I found this clip on a local Facebook page and I’m genuinely stumped. Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

It happens very quickly—you can see a flash of light followed by a distinct object or streak moving across the frame. I’m trying to figure out if this could be some kind of craft, or if there is a more mundane explanation like a meteor or light reflection.
What does everyone here think? Could this be something anomalous?

Is this a good start? Day 2 and seeing activity!

I’m finally trying my hand at a sourdough starter again after a failed attempt last December. I think the cold weather might have been my downfall last time, so I’m feeling much more hopeful now that it’s summer and my house is nice and warm!

I’m on Day 2 using King Arthur’s bread flour, and it has already nearly doubled as you can see from the rubber band in the photos! I’ve been feeding it 1 tablespoon of flour and 1 tablespoon of lukewarm water.

Included are two photos of the progress

Is the warmth of the summer the main reason it’s taking off so much faster this time? And could the water temperature be playing a big role here? Would love to know if this is a good sign or if I should look out for anything else in these early stages!

UPDATE: Inherited Model 36 is back from Smith & Wesson! (Best $73 I've ever spent)

Hey everyone,
I wanted to post a quick follow-up to my post from a few months ago about my grandfather's vintage Smith & Wesson Model 36. To recap, the cylinder was binding up completely after just a few rounds and the action was getting totally stuck. Since it's a family heirloom, I didn't want to take any chances with a local smith, so I ended up sending it straight back to Smith & Wesson to have it mechanically fixed and professionally cleaned up. I finally got it back yesterday, and I couldn't be happier! They only charged me $73 for the whole process, and honestly, it was worth every single penny. I just took it out, and it cycles absolutely perfectly now—the action is smooth as butter, and the binding issue is completely gone. Mostly, I just wanted to show off my revolver now that it's back in pristine, safe shooting condition. It feels amazing to have my grandfather's piece working exactly the way it was meant to. Thanks again to everyone who gave advice on my original post! If anyone is on the fence about sending a vintage J-frame back to the mothership for a refresh, I highly recommend it.

Rate my Glock 43X build. Just threw on a Radian Ramjet and a direct-mounted RFX11. What should I add next?

Hey everyone, wanted to share where my Glock 43X is currently at and get some thoughts/suggestions on what to do next with it.
Here is the current setup:
Radian Ramjet & Afterburner combo
Radian Magwell
Viridian RFX11 green dot
Funny story on the optic—I actually picked up a Springfield Ronin package recently that came with the RFX11. I realized it shares the correct footprint, so I slapped it right onto the 43X. To my surprise, it sits perfectly flush with absolutely no plate needed—just a clean, direct mount straight to the slide.
The gun feels incredibly flat-shooting with the Ramjet and the magwell really locks in my grip, but I feel like it's not quite "done" yet.
What do you guys think of the build so far? Anything else I should look into adding to it? Open to suggestions on lights, triggers, or anything else you think would round it out. Let me know!

Blatant racism and insane RSO power-trip at Range USA (Hodgkins, IL)

Hey everyone, just need to vent and honestly get some advice on how to handle this with corporate, because I’m absolutely disgusted.
My family and I are paid monthly members at the Range USA on 63rd in Hodgkins. My brother and uncle got into shooting a few months ago. They’re new, still learning, and trying to get used to their handguns. On a few rare occasions, they’ve accidentally shot the plastic clip that holds the paper target. Total accident, obviously.
There is an RSO there named Rich who has been on a massive power trip. Today, I brought my brother, my uncle, and a coworker. My brother accidentally hit the target clip twice while shooting. Rich completely lost his mind.
He didn’t just give a standard safety warning—he screamed at us in front of the whole range, ordered us to go "huddle up in the corner," and stood over us demanding we recite the 4 safety rules. He then gave us a 20-minute angry, scolding lecture, literally yelling at us that we "don't belong at this range" and shouldn't be there. He then claimed we caused $120 in damages over two-cent plastic clips.
By throwing this 20-minute temper tantrum, he ate up a massive chunk of our paid lane time that we never got back.
But here’s the real kicker: Rich is blatantly pulling this crap because we are Mexican. Every single time we walk in, he completely ignores us. No hello, no goodbye, just dirty looks. But the second a white shooter walks in? He’s all smiles, asking them how their day is, and being incredibly friendly. He treats us like we’re a threat or a nuisance just because of our skin color, and today he used a minor beginner mistake as an excuse to completely humiliate us in public.
We left feeling incredibly belittled and disrespected. We pay our hard-earned money for memberships just to be racially profiled and harassed by a power-tripping RSO.
I’m sending a formal complaint to corporate demanding compensation for the stolen time and the harassment, but has anyone else dealt with this guy Rich at the Hodgkins location? How responsive is Range USA corporate to toxic, racist RSOs? I’m ready to cancel my membership out of principle.

