P3 stukov has so much potential it frustrates me

I know it sounds like a shitpost but here me out.

  1. Overlords spreading creep. Why does no one do this like ever

  2. Infested micro, if you leave your infested alone they get clumped up it's better to have them move forward in a fight and surround a target kinda like zergling micro where they surround a target before attacking.

  3. Optimal bunker placement, putting bunkers in different parts of the map and not all in the same area is super important. It keeps your infested from getting clumped up and catches random enemies. It slows random attack waves and most importantly it allows allies to actually kinda move through your swarm of infested. Putting them on the edge of areas and in little pockets helps out so much. Just don't put them with like a tile of each other.

Also making sure to keep your ally in mind is super important. Make sure they have room

  1. Queens, they are so good, they have a AOE spell, anti air, detection for allies and your own units, a snipe that can hit any target and they fly with boosted energy with a upgrade. Why does no one use them they are so good.

Also just wanted to throw in the banshi here. They have like 200 HP upgraded with invi and can burrow for energy and super fast HP regeneration. So if microed correctly they will never die

I've been playing a lot of p3 stukov lately and I'm getting some rounds where I'm running around faster than I would something like Raynor. It just frustrates me seeing someone else play him and put all the bunkers in the middle of the map and with 7 apm barley help other than clog up my army and block walk ways

Hot pocket fl4k- a very non serious build

i was experimenting around with the fact that scorcher ant does bonus dmg in puddles so i though to get the scorcher ant to a self made puddle with the artifact, and the gear was already going melee so i though on fish and trying to take advantage of ground breaker. not a perfect build but i though it was alot of fun and surprsingly tanky. i would post longer but there is a upload limit on reddit and i dont know why the screen is so small in the video thats my b for whatever reason

Needing help finding a mod for a max level cap

im running nexus mods and wanting to find a mod that caps the amount of levels. The reason is that i want to do a play through for a long time and dont want to run into the issue of hp scalling. I like alot of the beginning of the game in how most things are viable but the late game makes me want to jump off a cliff. Wanting to do a more grounded slow to the ground survival play through with winter time weather

Im not up to date on anything right now since i last played like 8 years ago. any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

FL4KINST3IN build- hybrid pet/ fade away/ terror build

Ive been testing this build for a while now throwing in and out ideas and i just need help with the dmg formula. before people ask im going to put some things in here on the whys with this build.

This build is a hyper aggresive buid that is designed to pull your pet along with you as you move up in combat. the problem most hybrid pet builds have is postioning of your pet and getting him to hit the right shit. so i went with the Cmdl3t class mod and the bull loader. This will allow you to allways have your pet at your side and gain a bit of bulk. And with messy break up plus fuzzy math your pet will be killing alot.

Most importantly is your pet killing things while you are in fade away. with Not even a challenge every pet kill you get increases fade aways action skill duration. so it becomes this ever increasing snow ball of dmg and fast action skill activations. I might switch to a diffrent annoint on the messy break up though since i think it is messing up my dmg.

The mesmer is just for agro relief since i dont have the skill points for dommiance though honestly not my circus might be more than enough and the extra dmg for a diff grenade might be nice.

The only reason im sticking to hyperion weapons is that my class mods have bonuses for them. i though the redistributor might be worth it here but it seems to be underperforming. i might test other weapons.

The only reason i went terror for annoints is for the pet dmg though honestly i think its costing me dmg overall idk. i might just need more ways to gain terror

Any help for optimization and dmg formula stuff would be greatly appreciated

Why do the vault hunters in the later games feel so bland?

For context Ive been playing bl3 for a long time and have a out 700 hours in the game and by the end game all the vault hunters feel kinda the same. So I decided to try out borderlands 1 to finally complete all the borderlands games. And finally I get what all the hype was about with one.

With borderlands 1 it feels like your in a badland with raiders at every corner while being a badass. But all believable that they would be there. Despite it being a barrage of orange it felt full of life and ideas. Even if the builds are more simple, every perk feels like it was designed to always have you be improving by a noticeable standard. That and the terrain feels like it was designed so that you can take cover easy and approach carefully.

When I compare it to like 4 it's night and day. Huge map with a lot of nothing. All the characters could be pulled out of some shit like destiny and no one would have noticed. Despite it being called "borderlands" there is so much green life that you could compare it to like Hawaii. And every skill point you get you just click and hope it helps you somehow with the word salad. That and it feels like the terrain itself is hurting you more than any enemy. Though most of that is me complaint about 4

Then the vh themselves just feel awful. There is no negative quality about them. Which just makes them feel worse. Mordercai was a sharp shooter that struggles a lot in close range and as a character he had his bird die and with him being a alcoholic or brick having such bad anger issues he left the raiders to become a raider king. All the VH from bl3 and upward are all just "wow I kill people aren't I CRAZYY and QUIRKY". They don't feel mercenaries they feel like super heros that are pretty chill on murder and everyone that isn't good is comically evil.

It just lacks soul. And mind you my first real borderlands game was 3 with my most in that game for the shooting and builds and nothing else. But once I picked up 1 and 2 it felt right. And I don't know if it's the maps, or the characters, or the writing I don't know. But now it feels like I finally get what everyone was complaining about, like it just clicked

How I would fix fl4k's purple tree

Ive got close to 700 hours in this game and most of it has been playing fl4k. but god the purple tree disapoints me so much. Its got so many problems from bugs to bad skills to downright taking debuffs for running the purple tree, aka the laoder pets. I know this will never get fixed and will always be pretty bad so i had a little though experiment on how i would buff the pruple tree.

