can you help be find this romantic alternative indie soft-rock (i'm not very good with terminology but this is the best i can describe it.)

I've been looking for this song for about 10 years now to no avail because its so niche.

from memory the song goes like 'girll.. ah ah ahhh.. (something something), i want you girll (gets more emotional and has a slight rasp), i want you girll (more hushed and quiet)' the instrument is mostly guitar with strumming throughout, when he says 'ahh ahh ahh' the strumming is harder and matched to the vocal. then at the climax of the song it goes 'dn dn!! dnn dnnn dnn, dn dn!! giiirllllll, i want you girl', etc.

the music video features the lead singer (male) and a woman who i don't think sings much.

the song is about her trying to let go i believe, and him trying to get another chance, the song could also possibly be 'i love you girl'.

they are in a lake hair wet, the tones are muted and mostly black green and blue, their hair is black as well. they kiss in the mv to my memory as well.

the song was made in the 80s-90s or early 2000s and the closest i got was nick cave & the bad seeds, because one of the songs (henry lee) features a woman named pj harvey who looks very similar. the music video is pretty close, but the lyrics and instruments are completely different and there isn't even the lake. It could be nick cave but i'm not sure and part of me doubts it because the voice sounds different. but who knows.

thanks.

Got the operation yesterday.

It kinda hurts, but completely doable without painmeds (although, of course preferred lol).

It honestly hurt a lot more while it was ingrow/infected and as far as the operation goes, when they injected the local. I did not like that. But afterwards I was joking with the doctors during the operation. I've been cutting it for ages now, so I hope this works. At least for a good while.

I got 32gb of ram for free!

Not too long ago I asked if anyone had a PC they wanted to get rid of and I completely lucked out. 32gb ram, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6gb, and a Xeon E-2146G CPU.

I have only ever been able to buy cheap laptops with 4gb of ram, even my current win 11 laptop only has 4gb, but I decided one day I wanted to try digital art so I saved up for a refurbished PC that lasted me a good 3 years which had 8gb of ram, integrated gpu and an older generation i7. The PC was about 15 years old but it worked well. Unfortunately the ram started having issues and then the integrated gpu started having its own issues which progressively got worse until I could no longer use it. At the time I couldn't even afford another second-hand PC let alone ram or a dedicated GPU to fix that set of issues. So I asked if anyone had something they were willing to get rid of for cheap and I ended up with a total upgrade. I am super thankful for this because I have a small fanbase and I don't want to disappoint. Plus now I can enjoy digital illustration again and even make things in blender and actually be able to render them.

Anyone trying to get rid of an old PC?

I'm a digital artist and unfortunately my PC is playing up, I don't know if it's the GPU or RAM, but in any case it's not working to a usable degree.

I was wondering if any of you were looking to get rid of an old desktop or desktop parts. I'm not currently in the greatest financial situation so I'm hoping if you guys have anything it's either cheap or free. I really don't need anything special, as long as it works.

I know that some companies simply throw them away when replacing with newer computers so I figured I may as well ask the community.

Alternatively if you have any advice on how I can pick up parts, that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Epilepsy is depressing and I don't know what to do. Even drawing seems boring or takes too much focus than I am currently capable of.

I feel like I'm getting closer to finding the right dose for me while also getting further away, I've been happy with keppra for the longest time now, and I've only had 2 breakthrough seizures which compared to others is super good, but I simply want to lead a normal life. Yesterday I went to hospital for an infusion for another disease I have and I had the tonic clonic in the doorway blocking others from getting into the hospital. It took about 30 minutes before my memory started working again, but apparently I was responsive beforehand, I just simply didn't know specific things like the date or my name. Fortunately my mother was with me. It can be so confusing sometimes and I really hate having epilepsy. Its scary and bothersome. I've gone up to 2000mg daily, I hope that's the end of it. It always seems to be a perfect storm of things though, this time I was iron anemic with ferritin levels of 8 which seems to be the biggest contributing factor among other things like poor sleep, etc.

Intense nerve pain

All up I've been on steroids for about a year, I recently started influximab infusions and in about 2 weeks I get my next infusion. Around that time my most recent steroids taper will end, and I hope to never go on it again.

