Local pharmacy recommendations
Does anyone have a go to pharmacy in Fort Greene? I'm trying to avoid CVS and honestly considering just sending prescriptions out to Costco since they have great prices.

I'm looking for a liquid glucosamine with a dropper for my 4 year old boxer? Think Cosaquin/Dasaquin but in a liquid formula. I've seen tons of the ones that go on food but my dog won't do that or the pills/treats so I want liquid in a dropper to make sure she is getting it daily. She just had TPLO surgery so I want to get this into her daily routine and pray we avoid needing it on the other side.
This has some solid reviews but not enough to make me comfortable: https://www.buddycheers.com/products/liquid-hip-joint-care-drops-4oz-dogs?variant=42219588943966
I'm looking for a new couch that is both firm and deep. I think modular is probably the best so I don't have to worry about whether or not it can fit through apartment doors and hallways.
Musts:
- Firm
- Deep
- Modular
- Be in or deliver to NYC
- BE COMFORTABLE
Nice to have:
- Easy to clean or washable (I have a dog)
Hi! I'll be moving to Fort Greene area and I'd love recommendations on vets offices, boarding places and daycares. Ideally with cameras in boarding/daycares. Oh also, vet ERs. The important things you need to have to be safe even if you don't need them immediately. Don't have to be in Fort Greene but ideally close.
What are the best newspapers/websites to follow for local NYC news? Focused on reliable information, not filled with misinformation and hatred towards the Mayor.
Would love honest opinions about the Queensboro Plaza area. I have seen some great apartments around it but have heard that isn't a great area to live for a woman who is walking dog long distances early in the morning/night.
I'm narrowing down apartments for an August move in so I can keep an eye on them as things become open.
I've researched just about all of them and excluded a lot that had bad reviews. So far the below seem to have promise. Would love to hear if anyone has thoughts on buildings, neighborhoods, etc. Or if I missed any great ones. Also if you have a referral happy to use it.

Things important to me
I've been looking for apartments around Brooklyn and I've found a few nice ones online that are in Gowanus. Unfortunately I then found tons of reviews cautioning people to stay away due to the toxicity of the canal. Does anyone have any information or live around there and have feedback?
I'm moving to NYC in August (I know poor timing but not optional) from across the country so I'm trying to get some recommendations from people who actually like where they live. I have a spreadsheet with dozens of places but it's so hard to know what's actually a good place.
I'm looking for the following. Would love recommendations.
- Target spend - $4000-4500
- Move target - August w/o 10th or 17th likely
- One bedroom but totally open to a Studio that has a lots of closet space or an alcove
- Requirements: W/D in unit, dog friendly (boxer 4 years old) and parking (I know I know but i have a lease...it's life)
- Ideally city face/floor to ceiling views
- Ideally has a gym
- Ideally close to a park / safe spaces to dog walk
- Ideally close to trains
- Location wise I've been focusing on Queens (LIC largely) and Brooklyn (park slope, williamsburg, etc.)
Thanks in advance.
