I've read the Agatha Christie books a few times over so I've been reading books of her near contemporaries. Moyes is pretty good so far plotwise but I am loving the humour even more. I don't recall anything quite this funny - it's almost Wodehousian (who I have unfortunately also finished reading a few times over as well)
I have decided I quite like funny detective stories so I'd love to hear of any other golden age mystery authors/books who/which could make you laugh like that.
PS It is also nice reading if you like crosswords - Inspector Tibbet loves them and there are many funny passages related to crossword clues
