My son is almost 6 month and 21 pounds. Is almost outgrown 12m clothes and hes in size 5 diapers. I can understand why he's in 12-18m clothes because he is a very large boy, but I wish they just used weight instead of months. Diapers are the craziest because they DO go by weight but the sizing is so off. I feel crazy! We are currently using Freestyle which fit larger than other diapers I've used, but according to the size chart he should be in size 3 (14-24lbs) when hes actually in size 5 (28-40lbs). I feel like im using diapers wrong but I used to change diapers as a profession. Please tell me im not alone in this. Why are the sizes SO wrong???

My only thought is, my son is very large for his age and has HUGE thighs, so that may be the biggest factor in diaper sizes currently.

My son is 5 months and starting sitting at 4 months. Im struggling to find information on how long to allow a child his age to sit unassisted. He sits steadily upright without leaning (unless hes reaching for a toy) and he seems happiest when sitting but I worry about putting strain on his muscles on accident. Hes also 95th percentile so hes quite chonky, idk if that changes the recommendation but I thought I would add it just in case. TIA!!

Im 9dpo today and trying to get pregnant. I have 1 kid and got pregnant first try, but the anxiety of not knowing is killing me. I know everyone is going to say "just wait and test at 14dpo" but I need to vent. I normally get 0 pms symptoms.

My symptoms are the following

Cramping at 7dpo only

Tiredness

Irritability

Mood swings

Swollen breasts

Peeing more frequently

Stomach aches

Ive gotten 2 VERY faint positive tests but am unsure if theyre evaporation lines

I know we all know that we SHOULD wait the full 2 weeks before testing, but how many of us get excited and test early just to feel disappointed and out for the month because the 7dpo test was negative?

One thing that has helped me in not feeling bad about an early negative or gotten me to just not test early at all is looking at the statistics of getting a positive (of you are pregnant) based on dpo.

At 6dpo there's only a 3% chance of a positive

7dpo its 7%

8dpo? 18%

9 dpo jumps to a whopping 47%

10dpo thats 66%

11dpo is 79%

12dpo is 85% (thats still a 15% chance of a false negative!)

13dpo only jumps up to 89%

If you wait until 14dpo its 92%

15dpo only goes up 2% to 94%

16dpo is 95%

And there is always a tiny percentage of people who are pregnant who get a false negative

I keep hearing how 5 month olds eat every 3-4 hours which feels so foreign to me. My son is 5 months old and has eaten every hour since he was born. He rarely feeds for longer than 4 minutes and only goes longer stretches at night, and even then only some nights. Hes 20 pounds and ahead in all of his milestones, Im not worried Im just tired. We even recently introduced solids for allergy reasons and if anything he is breastfeeding more. Please tell im not the only one with a never-full giant baby

Damn HOA keeps sending people to cut down trees in the woods directly behind my home. Its protected wildlife conservation so idk how they can legally cut down trees but they do! This is the 3rd time, and they keep going through my backyard to get to it (braking the gate every time they do). Im renting and the owners said its not their problem. Today they woke my baby up and then I went downstairs to grab something for him and they saw me butt ass naked. Its literally 5 feet from my house. So pissed that i have to live here another year.

Edit: I have contacted the wildlife conversation in my area, they just havent gotten back to me