Finally got the Radian Ramjet out to the range… safe to say the hype is real (plus a little guest star)

What’s up guys,
So I finally pulled the trigger and bought the Radian Ramjet last Sunday, and I just got back from testing it out today. I’ve been staring at it all week waiting to hit the range, and man… I absolutely love it.
The hype is 100% real. The Ramjet honestly reduces the recoil by a massive amount and the gun just runs so much smoother now. It tracks incredibly flat and just stays right on target. If any of you have been sitting on the fence or wondering if it's worth the price tag for your 43X, this is your sign. You definitely need to get one!
Also, please excuse the Springfield Ronin making a guest appearance in the photo lol. Had to bring it along and figured it deserved a little bit of the spotlight too!
Let me know if you guys have any questions about how it shoots!!!

Went in for a Radian Ramjet for the 43X… walked out with a Springfield Ronin bundle too.

Been eyeing the Radian Ramjet + Afterburner combo for my Glock 43x for what feels like forever now. Every time I looked at it, I kept debating if the price tag was worth it for a subcompact, or if I should just stick to buying bulk 9mm. Well, I finally stopped overthinking it and pulled the trigger on the compensator.
But things took a turn at the counter.
Honestly, I’ve had my eye on a Springfield Garrison for a minute now, but every time I check, it’s completely out of stock. While the guy was in the back grabbing the Ramjet, I asked him about it. He confirmed they were dry on the Garrison, but then he pulled out this Springfield Ronin AOS Gear Pac bundle.
I wasn't even planning on looking at a Ronin, but it's a hell of a setup—the 5" full-size in .45 ACP, two-tone finish, optics-ready slide, and the bundle comes with a Viridian RFX-11 green dot, a range bag, and four extra magazines right out of the box. The slide felt incredibly smooth, the trigger break was crisp, and having a full optics-ready package ready to go just made sense since I couldn't get the Garrison anyway.
The salesman did a damn good job laying it out, and before I knew it, I was filling out the paperwork for both. Ended up being a way more expensive trip than I planned, but I have zero regrets.
Taking both to the range this weekend to get some serious trigger time. For those of you running the Ramjet on a 43X:
Did you notice a strict preference for 115gr vs 124gr ammo to keep it cycling reliably?
Are you still running the OEM recoil spring assembly, or did you have to swap it out?
And for the Ronin owners—any specific break-in tips or lube preferences for the first couple hundred rounds? Stay safe out there.

Am I crazy or is Legends Z-A actually amazing?

So I finally picked up Legends Z-A on the Switch 2, and honestly, I'm kind of blowing through it because it’s so fun. But before buying, I kept seeing so many terrible reviews online and people completely trashing it, which almost made me pass on it entirely.
Personally? I absolutely love it. It’s a blast. It feels like there’s always something new to do, and to me, this is what truly makes a Pokemon game feel like a Pokemon game.
I’m genuinely confused by the hate. For those who aren't liking it, what is the main issue people are having with it? What are the actual complaints? Because from where I'm sitting, it's great.

Package dropped off on May 15th, still stuck on "USPS in possession of item" in Chicago – anyone else seeing major delays?

