How is Design Engineering for someone who does not want to do "core" engineering like Mech E, Electrical etc? Thoroughly not interested in Computer Science. Is this a course to get a good Engineering base and build entrepreneurial skills?
A lot of "Desgin Engineering" specific posts here are a few years old. Just wanted to see how this branch has evolved over the years and the current state.

I need to drive 5 days to work and with all the kids classes and stuff, I end up driving 400 miles a week. I don’t have the option to WFH and this “war” looks like another forever war with the gas prices creeping higher by the day. I’m done hoping that the situation would resolve soon and the gas prices will come down. I’ve lost all hopes and am feeling terrible. How are you all managing this situation?

I am a Gen 1 user. My battery health is currently at 83%.
Overall, the watch is holding up great. But, my biggest gripe is the hear rate measurement during my long runs. Even after cleaning the sensor and wearing it sung, many a times, the heart rate measurement just does not latch on. Over a 2-3 hour run, the first 15-30 minutes might not record anything. Especially, outdoor runs.
Another thing is the offline maps. For some runs, I just download the offline maps as I don't want to carry my phone. It takes a long time for the maps to start showing up. Even then, zoom in and zoom out just takes a long time to load.
Are there things in the Gen 4 that will improve these? If yes, I'll definitely consider upgrading. Else, I'll stay put for another year.

5’11” male, 137 lbs. Finished a marathon block, finished the marathon. Next goal is 3:15. Used Superblast 3 foot long runs and some up tempo runs along with Saucony pro 4 and speed 5. Race shoes were NB SC elite v5. Will use the same for next race. But my other shoes are all at 400+ miles.
For the next block, I’m thinking I’ll use Megablast as a pretty much 1 shoe rotation till the race. The new NB SC rebel is equally tempting. Thinking about the Dynafish Xiaonian too.
I would like my shoes to be nimble, light and disappear. (Honestly, Superblast 3 was not that). 8.5oz is my weight limit.
Which one of the above 3 would you recommend for 20 mile runs with up temp miles in between? Or anything else worth considering?
I’ve a NB SC Elite 5 that I’m planning to use for my upcoming marathon. It has 50 miles on it now. I just wanted to break it in enough.
Can I add another 50 miles to it before I use it for the race? I’m a light runner at 135lbs at 5’11. I want to use it when it is at its absolute best and not when it starts to deteriorate.

I've a persistent issue of audio dropouts with my iPhone 17 pro which does not happen with my iPhone 14. Upon research it looks like the best option is to change the WiFi channel via Bimmercode.
I'm looking at what other interesting things I could do if I buy this? Also, is it something that I could continue to use if I move to another BMW, like say the i4 or iX3 or iX?

This is getting tired. The chips stocks are the most disconnected from analysts estimates. How can analyst estimates be almost 75% above the market price? It all looks like a grand scam at this point. End of venting. Sorry.
Light weight runner in late 40s, registering 200+ miles a month.
It looks like I might have to size up half a size in every shoe I buy. I’ve been running on size 11 forever. But, now, the toes are getting crushed after long runs. Though the Internet suggests it is normal aging, I find it hard to believe. Anyone here went through the same?
When I go to a restaurant, and I’m served food and the staff pick up the dishes, I typically tip. But, what about restaurants where I just go to pick up food? For example, a pizza place. They shove a screen which doesn’t have a custom option and the tips start at 20%.
What about places like Starbucks?
All, any idea on what the lab for this course would cover? This course has more lab hours than lecture hours.

I've music downloaded on my Apple watch Ultra for my long runs when I'm without my phone. My Apple watch Ultra does not have a cellular plan.
The music plays for around 10 seconds and stops. There are no other devices paired with to the Airpods Pro 2 in the vicinity at all.
This does not happen with my Bose Ultra Opens. So, looks like the problem is not with the downloaded music.
I've tried unpairing and pairing multiple times. But no use.
I don't have this issue when the Aipods are paired with my phone and playing through the phone.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is purely for long runs (16+ miles).
My build: 137 lbs at 5'11, male. 180-220 miles per month. Long runs pace around 8:40-9:00 pace. Mid distance runs around 8:30 pace.
I'm trying to find a replacement for my Salomon AeroGlide 3 for my long runs. I'm looking at the SuperBlast 3. As per the reviews, the SuperBlast 3s might not be as durable as the SuperBlast 2 and they get mushy towards the end of long runs and it is a step backwards from SuperBlast 2.
Want to hear the community's thoughts on SuperBlast 3 with long runs.
NOTE: For mid-distance runs (10-15 miles), I plan to go back to Saucony Endorphin Speed. Right now, I run both my mid and long runs on the AeroGlides.
As part of my marathon training, I’m looking to replace my retiring Aeroglide3 for my 18+ miles runs at 9:00 pace and 8:00 pace half marathon runs. I’m tempted to try the Mount to coast R1. But, a like skeptical. Other options I see a lot:
Megablast, but that is at-least $80 more expensive.
RAD UFO, just skeptical like R1.
I don’t want anything more than 8.5 oz.
Looking for SAT prep for my son, for June 6th SAT. He has a first attempt score of 1410. Looking for a 2-3 week online course which can give him lots of practice questions and full prep tests.
Would the Kiprun tempo be a good shoe to replace my Salomon Aeroglide 3 for my weekly long runs (18-20 miles at 9:00 pace) and 10-13 miles 8:00 pace runs? I’m 136lbs at 5’11”.
Other contenders are the ASICS Superblast 3 (not sure if it will too soft?) or Megablast.
I’m looking for shoes that offer reasonable bounce at that pace and feel very light on the feet. (Not any heavier than the Aeroglide 3).
