I don't like Nicola's family.
Too many new characters at once, and not enough variation in age. Writers trying to hard to make them seem zany, tough and chaotic.
Also, I don't like Nicole and her bully girl act.

I was only a kid back then so maybe I didn't notice, but things seem way worse now. Kids are more violent, adults are more aggressive.
But I also see lots of normal people around here, like people who dress well and have jobs. I grew up in a council estate and it seemed back then everyone was in tracksuits and on welfare (obviously that's not accurate) but it just seems more mixed now. There's still an insane amount of teenage parents.
I hope he recovers.
I feel like he's been around forever.
I am still looking to keep Turas Nua from reporting me but I have no real hope. Obviously, I'd like more money, but I'm starting to accept 254 a week is all I'll ever have. It's impossible and literally nobody gets in contract, no matter what advice I follow or how many CVs I send. I had a job for 3 years but only got it because a relative knew the manager. Being completely on my own searching now is demoralizing because unless you know somebody or find a way to woo the managers, you will not be hired, not even for entry level positions. I know people look down on nepobabies, but if I had connections to ensure an easy life, I would capitalize on it no doubt.
Reminds me of the vicious mean girls from my school days. The type who think they can get away with everything with sweet talk and faux niceness.
My sister's fiance hunts. I find it absolutely appalling that she could be with such a horrific, cruel man. Apparently, none of that matters to her because he's nice to her and is "fun and attractive". My sister, who is almost 30, was always rough and dismissive towards our pets growing up, but she was never outright cruel. I genuinely couldn't ever imagine her supporting somebody who kills for entertainment, but she defends him and tells me to mind my own business, and calls me a nosey, bitter prick for icing out her fiance.
I don't want to be his friend. I don't want him invited to family dinners. He has no shame about it at all and posts on facebook all the time about all his hunting trips and posts things like "lol" and "great day out" next to pics of disemboweled foxes. Ever since she got with him, she's been hare coursing.
For me this is usually about 1 or 2 months of obsession, and it always progresses and ends the same way. Something will hook me, like maybe I like the actor in it or a certain line of dialogue will hit me as relatable, and suddenly it's like I can't think of anything else. Then I go online and read reviews and opinions because I like to see what other people think of the show, and I watch every episode and sometimes even write fanfiction. Fanfiction usually is the peak because at that point, there's no more episodes left to watch and the characters are living in my head, so I have all these scenarios for them anyway, and I enjoy writing it. However, once I lose interest in writing fanfiction, then I know the fixation is ending because when I'm really into it, everything just flows and I don't even have to think hard about it, but when I don't care that much anymore it's like a chore.
I've done this so many times with countless shows, mostly soap operas and trashy dramas like Hallmark quality. Right now, it's the show "Nashville" It's like 10 years old but I didn't watch it when it came out first, so I have multiple seasons to watch and the soundtrack is amazing. Weirdly, it makes me feel really depressed watching it because I know it's not real and caring this much about fictional characters is stupid, but I can't help it.
I've only been unemployed for a few months but got a letter telling to join them within 2 weeks of signing on. Every since it's been useless, pointless appointments every 2 weeks. For some reason, they keep pawning me off on a new advisor every time I come in and the wait is ridiculous every time I go in. It pisses me off how I need to be on time but they can make me wait for almost an hour each time, even when it's not busy. Please don't make snarky comments saying I'm unemployed so have all the time in the world to wait, I'm always on time, its them who are disrespecting me.
For the last two appointments, I've been pawned off temporarily to such a dour advisor who does nothing but speak to me in an accusatory, patronizing tone, is no help at all, and spends most of the appointment clicking around silently on her computer then telling me to go to the printer to collect my next appointment letter. That's it. I've had about 5 or 6 appointments since signing up, and they're still telling me to update my CV even though I've already done that and talking about sending me on pointless courses about CV prep and job searching skills. Last week, she literally told me to get chatgpt to write my CV and to ask it for advise, this was in response to me asking her a question.
Like, I understand the government want people to work, but why do they keep funding Turas Nua when they don't find work for anyone? Can't the government create a better system?
The receptionist is nice. That's the only good thing I can say about the place.
I don't know why they are acting so shocked he's been founded seriously hurt. They all agreed to beat him up.
I can't stand Joel, but I don't like how everyone conspired to gang up and ambush him. It reminds of those psycho news stories you hear about a group of school-aged people deciding to kill their enemy just because everyone decides the enemy deserves it.