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing a total standstill with tracking out of the Chicago area right now. I dropped off a package at the post office back on Friday, May 15th, right around 1:00 PM. It got the initial acceptance scan, so the tracking updated to "USPS in possession of item," but it hasn't moved a single inch or updated since then.
Usually, my packages clear the local hub and the main distribution center within a day or two max, but it’s been 5 days now with zero updates. I know things can get backed up, but it's stressful when it's just sitting there on the very first step.
Is anyone else dealing with weird regional delays or missing departure scans out of Chicago this week? Should I give it a few more days before opening a missing mail search, or go check in with the clerk at my local office?
Appreciate any insight!

Anyone else get a ton of sparks shooting Magtech 9mm? / Target ammo recommendations?

Hey everyone, I have a quick question for the group. What brand of ammo does everyone usually run for target practice? I recently picked up some Magtech 9mm, and the first thing I noticed at the range was that sparks kept flying out of the gun when shooting. It’s pretty noticeable, and I wanted to check if this is normal for this specific brand, or if it's just something with the powder they use? For context, the gun is clean and running fine otherwise, no malfunctions or anything. Just a lot of extra fireworks at the muzzle. Is this a known thing with Magtech, or should I switch over to something else for the range? Let me know what you guys usually use. Thanks!

Tape?

I shot my Glock 43x for the first time at the range and I must say I absolutely love it!! My first gun was a hellcat pro years ago but it had too much recoil. The Glock 43x is night and day against its competitors!! But anyways what is the best tape to make my grip more grippy, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some technical insight on my 2012 Mercedes-Benz S550 (M278 engine) with 85,000 miles. I purchased the car recently and have been staying on top of the maintenance.
Back in December, I did a full tune-up:
New OEM Spark Plugs
New Coil Packs
Oil Change & Filters
The car has been running perfectly until today when the Check Engine Light came on. I scanned it and got code P0301 (Cylinder 1 Misfire).
Since I’ve already replaced the coils and plugs with OEM parts just a few months ago, I’m trying to figure out the next logical step.
• Is this likely a fuel injector issue or something deeper like a harness or compression problem?
• For those who work on the M278, are there common "gotchas" for Cylinder 1 specifically?
• I’m fairly handy and do my own oil and basic repairs—is an injector replacement on this car something I can tackle in my driveway, or does it require specialized MB tools?
I’ve heard these cars go through coil packs quickly, but since mine are almost brand new, I'm hesitant to just swap them again without a better plan.
Any advice on how to troubleshoot this effectively before I let a shop start tearing things down?
Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some advice on a weird delivery situation in Chicago.
I recently purchased a high-value lot of trading cards ($400). Due to a typo on my part, the package was addressed to 5533 S Mayfield Ave. The problem is, this house does not exist. On this block of Mayfield, the numbers jump from 5531 directly to 5535.
Despite the address being invalid, the tracking was updated to "Delivered, Front Porch" yesterday. Since there is no house at 5533, the carrier obviously couldn't have left it there. I’ve already checked with the immediate neighbors at 5531 and 5535, but they claim they don't have it.
What I've done so far:
• I filed a formal domestic claim online and uploaded the Square invoice as proof of value.
• I also uploaded Google Maps screenshots showing the gap in house numbers to prove the address is non-existent.
• The seller is a good guy I’ve worked with before, so I’m trying to resolve this through USPS rather than a chargeback since the address typo was my fault.
My questions for the experts here:

  1. Since the address doesn't exist, shouldn't the carrier have marked this as "Undeliverable as Addressed" (UAA) instead of forced-delivering it?
  2. I’m planning to go to the Clearing Station post office on Monday. What specific reports or "GPS geotags" should I ask the supervisor for to see where the scanner was actually triggered?
  3. If the GPS shows it was left at a physical house nearby, does that count as carrier negligence for my insurance claim?
Any insight from carriers or people who have dealt with "ghost address" deliveries would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!
