For the sake of god stop blaming the staff when the issue is the same every damn time.

You have to understand how drafting coach/head coach works. They are the data gatherers and a guidance for players, they give them a line so they won't get lost in their drafting time BUT the players WILL always have the last word on a pick and this applies for every teams. There are literally tons of video showing how t1 comms during their draft from worlds/msi/lck po ect. And you clearly see caoches barely talk and when they do, it's to give that guidance and angle that players didn't see.

bad drafting arrive and it's a group mistake not an isolated one, there is not much coaching staff as competent as t1's and they are by far one of the most consistent one for winning 3 worlds, after every slumps and losses they came back better and it's not magic it's because they are fucking smart.

T1 changed so much coaches throughout it history and the drafting issue is still among the fan topics when they lose, maybe you guys should reconsider the only variables that stayed

I genuinely don't understand how you guys can blame so much on draft without talking once about how they executed their gameplans ?

since spring T1 has a very good understanding of meta and how tempo should he played but their execution is way off, if you rewatch the bo where keria lost on pyke, they had an insane understanding of tempo and they miss timed mid game which threw all the leads.

Everytime a t1 lost happened i never heard a macro or bad decision making comment but a bunch of "draft diff" and i genuinely don't understand, do you think a "bad draft" makes a game unwinnable ? What's important is how you manage to play your plan not because "oh i got countered so i lose the matchup" it does not work in pro, counter matchup are made to cancel the timings and making a whole gameplan unsync.

T1 does in fact having bad draft like their second rotation vs g2 for the blind olaf vs kled but 90% of time their draft has an insane amount of win cond at every timing, where other teams like DK for example drafting for mid/late stage 80% of time.

I understand that it's easier to pick up explicit mistake but something like missing a camp on one of your clear has the same weight as giving 2 kills, which is 10 time harder to understand.

Edit : my analysis are of course a mix of consensus of my circle (master to CL) some of my previous posts were pretty accurate, like keria should move and give up quest and that became the norm. Or how mid/jgl/supp should play together which they did on every winning bo.

How hle won early vs blg in the first 40 sec.

From draft, blg picked aurora then mf.
Why ? To get the lvl 1 for xun to play his matchup and sink early tempo from panth to open mid for a classic 4 man dive bot/top.

What happened ? Panth/sylas cheesed xun's botside -> xun/knight/viper/on moved to contest with that ward.

Kanavi stall an insane amount of time by staying in that camp (giving up his tepo) as sylas went instantly in lane MAKING aurora losing 3 minion xp.

At the same time botlane got baited in the bush making their lvl 1 in dead zone. (If you lose your matchup lvl 1 in bot it's over)

40 seconds in, 2 macro moves that made hle from a 50/50 to a 80/20.

- T1 is insane when it comes to setup for mid game, it's not out of luck that they had so much comeback, in fact the most of lck r2.

- Bo vs Hle : keria, you have to make keria on hyper mobility support, t1 won 1 game because his rakan literally won everything timing from the first to the last minute. As i posted again and again the main factor of why t1 is strong is because mid/supp /jungle synergy. You watch game1 and game 2, the moment they can play with each other, it's day and night, thats why they have to draft for keria.

- what went wrong vs hle : individualities. Faker got not 1 but 4 counter pick position and still got eaten alive vs zeka on laning phase, not getting the push for oner (keria got stuck on bot because hle knows they can't keep him moving before delight, you start to see the partern about jungle/mid/supp conditions of t1)

- tempo/meta : clearly it's not a meta for t1, they struggle on draft, on tempo early but clearly, the fundamentals are here, they are sharp, mid game monsters, disciplined positions.
