Any other men in their 20s?

29 year old male just diagnosed with RRMS. Fully able bodied currently with full recovery from initial spinal lesion and had brain lesion with no symptoms.

Any other men in their 20s out there who are still active and working? How are things going? Any advice beyond the usual? I know everyone is different but can I continue as normal? I’m in process of getting on DMT. I’m trying to become more physically active to build strength and just take more risks. It just sucks because I’m in the prime of my career. I try not to look at stats with men and spinal lesions etc

Any mental health IOP (intensive outpatient program) recommendations in the Charlotte area?

Weird request but does anyone in the Charlotte area know of any or have done any IOP (intensive outpatient program) for mental health? For anxiety and OCD in particular.

“Confirm your identity” directs me to call a number but the customer service couldn’t help me. wtf is going on?

Tried logging into my Chase account and sent to a page that asked me to call a number to confirm my identity. This isn’t the usual text auth page but hit has me a call a number so I did and the person couldn’t help me and told me to try again tomorrow. I did and it’s still like that today. I’ve never had this happen in my 3+ years with Chase credit card. wtf?

Any good volunteering things you do in the Charlotte area?

Guy in his late 20s in Charlotte who moved here for work. Pretty introverted but trying to force myself into some more socializing that does not just involve going to bars. Anyone do any regular volunteering in the area they recommend?

Anyone had their neutropenia resolved by fixing copper deficiency

long story short. 29 year old male who has had neutropenia since 2020. my WBC range just today was 2.65 with 1.5 neutrophils absolute. my WBC typically ranges between 2.5 and 3.5 with the occasional 4. neutrophils range borderline to low normal.

I saw hematologist in 2021 who did all the tests and did a bone marrow biopsy which just showed "mildly hypocellular for age" so he sent me on my way because we ruled all the bad stuff out.

I don't really get sick but I might be starting immunosuppressant medication soon and worried it'll just destroy my fragile CBC levels. Ive learned I have a copper deficiency (low serum copper, low ceurloplasumin, normal 24 hour copper). I am now connecting the dots and realizing that may be the cause? Has anyone had their CBC numbers go back to normal upon fixing defieciency?

Has anyone’s low copper caused low WBC?

I have both low copper and low ceruloplasmin. Normal liver test, brain MRI, vision and 24 hour urine so unlikely Wilson’s.

I also have low WBC and borderline neutrophils. I’ve read low copper can cause this. Does anyone else have these and did fixing your copper raise your levels? I might have to do MS DMT and worried my immune system can’t handle it.

Newly diagnosed RRMS. Has anyone gotten on a strong DMT with pre-existing low WBCs?

newly diagnosed with RRMS. given some medication options and meeting with doc in a few weeks to proceed with treatment. for the last decade or so I've had consistently out of range/low WBC (2.8-4.0) on my CBCs. never really had a serious infection and I saw a hematologist who mostly said it was alright but going on a strong DMT while already having low numbers makes me scared. anyone who's gone on kesimpta or ocrevus had already low white blood cell numbers and their immune system fine?

Getting biopsy next week but I’m scared

In Dec i noticed patch of my roof of mouth that felt and looked different. I went to my dentist who was not concerned and didn’t go any further. I was still concerned so I had ENT look at it and he was not concerned and trusted dentists view. I saw a new dentist today as I had switched and when he was doing this exam he kept feeling that area and tried wiping it off but couldn’t. He was concerned and referred me for biopsy at oral surgeon. I wasn’t expecting that and now I’m mad that I found this 6 months ago and could’ve prevented something bad if I had it biopsied then. What’s the chance my dentist is just being cautious? I know I just have to wait but I’m anxious as hell now.

Profile: 29 year old male. Never smoked or used any tobacco product. Vaccinated against HPV. Moderate drinker. I do have GERD. No family history of oral cancer.

29 year old Male. Was my QTc reported correctly on these ECGs? Want to start SSRI but a little worried about these past readings.

  1. I want to begin taking an SSRI for my anxiety/OCD but I know one of the contradictions with SSRIs can be QT prolongation. I am a 29 year old male who mostly gets normal readings (350-400) but I have these two below EGCs that bring me some concern. the first one says 391 QTC but the Dr noted it was 491 (?) & the second had a reported QTC of 460 which is prolonged right? I know these are computer reportings so just want to check. (egcs are below)

  2. if I did proceed with SSRI, the cardiologist I saw said Lexapro has the least impact on QT if I am concerned but simple google shows Prozac or Zoloft as the safest options. which is it?

Super tiny red dot back of mouth. Idk how long. Is this normal?

29 year old male. No history of tobacco use. Last saw my dentist in March and saw an ENT in Feb for my GERD/allergies where did he exam. Otherwise healthy.

Idk how long this has been here maybe it’s always been and didn’t notice but is the super tiny red dot (circled in black) in the back of my mouth look normal? Doesn’t hurt or anything I just don’t see any other similar red dots.

Getting consistently good readings at home and it feels too good to be true

29 year old male with a healthy weight. No family history of heart issues.

I’ve long struggled with doctor office high BP. No doctor has seemed concerned but I’ve been advised to take at home. I’ve since bought two different omron machines and I’ve only gotten good readings 108-120/60-79 irrespective of time of day. At home I always make sure my arm is at heart level, feet on ground and taken 5 minutes after sitting down. At doctors it’s usually after just drove then walked and sat down and they almost never have my arm at heart level. But I’ve read high at Doctor office can still be bad? Yet no doctor seems concerned there. Any thoughts?
