2 months back, I got a client from instagram, name and shame, it was this guy:

The starting date was 1 May.

The contract clearly mentioned that it was only applicable for a month, but this guy still made up some BS logic that it will be carried on to the next month etc,etc,etc.

On June 5, he himself stopped sending videos to edit. The contract mentioned 60 days waiting period if I quit in between, so, I decided to wait.

Now, after 2 months, he has been blocking off my calls, messages, e-mails, even from different numbers.

What I have tried:

\\\\\\\\- DMCA takedown, 1 video was taken down as I had the master file, rest were rejected

\\\\\\\\- Cybercrime complaint, they said it was a civil matter, they can't do anything

As a student, I don't have the time or money to go through all the legal processes for civil dispute, and as the amount is 7k, which is pretty big for me, I can't just let it go.

Please advise me on what to do next, this has been a major problem for me.

So I've been working for a client for the past 1 month. Here are the exact contract terms are listed at the end.

I wanted to take a break of a few days because of exams, but the client says:

- If you leave now, salary Withheld for 2 months

- Work till 10 June and put notice period, salary will be credited by June 30

- Keep working on the terms

What I don't understand is:

- The contract was for 1 month only ? How will this carry on to next month ?

His answer :

Each organization has a 10-15 days notice period, you'll have to work till June 10 for salary to be credited. 1 month always includes (30 days of month+10 days extra) for each organization.

Can anyone please clarify if his claims are right or have I fulfilled my part of contract and salary should be credited by June 10, and new contract needs to be established for further working ?

Technical Standards: Optimal pacing, audio leveling, and high-resolution output.

Work Volume & Delivery Timeline

2 reels per day (60–62/month).

Delivery before 10:00 AM (within ~24 hours).

Revisions Policy

Minimum 1 revision.

Maximum 2 revisions if needed.

Extra revisions require agreement.
