkling little lies here or there.

And I don't how to curb this habit. I think I've come to realize I'm more charismatic and "smart" when I white lie. Mostly because I don't trust to tell about about the real me, the real me is dull and kinda awful, but this white lie version of me has a lot to say and twist boring old me into someone interesting. Because of this habit, I've become weirdly secretive and whenever the real me comes out, I get spikes of anxiety and nervousness internally.

Does anyone also have this coping mechanism to redirect your anxiety and distrust of people? How have y'all solved this?

How to fix this? The washing machine wasn't even on nor used the whole day, where did the bubbles come from??

I found this when I came home from work today. This only started happening this week but we never caught what caused the leakage until today. We thought previously it was due to the washing machine drainage being loose and called a repairman but he couldn't find the problem. Today this happened right when I got home even though nobody used the machine today.

Jimmy Olsen...what is the point of this character?

I'm only on season 7, episode 17, and I see no sign of Chloe actually loving him back (I feel super bad for the guy), and while his friendship with Lois is finally progressing, I see nada with Clark. I can't even remember the last time Olsen even spoke to Clark seriously without being treated like Chloe's random boyfriend. Isn't Jimmy supposed to play a larger role in superman's life eventually, replace Pete as the male best friend? And Clark doesn't exactly have too many friends either, but it seems like Jimmy isn't coming across as a serious lore-center character.

I can't believe how pathetic one character Lana could make of both Clark Kent and THE Lex Luthor. What the hell was 06x16

Not all things this episode was bad, like Lionel Luthor's hidden intention, turns out to not be so good nature despite willing to withhold Clark's secret, and now he'd also rather imprison Lana Lang after she found out. It might be my own delusion that Lionel for once did Lex a favor, guaranteed his wedding was a success and Lana Lang didn't ditch him (for now).

But my god, I cannot believe Clark Kent choose now of all time to propose to Lana, on the day of her wedding to another man!! I know this is an old show, but you simply cannot portray the act of crashing the wedding and stealing the bride as an honorable heroic deed. It's crazy that everyone including friends and family encourage it. And somehow Lana is all blushing bride and head over heels becoming the damsel in distress again?? Girl, I can understand not wanting to be saved any other time, but in this scenario YOU CHOOSE to marry Lex. Lex did not force you to be/stay in a relationship with him. You definitely don't need saving from your own bad choice here. And I canNOT believe Lex was so desperate to keep Lana, he resorts to murder and willing to give up Luthorcorp to Lionel so he wouldn't lose Lana?? Are you serious? Lex should be the type to kill for less, he should be a mastermind and loveless by heart, he would not give up everything for the sake of Lana. Especially after his vision in Lexmas.

And can I talk about locking Chloe in the freezer to trick Clark into saving her, just so Lana can confirm Clark's secret?? Wtf. How is that not as bad as 05x02 where Lex placed the Kents in danger in an attempt to expose Clark. But because it's Lana, suddenly it's all good? I find so much hypocrisy in this. Chloe never went out of her ways to suspect Clark nor tried to expose Clark for his secret, her finding out was never consciously done. But Clark was ON HER ASS about that, even before she suspects anything.

But LANA LANG, who's "in love with both men, Clark and Lex" should have ALLLLL the privilege in the world to know BOTH their secrets. Bruh 😂😂. So despite Lex and Clark forever fighting over "I get to keep my secrets, so stay out of mine, and I will to yours." In Smallville, this rule never applied to Lana Lang. She deserves to know everything, she always deserves to be saved. Everyone else though? They get their consequences coming to them, their fault 100%. I don't think I've ever watched a show with this type of character, oml!

This is my unpopular opinion (if I was Zelensky). Yes this will sound extremely nationalistic and teethering on the edge of authoritarian, but all countries forced into war becomes nationalistic just until the crisis and existential threat is over.

Meaning, as horrible as it is to force conscription on their men, it is a necessary steps to preserve their country. Without these sacrifices, there will be no homeland to go back to.

Brings me to my next point: American women in WW2 is 50% of the reason American can supply another world war overseas inspite of also suffering from great depression. Women they filled the massive labor shortage caused by millions of men serving in the military, effectively enabling the allies to maintain, and double the industrial production of war materials. Not to mentioned, over 50% of the US war expenditures were financed through tax revenue. To meet war costs, US implemented the "Victory Tax" increasing income tax to about 75% of workers, raising the top marginal rate to 94% by 1944. A working economy improve your chances in war. You obviously can't leave your country vacant.

Ukraine knows this, that is why they're now importing millions of foreign migrants to make up for the labor shortages. Can you imagine working so hard at your job just to be kidnapped off the street to die in a war, meanwhile your country proceed to imports foreign labors to replace the job **you worked hard to keep**, that you worked hard to pay for a healthy nation again. Labor shortages would never have happen if they didn't let go millions of Ukraine refugees to make said riches in other countries, and pay taxes to other countries. The damage of war might mean those same refugees won't go back to Ukraine post-war.

If nationalism is the only choice they must resort to, then they should've implemented a stricter obligations to non-conscripted Ukrainians to stay home. Even just staying in Ukraine can economically aid the war.

Hi guys I'm a first time watcher, and I've finally reached season 5 ep 1, so it would be kind of you all to not give spoilers.

I'm sure this topic has been discussed a thousand times over already, the inconsistency of Clark's age. Lex is like what, 24 years old in the show (maybe?)? In the first episodes, both Lex and Clark appear to be around the same age, if anything Clark looks a bit older Everytime they changed the child actors. There's a few dialogue (so far) in the show were Martha Kent and Jonathan Kent refer to Clark as young as 3; celebrating his 3 years old birthday and he cried when he broke something in the house. Or when Clark was in Lionel Luthors body and talk about discovering his power at a young age and crying about being different.

All these scenes proves Clark was either younger than the child actor they got for little Clark, or Jonathan and Martha purposely age down Clark to socialize him like it was his first day born on earth - which it was, and he needed it.

But perhaps Clark physically is as old as Lex around the same time. They are meant to parallel one another on many ways, I wouldn't doubt Jonathan and Martha really did change the age of Clark in his certificate/identification, for the purpose of raising him like he was just a 3 years old.

This is my head canon (for now). I'm wondering if anyone else theorize the same.

Hi, guys. Im wondering what kind of advice can I get from those of you who are experienced with talking to elders with difficulties hearing and developing dementia/Alzheimer's. I noticed my way of speaking is either too monotonous or some of them always have difficulty hearing. They also seem to misinterpret my words and one of them surprisingly keep taking offense in my attempt at conversation. Initially I thought he was just too private and dislike the idea of a new caregiver coming in obviously taking care of him, the idea of being babysat must be humiliating.

Okay, I'll let him warm up to me. Let him do all the talking and just agree with him, cause he obviously can't hear me. Well overtime he's becoming more and more grumpy with me, either I'm not responding good enough for him or he just hates my conversational skills? I can't help it, he's speaking mostly gibberish, I do my best to interpret his jargon but sometimes it just comes out as nonsense. I'm trying to be agreeable but its pissing him off further.

What am I supposed to do to improve my companionship skills? I noticed the other caregivers can easily lift up their mood so smoothly, why can't I do that? Is it because I'm not chirpy enough?
