Throwback to 10 Years Ago.

Just wondering who remembers this. I was in a discussing earlier with family about sissy soccer player fitness vs NFL and NBA. This was the first thing I thought of.

Tail LIGHT Bulbs.

I just had to replace my brake lights because one gave up. I had some down time and looked at some YouTube videos to refresh my memory. I replaced every single light, aside from the license plate bulbs, shortly after buying mine about 8 years ago. Finally one burnt out.

Every video I see on YouTube they took entire panels off, and some even removed the floor liner. There are really access panels specifically located to replace the bulbs, why are they making it so difficult?

I just replaced both rear brake lights and it took me about 10 minutes and did not require removing interior paneling.

Front Wheel Bearing Failure and Repair

Hello all, I believe I have a failed/failing passenger side front wheel bearing. It has been making a sort of humming sound with slight vibration. When I turn hard right, the sound stops, and then starts again when I resume driving forward. To me, this seems like a failed wheel bearing. Also, I'm really close to 100k and I have heard these regularly fail around that time. Assuming it is the wheel bearing, I will probably do both fronts at the same time. I read through several posts and watched videos on this repair, and I have a few lingering questions.

What are people's opinions on all OEM parts from Toyota vs buying an assembly like these from Yota Bearings and Hubs? Are there other parts recommended to replace at the same time? Any other general tricks and tips?

I'm also debating whether I will do this work myself, or if I will bring it to a mechanic. My concern isn't really my capability, but what I will do if I run into a snag and need an additional part or tools. I won't really have a good way to go out and pick up anything else I need, and I'm notorious for making 5 trips to Lowes whenever I'm doing projects on my house.

Edit: Discussed over the phone with the mechanic down the street. They quoted $760 each, which includes 3 hours of labor, but he wasn't sure what brand the bearing would be. I'll have to stop by if we want to look at specific manufacturers.
