How to broach the idea of antidepressants to my mom?

Hi. I'm 19 but stuck w my mother for the time being. Only including essential details about that, but long story short she's been abusive and neglectful all my life, I might get out soon but it's not a guarantee. Not asking for advice on that part, but it felt relevant to the story.

I had my first drs appointment since I was 7 just before I turned 18. My mother insisted on sitting in on it. She insisted on sitting in on every following appointment. My oldest brother semi recently got prescribed antidepressants by the same gp w/o a diagnosis for depression. I wanted to see about doing the same, as I've been struggling with depression since I was six. But my mother doesn't really believe in mental health. Furthermore, I'm usually at least partially dissociated when around my mother. She never sees me cry or even upset. The most she sees from me is mild annoyance. I feel like if I bring it up, she's gonna say "but you're so independent and strong. You're never sad, you can't be depressed!" Because that's all I allow her to see. I haven't cried in front of her since my brother almost died two years ago, and even then, she got mad at me for it, so i stopped as soon as I could make myself.

Sorry I'm rambling ugh I'm tired. But does anyone have any advice on how to bring it up to her when I've seemed fine to her for the last decade?

Conspiracy to Murder done by minor? (For a story but takes place in the staate of Washington)

Hi!! I'm writing a fanficiton and i just want to know if the sentence for conspiracy to murder would be any lower if the person being tried is a minor. this character has access to the best lawyers and just lost his entire family if grief and mental illness can hold any relevance. he planned to kill the people who killed his family and i wanted to know if aany of this would affect his sentencing and how long would you estimate he would be in prison for.

I think I'm close to escape, but I don't know if I can do this.

To keep this as brief as possible, I've been trying to escape my abusive mother for about a year now (I've known she's abusive for longer, but I turned 18 almost a year ago (my birthday is in a week)), and I've had places offered to me, but I couldn't take my pets. My friend offered for me to stay with him, my pets included, but I felt bad not having a job to pay rent so I told him once I get a job I'll take him up on that. We're getting evicted right now, and while we have somewhere to go, I would still be with my mother.

Two days ago, she left a hanger on the floor and I slipped on it and fell, breaking a few bones in the top of my foot for sure, and maybe my ankle and some other bones in my leg? (I felt the top of my foot flat against my shin.) She knew this, I asked if she thought it was broken, she said "Hope not." and still made me clean the house from 9 am to 5:30 pm with very minimal breaks. (Also, I was working in the only non AC room in the house, cleaning the floor. I have POTS, which flares up a lot when in the heat and changing postures, both of which I was doing all day. I was miserable. My heartrate hit 170 at some point. Sorry to complain.) This is far from the worst thing she's done to me, but this was my breaking point.

With the eviction, this is as close to my perfect shot at getting out that I've waited for for YEARS. But now that I'm close, I don't think I can do it. Mentally. I don't know if I can. I've been watching Dr.Ruth's videos on escaping abuse, and normally those kinds of videos give me hope, but now that I'm so close to escaping I can't watch them. I'm just filled with dread and anxiety. And my mother has been a lot kinder lately. I know that's a trap, and it's gonna go away soon, but god, I don't know if I can do it.

My[18nb] friend [18m] yelled at me in a video game a month ago and I'm still upset, but don't want to make him feel bad for hurting me. Help pretty please?

My[18nb] friend[18m] yelled at me in a video game a month ago and I'm still upset, but don't want to make him feel bad for hurting me.

Hello. I'm new to reddit so apologies if this isn't in proper etiquette. I also apologize if I'm verbose, I am an author and autistic.

A little over a month ago I (18nb) was playing a game with my friend (18m). I was being stupid in the game, he started yelling at me loudly because he was about to die. (And the volume isn't an exaggeration, a family member came to check on him afterwards and said he heard yelling.) I didn't know where he was, and it's a very intense and fast paced game. I didn't get to a point where he could grapple to me for safety fast enough, he died. He gave me directions, but I was trying not to die, and yeah, admittedly maybe I was stupid. I was very overwhelmed, and it's rare he raises his voice at me, so I panicked, which probably contributed to him dying.

I don't like to use my trauma as an excuse for things, but I feel it's important to note I grew up in a very abusive family situation in which being screamed at is almost daily. Its not his fault, i think he had a bad day, and he never yelled at me like that before, but when he yelled at me, I felt like I do when my family yells at me, and I never wanted to feel that way from a friend, especially not one i hold so close to my heart. But I know that would break his heart to hear that he did that to me. And at the time, I was really upset, so I didn't tell him. In hindsight, I should have. It's something I'm working on, but I know that's not an excuse.

Before this happened, we would play this game a few times a week. (I would also play a ton on my own because I love the game and play it solo to relax sometimes, but i haven't played much since this event.) Now we've only played a handful of times, and that's not accidental. He's been nothing but kind since, in game and outside of it. But recently every time I play or even see clips, I just think about him yelling at me and feel sick. It sounds dramatic, I know. But feeling the same fear and stress from my family in someone I actually trust, even if just for a moment, hurt me in a way I didn't expect.

I want to enjoy the game again and I want to play it with him again, but i don't want him to feel bad for hurting me. I feel like I should have stood my ground then and told him please not to speak to me that way when it happened, and I'm afraid letting this fester could affect our relationship. He's my ride or die, and I love him to death, but I don't know how to bring it up unless it happens again. I've forgiven worse people for worse things, so maybe i could ignore it and the hurt will go away with time, and he doesn't need to know he got to me. I really don't know what to do. Do I bring it up to him? If so, how do I do it without hurting him?

Apologies if this sounds pathetic, I am very tired and very sad.

Tldr: my friend yelled at me playing a video game, I don't wanna make him feel guilty by telling him it upset me, but I'm still hit with an upsetting amount of sadness when I think about that event or that video game.

translucent and yellow bug in my room - New Mexico, 2 inches ish long

hi hello i'm so so sorry i don't have a picture, i am incredibly terrified of bugs, and only have a physical description because i was frozen in fear before this thing crawled behind my bed. i am trying very very hard to get over my fear of bugs and i don't mean to hate on them at all. i only ask this because i want to make sure it's not a dangerous bug before i go to bed and i have intrusive thoughts pertaining to larger bugs. it was around two inches long and had like two different sections to its body (i'm sorry i don't know the bug terminology) and it looked translucent, but the second, smaller half of its body had like a yellow spot on it. again i'm so sorry this is not a very good description and i wish i had a photo, and i'm sorry if physical descriptions aren't allowed on this sub, but if anyone has any idea of what this might be and could maybe help me out i'd really appreciate it. thank you i love you random internet stranger.