Every month or so roughly, shorter sometimes longer, I have these intense pain attacks in my room and back and sometimes jaw and submandibular region, it feels like my lungs are being stabbed but I can breathe perfectly fine, the pain starts out gradually and then goes from a 6 to a 10, it's never lasted more than 5 minutes, averaging about 2, but it's becoming more common the longer I'm on steroids, I've discussed it with my god multiple times and my GI team just wants to get me off of steroids and get me on something that works. I might take some sort of nerve block at this point. I generally have a really high pain tolerance but this is bad bad.

I was wondering if any of you guys have had anything similar, especially those of you who've been on steroids a long time. Just to note I have all the side effects at this point lol. Life sucks in steroids.

Edit: it generally calms down when I drink water, initially I knew it didn't last long but I still rushed to get Panadol, but now I'm realising vagus simulation likely helps, I need something that will prevent it though, because by the time I get to any water I'm already in a huge amount of pain

x.com doesn't see an issue with real CP related content🤢

I reported a user on Twitter (formerly x.com) for child safety reasons because they posted an inappropriate video of children doing inappropriate things, I also reported users who commented under the video who were sending telegram links and saying disgusting things. I guess X doesn't care about child safety. This is both disturbing and disgusting and I'm frankly really disappointed in the support system, it seems completely automated.

Starting Infliximab infusions in 6 days.

I have steroid dependent modertate-severe ulcerative colitis. this is my 6th course of steroids, i failed 2 immunosuppresants and they finally decided to put me on infusions. I was put back on aza to lessen my chance of developing antibodies to the biologic. I'll be starting infliximab in 6 days. For those of you who have tried this therapy, what should I expect?

Dulled spice on prednisolone

Has anyone else noticed on higher doses of prednisolone you cannot perceive spice at all? I've always been good with spice and had a high tolerance however under normal circumstances I would still get the burning sensation, however it's non existent currently and my sister thinks I'm trying to be cool or something lol. I did some research and it's to do with pain reception but I'm not sure how accurate what I read is, so I came here to ask others.

To note, I'm steroid dependant, about to start biologics and have only gone 2-5 weeks without a moderate flare, I've been on prednisolone on and off anywhere from 40-60mg, I've been on prednisolone nearly an entire year now.

My night time routine sucks

I already have to take medication for epilepsy and IBD including foam enemas at night, but recently my cyst has been acting up and now I'm spending upwards of 30 minutes draining and cleaning the cyst each night, using antiseptic and antibacterial washes, I've also had to keep a gauze near my crack to help prevent leakage during the day which would ruin my clothing. Fortunately I have all the medical supplies I do.

It got so large and painful a few days ago before bursting, a ton of smelly brownish liquid came out, pilonidal cysts suck. I'll be seeing a doctor the soonest I can in a few days, hopefully I can get them to surgically removed it as much as I hate surgery lol.

In my case it's definitely genetic, my brother and dad had it and so did My dad's brother and grandfather, everyone except people in my immediate family got it surgically removed. My grandfather had a big open operation.

Anyways I'm rambling on, the reason I came here was to ask what your best advice dealing with this is, I can't even sit down.

Spotted in Shinjuku bus, what does it mean?

I can understand the words but don't get what it means "私の名前はH棒" "降りる時によく見られちゃうんで、結構人気者みたい"

Is that a pun?

Been in the hospital a few days

I'll likely be starting influximab. Azathioprine and entisamod didn't work enough.

My doctors are often confused because I'm really asymptomatic. This time no blood, only going to the bathroom 2-4 times a day, etc, yet when I came here CRP was above a hundred, 3rd day it was 60 and they took blood this morning to check for any further improvements. It was weird though because like the first time they checked for c diff and this time they checked for testicular torsion. I've always been super symptomatic which slightly concerns me but I only ever got diagnosed with UC and it always starts from the rectum. It might just be more localised this time. Unfortunately for me my 5th course of steroids starting from 60mg began and I hate it, I hope it doesn't do anything bad
