Unite 7 seconds detangler. Worth it?

I live in Europe. I have 23 inch thick hair. Or perhaps more accurately, fine hair but a lot of it. For the past two months or so, my hair is constantly tangled. I struggle with the point of having long hair if the only way to sustain it is keeping it in braids. The moment it's down for more than ten minutes, it knots and clumps.

I have seen unite 7 seconds detangler online but it's nearly 40 euro to buy here.

I'm definitely willing to pay this price but only if I know it will at least help a bit.

Has anyone used it and found it beneficial?

Give me your recommendations for the most compelling one case podcast

I've heard all the big ones BUT on the off chance I haven't, list every single one you can think of.

Ideally solved but I'll take unsolved too.

Quit lit - looking for recommendations

I'm trying to reduce, not quit entirely so ideally I'd like a book that takes that approach. I hated that one about women who quit drinking. I found it really patronising. Id like it to be backed by science and have techniques for reducing cravings.

Also something that talks about dopamine would be great.

Any good recommendations?

Followed me home. Had to run away while she was distracted!

I know where she lives and I'll keep an eye out to make sure she gets back inside. She literally ran to me.

Update; my own cat looked out the window with intensity. The same kitten had appeared over my back wall. I briefly let her in and checked if her owners are home but they aren't. I let her go. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

[Discussion] What actually helped you become a morning person?

I have delayed sleep onset. Meaning I can't sleep until after 2 am but usually closer to 5. Sleep therapy in the past has shown me the best way to fix this is to actually get up at the same time every day. Ideally the time should be the earliest that you routinely HAVE to be up at, i.e if I have to get up at 8 am to commute to work twice a week, my anchor time should be 8am.

The problem is, I'm not a morning person. The only way I can get up at 8 am is if I either have to go to work or I have another important commitment. Sadly, if I book a gym class or other such thing for early, I'll simply cancel it and sleep in.

I'm eager to reclaim all this missed time and get my shit together.

Shocked at how scary We Used to Live Here is

Please no spoilers because I'm not finished.

I'm super sceptical about buzzy books. Particularly horror or Reddit books.

But I was in a slump so I decided to try it. While it frustrated me in the beginning (and still does I guess), it is the first book that has genuinely scared me in many years. I only read at night.

Last night, my husband was scrolling while I read to myself beside him. Same as every night. Last night, his experience was me saying "NO!" and then tossing my kindle onto the couch and wrapping my arms around myself. "I don't like that at all actually".

I accept it might not be everyone's cup of tea and it might even be boring to some people. But it has hit my particular fear nerve very well.

I definitely intend to finish it but I might be moving to day time reading...

Hex and Sarafina (or books about witches)

I'm currently reading Sarafina (no spoilers please). I'm really enjoying it. I've also read Hex.

Things I'm enjoying about Sarafina

Desperate survival needs

Loyalty

A canny and charming woman

Some historical aspects

Religious "power"

Things I liked about Hex

Small town

Ancient folklore

Things I didn't like about Hex

Part of a series with one investigator

Slightly too modern.

Not super historical

Id love more recommendations that fit the above but frankly I'll take all your witch recommendations

Long Dark sleep content?

I have horrible insomnia. Listening to things really helps me. When I think of TLD comfort, I think of

The sound of a stove fire burning

The wind blowing through Molly's home in Pleasant Valley

Crunching of snow under boots

The sound of peaches bubbling on the stove.

Are there any good (free) sleep soundscapes from the long dark?

Very painful boil on labia. Growing quickly

I noticed it on Tuesday. It has tripled in size since then. I cannot get over the pain. I have finally caved and got an appointment with a women's clinic today but I am absolutely terrified. I feel sick with worry about how painful it will be and I'm really spiralling.

I assume it's a clogged follicle that got infected but I guess it could be something else.

Has anyone had experience of getting this drained? Is it very painful?

Extremely painful lump! Need reassurance

On Tuesday, I noticed a sore lump in my pubic area. It's on the left side, quite low down and on the labia majora. It was sore when I wiped. I assumed it was a pimple.

Yesterday the pain was much worse. It is now painful to sit or walk. Overnight, the swelling around the area is much worse but the bump itself remains the same size. About pea sized.

I spent the whole night reading about Bartholin cysts. I don't think that's it because this is very low down and not on the inner labia.

For various reasons, I would really like to avoid the doctor. Obviously, I'll go if I get very worried though.

I'm making this post because I desperately need reassurance. Is it likely to be an infected hair follicle? Have you ever had this before??!

Context; I'm 36, never had it before. I don't believe it's sex related.

Thank you to anyone who can help me feel ok!

I've never had this before. I have no idea if this is normal or not

Got diagnosed with rosacea, eczema and perioral dermatitis on may 5th. Derm told me to use steroid cream for no more than three days to get rid of the eczema and then immediately stop because it'll make the perioral dermatitis worse lol (scream), then start the Soolantra.

I did that. Eczema largely vanished so I started soolantra on May 13th. It was grand for a while but now....

Is this the demadox dying? Is it my skin barrier? Do I stop using it? Do I keep using it?

Has anyone in Ireland used the book "Make the bread, buy the butter?"

I'm a good baker and I've been developing my skills extensively this year. I've heard about the above title book but mostly used by Americans.

Has anyone in Ireland had success using the book to make real savings? I'm wondering if the savings are worth it if I buy the cheapest versions of everything from say Lidl or Aldi.

I currently buy expensive flours but could reduce that to the cheap Aldi ones.

I'm a big fan of baking according to the seasons and actually marking it with in season foods. But I'm a much bigger fan of doing this in Autumn and winter. So I finally embraced a spring vibe! (Original content, unfiltered, no AI)
