Does anyone else when they get like a fur coat or collar for their bjd do just start messing around with the placement seeing what you can create?

I keep doing it with the fur collar on the snow walker i bought for cloud, sometimes it’s droopy on both sides, sometimes it’s one shoulder, sometimes it’s a big fluffed up collar and I just love it and it changes clouds “attitude” like right now he’s giving pure sass. Yesterday he was giving lots of spoiled brat attitude and i loved it and he even had a new “expression”.

Honestly i can’t wait till he has more fancy clothes so i can play around and he can be as sassy as he wants.

Does anyone else struggle to dress uncle BJDS like the 70-75 ones?

Cuz OMG do I struggle to dress cloud like in the end he looks perfect and very pampered but the amount of struggle during it is a pain. I either fiddle about without his stand and I’m sweating and flipping him off cuz he’s so big and so heavy (I asked dollsphere they said he’s about 4-5kg) and I have noodle arms, slightly overweight and 5’3 also I’m only 18 and I have hypermobility.

Or i use his stand but because he’s so tall and i sleep in the attic i have minimal space where he fits but also my arms end up tired and sore, at least im not sweating and swearing at him but its still a pain.

But at the end it feels worth it as like i said he looks perfect in his clothes just like I wish for him to look like when i was 8 years old if i ever got my hands on a cloud strife.

Mind his little sitting area in the background, my cat is a psychopath and throws tantrums if he isn’t fed every 5 seconds and breaks my stuff and I want cloud to be comfy when I’m not there so he has a little sitting area.

I think i have found a doll for 182 but i need opinions on incase there’s a better one for David as i want him to be David but in “human” form .

It’s the aolingshi 70cm doki doll. Tho there’s a problem with the lips, they dip slightly too much in the middle but i think the eyes nose and chin even ear placement are perfect.

Lastly ill ask if dollsphere (they’re my favourite dealer after i found my cloud strife doll on their site) can have an artist paint him to look like David if i buy him also i have asked someone about the arm situation as 182 only has one arm and like i said i want him to BE David not just a hint of David he HAS TO BE DAVID.

And yes i know what fogland is Ive read it all upto now (waiting for chapter 46 🙏) i love that manhwa it is my favourite. i love David he’s so complexed and i feel bad for him just like i did for cloud as he has mental health issues and survivors guilt ( i have problem with picking characters that got experimented on or badly traumatised and then wanting to have them into a bjd and care for them) hence why i pamper him so much and i treat him like royalty and 182 will have the same treatment

Btw they’re not toys, they’re art work like a sculpture made by artists or small companies it’s obvious with the prices of BJDS (£100-1,000 for traditional and like £20 to £100 for blind box). they’re for older teens and adults. No way in hell should a child play with these they are fragile and are to be displayed like art work and to be taken care for

Btw i know what fogland is. i got myself up today on it yesterday and today and 182 is my favourite character as he’s so complex like i just love his character also kinda feel bad for the guy as he has a lot of trauma. i would love to pamper him like i do with cloud strife who is also very traumatised and i think schizophrenic and i he has survivors guilt so i also feel bad for him as well.

As my last cosplay doll plan I am thinking of making a bjd of 182 from fogland (I read the manhwa on webtoon and now I feel bad for 182 and i want to pamper him and treat him like a prince)

My budget for most of my boys is £500 for the complete doll (so no ringdoll recommendations or any other expensive ones) the doll has to be between £100-£200. so I can splurge of makeup hair sometimes clothes tho I might honestly make his cuz it’s an orange jumpsuit

Also I’m looking for dolls in the 70-75cm range. They can be second hand, ufdoll, aolingshi or like a random head and I’ll pair it with a ufdoll or aolingshi body.

Also I’m looking for something hyper realistic not anime style. Tho i want it to be as close to him as possible, I’ll use as my reference

Btw BJDS stand for ball jointed doll, they are an art doll that is strung together with elastic and are typically expensive (my budget is £500 in total for the for the complete doll)

Also I am looking for a doll in the 70cm range.

However before I buy them i would like to be educated on what the sturdiest is like on ufdolls as the only abs things I own are figures. Also i would like to know how easily can the stain so I’m prepared.

Lastly I don’t care that they are abs or pvc as to me plastic is plastic, a doll is a doll all I care about is if it’s legit, sturdy and brings my favourite characters to life.

Also I do not appreciate having people try and only make me buy resin ones as this is my collection not yours (I’ve had to deal with not only a racist trying to make me buy a 20 year old doll because gintama came out in 2003/2006 but also I have had to deal with someone who what felt like they were trying to persuade me to buy on resin ones which didn’t work cuz I ended up ignoring them)

I’m making a bjd (ball jointed doll) of Gintoki, as he is my favourite character and I found doll for him (it can always be changed) and it’s perfect for my budget.

however someone told me that it wouldn’t work for gin because it has “kpop” features and gin has European features (if I’m being honest i thought gin was Japanese). now I’m being told to only stick to bjds that are from 2006 which i swear is difficult and expensive to find because they get discontinued, cuz they’re very old and my budget is £500 max and the doll I found was £118 (from ufdoll so it’s legit).

Also it’s only one person that said it and it was in a bjd facebook group

So; I’m planning on making Gintoki and Hijikata BJDS to my cosplay doll collection . (i literally just need the heads all sorted bodies can be bought another time) which includes cloud, Zack, Reno, Grimmjow, Gintoki, Hijikata and 182(fogland).

Btw Zack, Reno and Grimmjow all have their heads sorted out it’s just the other three need heads. then I can start to plan when to buy them and how much needs saving up.

Lastly my expectations for how accurate they need to be is based off the moonlit wonder fullset rbcg cloud with aolingshi 2.0 70cm body, which I already have also my budget is £500 for each doll EXCEPT Zack and Reno as they are grail dolls.
