What’s your favorite things about bioshock?

I’m 23 now and I’ve had jacks chain tattoos around 5 years. The game itself influenced my love of swing music, Lovecraftian horror, and an all around love of anything old school. I really think there is something in these games for everyone.

My family has always struggled with substance abuse. The whole idea that this city is filled with super power junkies killing themselves for another hit was something I quickly fell in love with even as a youngster. Jacks tattoos symbolizing his life as a slave to his dna was something I always loved. And the good ending🥹 he chose freedom over power. Power over one’s self. The ability to choose what’s best for you. And not in an objectivist way. But in a spiritual human way. I hope everyone can experience a fate like Jack. Dying of old age surrounded by a family who loves you. A family you chose to have.

Andrew Ryan being a play on Ayn Rand with a little Walt Disney is such a perfect villain. I love him I hate him I love to hate him. His quotes are unforgettable. His dark past and mysterious outlook on life was something to take note of. “A man chooses! A slave obeys!” Is burned into my mind. “We all make choices, but in the end our choices make us” is great. or some personal favorites “10,000 Adam to any man or woman who can bring me there head!” And “which one of the bitches sent you? The kgb wolf? The cia Jackal?” And “kill me! Would you kindly.” His final moment he’s giving his “son” a chance at freedom. Showing him this whole time he’s been a pawn. A mindless muscle sent to kill his “father”.
You make it to the man with the answers. And his only answer is to show you have mindless you truly are. “ATLAS! You may kill me! But you’ll never have my city!” He’s just so cool.

Over all my favorite thing about bioshock is its themes. Self sacrifice, overcoming evil nature, antiobjectivism, and the idea that YOU hold the power to change your life and no one else. This idea that no matter how addicted you are to something. You have the power to change and you alone.
A man chooses a slave obeys.❤️‍🩹

Thanks for reading would you kindly tell me your favorite things!?

Can anyone else agree?

I realize I’m asking this on reddit so I get what I get lol.

I’m 23 and have loved suicide boys sense middle school. I was 13 when Paris dropped and I remember feeling like I struck gold. I’d listen to them religiously until maybe junior year or highschool. When they really became “mainstream” that one bs song about “one more pic and I’ll be gone” made me actually hate them. It was so different then the usual shit they’d make and it became so popular cause of tiktok. And all the larp followed lol. I always felt like the music was for me ya know? All the religious talk, the drugs, and the self pity was something I understood all to well. It felt like overnight they where making music for people like me. Then the nose ring girls took over on tiktok. Haven’t listened to them the same sense. I understand around this time they started to clean themselves up which can definitely be a contributing factor to the music changing. But besides my guilty pleasure songs I can’t stand these guys anymore and the “fan base” is the worst. Sorry if I hurt anyone’s feelings. Had to get this off my chest lol these guys got me through so much and now I can’t stand any of it.💔 I hope someone gets it!

My suicideboys story! Can anyone else agree?

I realize I’m asking this on reddit so I get what I get lol. Also sorry if this doesn’t really fit the guidelines of this community. “About, of, or for the author” is a little confusing lol. If it gets taken down whatever.

Darth mauls show left me disappointed!

SPOILER ALERT!

For a show about darth maul you sure don’t see him do much. He gets his ass kicked over and over, everyone dies, n they build up these ideas that go nowhere.

This should be about the shadow lord in his prime. Not him getting beatin by Vader in vaders prime!
I do like how calculated he seemed in the first episodes. That falls apart quickly. He’s way too calm during fights. My darth maul is screaming and growling during fights. Half the struggle he faces is about his robot legs malfunctioning…boring! I did really enjoy his force visions of his past. I truly thought that would be the Turing point causing maul to turn to a hate driven beast. But no he can’t seem to shake the scared little boy persona. Which would be totally fine if they didn’t make him loose every fight. The little subplot of random side character loosing his brother and later dying I felt was pointless slop. I do really enjoy both Jedi in the characters I think they were both portrayed excellent. And vaders scenes were cool don’t get me wrong. But like everyone dying in the last episode was lazy asf. From the robot to the mando to the beat cop. And Ik Ahsoka kills both these inquisitors but I find it incredibly hard to believe that darth sidious first appearance would smoke an inquisitor in moments. And every episode really didn’t have much filler if any at all but they still felt half baked. #notmyshadowlord lol

I’m a butcher at the local grocery store. Worked here about ten years now and haven’t had en experience exactly like this one lol. A woman tells me her dog has an illness that’s been affecting them for over ten years and the dog needs a super specific diet of 90 percent lean “ANGUS” burger. And she claims anything other than angus will get her dog sick. Now personally I think that’s BS. But I helped her out and made the burger she wanted. But the whole time I’m thinking this poor sickly old dog what’s the point of keeping em around? I’d have more comfort knowing my pup isn’t in pain anymore. Maybe I’m wrong for not thinking that maybe he lives a great life…she didn’t make it seem like it tho. lol.
