Help choosing my first flightstick?

Hello, I was thinking about buying my first flightstick soon. I've never had one, and so far I've played mostly with an old PS3 controller + keyboard and mouse if needed.

I'm still starting out and I'm also playing on a laptop, so I'm only playing lighter games like nuclear options and flightgear.

I've done my little research but I need some expert help in my decision. First of all, should I go with a beginner cheaper stick first? Like a used one or a cheap winctrl? Or should I buy what would be my final gear already?

If you suggest the second option, which stick do you think I should get? Right now I found these two:

  • Virpil CDT-AEROMAX-R (+ side throttle) - 242€
  • VKB Gladiator NXT EVO Premium Right - 208€

They both look equally good to me, but I'm sure there are some pretty important differences.

Situazione Spinoza

In uffici diversi, in città diverse, su programmi diversi.

Moving to Kiruna for work. Can you help me?

Hello,

I have been offered a job in Kiruna and I'm trying to understand whether relocating would make sense.

The salary will be 40000 SEK/month before tax. I have around one year of professional experience and would be relocating alone from Spain.

Would that salary be enough to live comfortably up there and still save some money every month? I have no real reference for Swedish salaries and cost of living, so it's difficult for me to judge whether this is considered low, average or good. Keep in mind I'd be living alone.

One concern is that the company would not provide any relocation support, housing assistance or transportation support. From what I have read, finding accommodation in Kiruna can be challenging due to long waiting lists. How difficult is it in practice for someone moving there without local contacts?

Finally, are there any important aspects of a Swedish employment package (like pension plan, insurance, benefits, etc.) that I should pay attention to?

Can a total beginner complete the project in the video without prior experience?

Hi everyone!

I recently saw this video on YT (shoutout Huy Vector) and I really want to try to build one myself. It’s a mini satellite that shows time, temperature, and humidity.
The thing is that I have ZERO experience. I’ve never touched a soldering iron in my life and I don’t even own one yet. I have a basic understanding of electronics from some university courses, but I’ve never built anything from scratch.

Do you think that would be a good first project? It looks simple in the video, but I'm sure it's harder that it looks.

I'm still sorting out all the components on aliexpress (this is the materials list) to keep it as cheap as I can. Since I need to buy everything, can you recommend a budget-friendly soldering iron or kit that is good for a beginner but precise enough for these tiny components? (and ofc as cheap as possible)

Any tips are appreciated :)

Hey everyone,

I'm currently using a Galaxy S21 FE (128GB, 6GB RAM) and I'm thinking about upgrading.

I found a deal on the Samsung site and I'm trying to figure out what makes the most sense:

S26 (256GB, 12GB RAM) at ~700€

S26 (512GB) at ~800€

S26+ (512GB, 12GB RAM) at ~900€

All of them come with a free Tab S10 FE + keyboard bundle, which makes the deal quite tempting, especially since my old tab S7+ broke.

My main doubts are:

- Is the S26+ actually worth the extra money over the base S26?

- Is 512GB worth it long-term, or is 256GB enough in 2026?

And most important, is spending this much (it's a lot for my standards, I paid my S21FE around €400) worth it or would it be good enough a mid range product?

I'm not limited to Samsung, so if you have other brands/models you'd recommend please let me know, as I'm not updated on the last models. Thanks!

Hi everyone! Sorry for the long post but I have a few things I need your advice for.

I grew this lemon tree from seed about 2 years ago and I'd love some input from more experienced growers.

This year was its first winter outdoors, it stayed on a sheltered balcony the whole time. I haven't started fertilizing yet (no liquid or granular fertilizer so far this season).

I have a few questions:

  1. Repotting: The current pot is about 25 cm (≈10 inches) in diameter. Would it be worth moving it to a larger pot at this point, or is it still fine where it is? Keep in mind the tree is around 1m tall (pot included).

  2. Pruning: I've never cut anything on this plant. Looking at the photos, would you recommend removing any branches or doing any shaping? Any general pruning advice for a tree at this stage?

  3. Leaf issues: I've noticed some concerning things on the leaves, including on new growth:

- Tips that look a bit rotten/mushy

- Tips that are dry and brown

- Some yellowing on certain leaves

What could be causing this? Could it be related to the winter, watering, or a nutrient deficiency?

Thanks in advance for any advice, really appreciate the expertise in this community!