This isnt though making it so that he gets 40 quidillon damage though. i tried to make it realisticly close to the game and what might be plausable as a replacement. My though proccess is wondering how to make the purple tree synergize with the green tree better and how to make it better at bossing since trap does close to nothing to bosses. some of it as well is just quality of life stuff too. While the buffs seem kinda small i tried to make them synergize with the rest of fl4ks kit alot

I hope you guys find this thought experiment kinda ammusing on what could have been. Let me know if any of these ideas are shit or too OP. and thanks to anyone that takes the time to read this.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Buff- Wooly armor [skill]- While shields are full, your pet gains a 75% damage resistance and is immune to status effects

Rework- Not even a challenge [skill]- Make Not even a challenge into a hunter kill skill. Cooldown reduction effect on Not even a challenge is dropped down to 4% per level

Rework- Trap card [augment]- While in the radius of gravity snare fl4k will be Invisible

Bug fix- Loader pets-  bonus stats applied properly to Fl4k. Barbaric Yawp[skill] now affects loader pets. Allow loader pets to get nicknames

Nerf- Loader pets- Loader pets now take additional damage from corrosive sources

Buff- Monkey do [skill]- Monkey do now applies regular amp damage to your next shot instead of Kinetic amp damage

Buff- Success Imminent [skill]- The nova from this skill no longer breaks barrels and can not effect water or liquids

Rework- Capacitance [skill]- Activating your action skill quadruples your shield recharge rate and makes shield recharge delay instant. Activating an action skill while your shield is full will take away 50% of your max shield hp

Skill duration will be 2 seconds
Cooldown will be 10 seconds

Gamma Spam

The build is a little funky but ill try to explain to the best of my ability. Normally on a super pet build you want your Gamma burst up for as long as possible but it has problems synergizing with ASS and ASE annoints. There is also the fact that no matter the pet, your pet will lag behind. Plus you always want to use Red fang as that provides good taunting and lets you run around but you might be missing out on some dmg.

So the thought was cut out out green tree and use full red and a little bit of purple to get |Not even a challenge| and |Head Count|. You might think that without green tree you lose out on alot and in a way you kinda do but there are ways to make up for it. Void rift is really good in ffyl because it pulls everything in and deals a crap ton of dmg so you dont need |lick the wounds|. Plus with a class mod with splash radius the rift is alot larger than people give it credit for.

|Domaince| is a pretty good replacement to Red fang. And honestly Bounty hunter gives plenty of extra ,bonuses that its often worth it over red fange. the only reason i didnt go green tree is just not enough skill points. |Megavore| plus |Head count| gave me enough cool down reduction that i didnt need to worry too much so i could skip |Eager to impress|

The goal of the build is really simple. Keep the skill up time of Gamma burst low and constantly reposition your pet to better spot to deal more damage/ stay on the move. With how often you activate your action skill a diffrent sheild like revolter or Version 0.m prob work better but thats up to you. I just like nuking wherever i point gamma burst. Do not take any percs or augments that increase your action skill duration, it will slow you down.

There are way better builds in the game i just like to test and thought i would be a fun build to share. The artifact could be adjusted to like toboggan or somthing. You could take two points out of |Not even a challenge| and put the extra points into |Furious attack|, you will have to rely on |Head count| a bit more but also more dmg

Here is the skill tree if you want to play around with it and if you want to tweek some numbers

Does anyone really know what a balanced state for the game really is?

I see people balance whine all the time but like every play style in the game has a counter and a strength. I feel like a lot of the games are more dictated by decision making rather than any individual unit or strat.

That and personal unit micro changes how interactions work by a whole lot. Where if a person has bad or worse micro compared to a opponent then they are more likely to lose engagements ,but even that only applies if there isn't anything preplaced by either player like static defense and this can just go on and on and on.

I just feel like people are more looking for excuses to why they lost and come to reddit to whine rather than learning the game more. I say this because when I compare it to broodwar which is arguably less balanced than st2 it has a stable meta game for all races and a good amount of strats for every race.

That and when I ask people "what's the ideal state of the game, what's the end goal?" They have no idea. I say this because each race is supposed to have weakness and strengths. Different things to separate themselves from each other races. So trying to compare each of them to each other is like comparing apples and oranges. Don't get me wrong there have been broken units in the past that have led to brain dead strats but I feel like the game has been tweaked enough that if it never got an update again the game would still be playable in 10 years.

But no matter how much you tweek little numbers here and there the game is ultimately never going to be perfectly balanced because it's nearly impossible to quantify balance when none of the races are supposed to be even in certain roles.

Then again maybe I'm just crazy.

Who canonically killed handsome Jack and took on the dragon?

By the events of borderlands 4 is was wondering who actually pulled the trigger? I've read some sources say it was Lilith but like she was all tied up during the fight. My head cannon was always kriege due to him always calling us a filthy bandit and the borderlands 3 dlc kinda showing how Hyperion fucked up kriege's life.

Who wins? Nimrod (from X-Men) or Mahoraga (from JJK)

I have no idea about any of the feats or lore of those two charcters. All i know is that they are both well know for there ability to adapt. But if there is some dumb feat that makes one so much stronger than the other let me know.

This is also assuming they can fight each other and there isnt somthing weird going on with cursed stuff from jjk

What is the ideal state for each race in PvP?

I see a lot of players talk about how things are not balanced or something is dumb but balanced but It got me thinking. What is the ideal version of each race supposed to be?

I don't have any experience in PvP though I just play campaigns and co-op so I have no real say in this one way or another. I just watch pros play from time to time but I see so much pointless bickering that it makes me wonder what people actually want or are they just fighting to fight?

On my last two commanders that i kinda hate playing (kerrigan and fenix) any tips?

i just dont like to play these commanders, i have all the other ones maxed out but i just dislike them and i dont know why. with kerrigan i try to go for brood lords and it somtimes works and fenix dosent really have that spam unit. so the grind is just kinda slow for me.

Any tips are appreciated
