I've been out of the game for some time now, my 2011 Honda CRV has finally hit it's point of no return, (rejection during it's new 2 year inspection period) and I know prices have gone ballistic these days. I'm trying to see if it's worth while to get this vehicle. Accident free on CARFAX (Canada)

Every lot I looked at had worse prices in my area and this dealer has a really good rep (Clutch)
and this is probably the best value I could find in my price range and accident free, very little cosmetic damage etc. it does have a 10 day window to try the vehicle and return for any reason. Keep in mind where I live lol, Canada.

I find it crazy that some people online are saying the suit against Denims is going to come with a price for fair use as if people haven't been practicing fair use successfully for decades now

Doesn't it seem kinda silly that a brand that for years has thrived in allowing and watching their fans utilize third party controllers to play their games just decides to design their controller to only work on Steam?

the controller is quite pricey and I don't even normally go out and just buy hardware for the sake of it but admittedly I blindly support Valve because their reputation and their products are always top notch, and fuck Nintendo

I was excited to purchase the controller... but if I can't use in on emulation outside of steam I am pretty bummed out about that...

Every time I do PC research, I eventually hit the same roadblocks.

First, I struggle to figure out how much PSU wattage I actually need for all my parts.

Then there's the CPU selection.

I know that a newer lower-tier CPU can sometimes outperform an older higher-tier CPU, so it's not always obvious which one is the better choice.

I'll basicslly look at CPU test videos on games I play to choose

then I assume to look at the current-gen GPU's but I don't know whats a good GPU CPU combo that compliment each other

Then I look for a motherboard that supports that latest CPU but one model will have a million brands and options

After all that I find myself just going into pcpartpicker to play a guessing game with a CPU GPU combo and then I eyeball a motherboard with DDR5 and PCIe 5.0

M.2 and ram otherwise seems pretty straight forward

Okay so this is going to sound really dumb but it's my ocd. So I have a 20k emergency fund money market account.( I know, it takes time to transfer so it's not a good emergency fund) but esentially I kept transferring the monthly interest it accrues over to my chequings for some dumb personal reason so it stayed at this pretty 20k. I only thought about it now that it's a TFSA so is this technically counting as taking contribution room away every time I do this? if so I'm going to stop being dumb lol thanks.

for the last 10 years I've highly considered getting rhinoplasty and the only thing that has been stopping me is the judgement/guiltof my parents for spending that much money. But besides that I also have nasal polyps that's always interfered with my breathing. The only relief I've ever got after trying multiple pills and steroid sprays is dristan. For a guy with a giant beak of a nose it's awesome that god blessed me with struggles breathing through it. 😂

so I guess my question is, should I not even consider getting this surgery done if that's the case? or should I get a consultation with a doctor first and see my options?

esentially I'm not looking for anything super duper, just looking to find something to where I can run overwatch 2 with my friends and deal with less random stuttering sometimes during the game where my frames drop. I noticed my CPU seems like it's going over 100% at times during the game. I never have anything running at the same time except discord. I'm just running 1440p. I'm not interested in doing some fresh build, and I'm not concerned about maybe buying into something that's behind the curve. Just wondering if there's maybe a CPU or GPU I could swap in to help with the frames and run high settings. And I'm terrible at knowing what works with what and a decent deal to go after. Thanks!
