Moving because of inconsiderate top floor neighbours?

I have autism and really struggle with change. I have lived in my apartment for 4 years however these neighbours moved in above me two years ago. Prior to that I had the nicest most quiet family living above me they even had kids. These new ones are so noisy and allow their kids to stomp and cause thuds all day and night. I'm losing my mind. I can't sleep, I can't relax, I can't even cook or walk around. I had such a severe meltdown last year that I broke my tv because I was so overwhelmed.

I've complained to the landlord numerous times and they won't doing anything. I've asked the council for help and they've also dismissed it without even investigating. I've even called the police who said they can't do anything. I'm losing my mind. No one will help. They have even resorted to stomping even louder if I move around or do anything in my apartment. I have told the police they are retaliating and I told the council but again nobody cares. I really don't want to move because I'm so attached to my apartment. Will this be the only option?

What should I have done in this situation with nhs therapies?

I was currently taking nhs therpay for my ocd. I also have autism which the therapist I was seeing doesn't have any experience in but she has knowledge.

I explained to her I have always struggled with therapy and tend to stop when it gets too difficult. I told her I would communicate this time and let her know if it was too much for me. For nhs therapy they're done in blocks I had 6 sessions booked with her. I attended 3.

There was then a few weeks that my ocd really spiked and I couldn't leave my apartment so I asked her to move the remaining sessions for June. I then received a letter for new appointments in June but she then cancelled those appointments and I received a letter saying she was off work for the foreseeable future and I would be notified when she returned.

I then received a phone call from her at the beginning of July saying she was back and my sessions would start that Friday.

At the moment I'm dealing with extremely noisy neighbours who stomp around all day and night. It's really difficult for me to advocate for myself but I tried explaining to the landlord only to be told they told her they aren't doing anything and that they're asleep every night at 8 which is a complete lie. In the middle of trying to get all this sorted and look for a new place to live, which is extremely difficult for me as I do not like change. I rang the therapist and she kept trying to pressure me to keep my Friday appointment and finish the remaining sessions. I told her I really can't right now and I thought she would understand but she said think about it.

I rang the office on Thursday to cancel without speaking to her but she wasn't notified because she messaged me on Friday during my appointment time asking why I didn't attend. I messaged her explaining again and now I've heard nothing.

I don't know what to do with this added pressure. Did I do something wrong here?

Is it normal for some parents to prioritise their cousins and siblings over their own children?

My parents have always prioritised their cousins and siblings over my needs my entire life. Whenever I've tried to tell them it's wrong and that to me it would make sense for a person to put their created family first once they're married. They always answer with 'oh so we should just forget about the people who we were raised with then, they were here before you'.

It got to the point where they allowed my mothers cousin and her daughter to live with us for 4 years when I was 19 and it was an absolute nightmare for me. Being autistic the change was worse than a death for me. I cried and begged them to ask her to leave but they always ignored me saying they were just being good people and why couldn't I be nice like them. When she herself finally decided to moved out (they literally waited till she said she wanted to leave) they would drive her wherever she needed to go and stay at her house every weekend for 9 years after that because she didnt like being alone. Even now they see her all the time plan trips away etc. I told them to stop and they said how can we leave her all alone with a child. She was always laughing and smirking at me because she knew I hated the situation and couldn't do anything about it. They always took her side. It was so humiliating for me.

They refuse to listen. I'm in my 30s now and their constant emotional neglect has ruined my life. I can't be close to people, I can't get married. I don't trust anyone. Therpay hasn't improved these thoughts.

I just wanted to see if anyone had been in a similar situation and managed to overcome it

Am I being unreasonable to not want to take things further with him after this?

I had a first date with a guy and we went for some food. We had a really nice time and he messaged me later asking to meet again for some food.

I said that would be great but I really want to watch the micheal movie so could we watch that before getting food.

He messaged back saying that would be a definite a no I'm not a fan of micheal and I hate musicals.

I feel like this will be the start of dating someone who will only do what they want to do and never listen to my suggestions. Am I being unreasonable in telling him I don't want to see him again?