That would have been a good twist.
Avani reacted by saying "You're getting a flat?" Is that what they were saying? What did it mean?
I’ve been stressing for weeks about releasing a song that started out as an AI prompt on Suno. I was terrified of being labeled "lazy," getting flagged by platforms, or being called a fraud.
So, I did what a lot of independent artists on a budget do: I used the AI as a digital sketchbook. Then, I spent my own hard-earned money to hire a human producer to completely remake the instrumental from scratch, hired a singer, got in the booth myself to re-record the vocals section-by-section, added a completely custom intro, and got a signed contract proving I own 100% of the master.
But I was still worried about "purists" calling it a shortcut. Then it hit me: Major label artists do this exact same thing every single day, but with human bodies instead of software.
Think about how the top charts actually work. A major pop star walks into a writer's room where a team of 10 producers, top-liners, and interns have already built a flawless track. The artist sits there, influences the "vibe," maybe changes one word or a single cadence to fit their style, sings it, and walks out with 100% of the public credit and a massive split sheet.
How is using an AI tool to brainstorm a melody any different than a multi-millionaire artist using a room full of underpaid ghostwriters to hand them a vibe?
If you are a solo indie artist with a limited budget, you are playing the role of executive producer, funding the project, managing the logistics, and putting your actual voice on the track. If you take an idea, make it your own, and pay human creators to build a brand new audio file from scratch, you did the work.
Don't let people who have never finished a song make you feel guilty for using modern tools to spark an idea. Use the tech, hire your team, record your vocals, and release your music.
I wouldn't mind admitting it to Distrokid, but I don't want all the listeners thinking I put zero effort into the song because I wrote the lyrics myself and remade it with a real producer, though used the same melody.
Don't like him at all and don't believe he's changed.
TL;DR My girlfriend of 2 years treats me badly now that I have no job and I don't know whether to stay with her or not.
We've been together for 2 years now, and I've recently become unemployed 5 months ago because I was getting bullied at work and quit. She was so angry when she found out I couldn't get unemployment benefits for two months (this is a rule in my country if you quit your job). However, she was acting like she was financially supporting me even though she wasn't. I have a small sum of savings and chose to live off those savings while waiting to get welfare or find a new job. I never once asked her to pay my rent or buy me food. Everything is the same 50/50 as when I had a job.
However, I can't find a new job. Not even cleaning or retail jobs, even though I have experience. People act like it's so easy to get a kitchen porter or cleaning job, like all you need is a pulse and they'll hire you, but it's not that easy. I've had 3 interviewers (that's all the responses I got after sending countless applications) One interview was for a janitorial position at ALDI, didn't get called back after the first group interview. The next was for a kitchen porter role in a new restaurant that was mass hiring, and they rejected me after a week with a message saying they found a better fit (I have plenty of experience and hygiene certs, and I can see the people they hired are way younger than me and probably don't have my experience, so why not hire me?) And the third interview was for pub kitchen porter. Ghosted, then rejected after 2 weeks.
I genuinely am searching for work and am simply having no luck. Also, me and my girlfriend are not glamorous, career driven people. I don't want to be a doctor or influencer, I just want to earn a livable wage to support myself. We know we're not sexy or impressive, and won't amount to much, but still, it's not nice being put down all the time. Ever since I quit my job, she's been calling me a loser, lazy, telling me to walk the dog more even though he's her dog and she doesn't trust me to keep him on the leash. She acts like I'm always at home lazing around, but I'm not. I spend most of the day moping around the city centre or at the park.
Bare in mind, my girlfriend doesn't have a job at all, and never has worked in her life. She's on welfare and her mother gives her pocket money. She did go to college but haven't gone on any job interviews because she can't get any call backs, but I don't believe she even tries to get one because she's always saying she'll be able to find a job easier if she loses weight and fixes her teeth. A toy store called her before christmas for seasonal work packing shelves, and she had a panic attack before leaving for the interview and didn't bother going.
Sunshine, darling, my girl, etc......and all those names she was calling her at the beside in hospital. Like, I get she's an upset mother, but putting a new pet name at the end of each sentence is a bit much.
Sick of seeing her sour face scowling at everyone. It's her own fault for scaring Jordan so bad he ran into the street. Yes, I know mothers are allowed to have fun at weddings, but she was extremely nasty the way she screamed at him. And I also don't like how she treats Jordan's grandmother. No problem taking money, but sour when it's time for a visit.
