People actually get paid just because someone visits a site? 🤔

A few days ago, if someone told me people were making money just by growing an Instagram page and getting others to click a link in their posts, I probably would’ve smirked lol.

It sounds kind of weird, right? Or is it just my technically challenged brain? Like… how does a simple click even matter that much

That’s what’s been stuck in my head lately.

The more I look into it, the more I realize the internet is full of these small systems where attention itself has value. Not even going viral—just someone being curious enough to tap a link. And that tiny action is what some people build around.

I’m still super new to this 😅 I just made my first account, and I keep wondering: is this actually real, or am I missing something?

It’s wild to think you can “earn” from something as simple as a page visit. Or is it more complicated than it looks?

The internet feels like it has all these hidden corners where things don’t make sense at first, until you stumble into them.

Has anyone else found a side hustle that sounded ridiculous at first… but turned out to be legit? 😅

I'll def go back to this post to give you guys an update on how I'm doing now.

I stopped thinking UGC was just about making pretty videos...

Hi ya'll! 🤍

As someone who's just starting to explore the UGC side of the digital world, here are a few things I've been realizing lately.

At first, I honestly thought brands only cared if your videos looked super aesthetic or if you had the latest gadget. 😅 But after spending way too much time lurking in UGC communities and seeing what actually gets creators booked, I started noticing a pattern.

The creators landing consistent projects aren't always the ones with the fanciest edits. They're the ones who make it easy for brands to picture themselves working together.

Things like:

  • A portfolio that's easy to scroll through
  • Hooks that grab attention in the first 3 seconds
  • Different types of content instead of repeating the same style
  • A simple rate card that doesn't make clients guess
  • Actually reaching out instead of waiting to be "discovered"

I'm still pretty new to UGC, so I'm definitely figuring things out as I go. But one mindset shift that's been helping me is treating my portfolio like a highlight reel instead of a storage box. Every sample should answer the question, "Can I actually see this creator making content for my brand?"

Another thing I've realized is that outreach seems like a much bigger part of the game than I expected. Even the best portfolio won't do much if no one's actually seeing it.

Right now, I'm slowly putting together my portfolio, rate card, and an outreach tracker, but I'm honestly not sure if I'm spending my time on the right things yet. 😭

For those of you who've already landed UGC deals, what made the biggest difference for you?

Was it your portfolio, cold outreach, pricing, networking, or maybe something I haven't even thought about yet?

Would love to hear your experiences. Thank you so much!! 🫶

Things That Are Worth Your Money (MTLE Reviewee Edition)

Hello po, fellow reviewees and mga RMTs! 🤍

Just wanted to ask, ano yung mga nabili niyo (Shopee man, NBS, or kahit saan) na sobrang nakatulong sa convenience while reviewing for the MTLE? It can be anything—from paper clips, highlighters, desk organizers, supplements, or kahit anong "small purchase, big help" na item. Hehe.

Thank you so much po! Good luck din sa lahat ng magte-take! 🍀🤍

How to move forward when your parents don't accept your sexuality?

Hi! I just wanted to ask for advice, especially from those who have gone through something similar.

Recently, my parents figured out that I'm not straight. They didn't ask me how I felt or try to understand me. The first thing they told me was that I am supposedly *"on the wrong path"*.

It's painful to think that they are prouder and more supportive of a straight person who didn't finish school but is working, rather than me who graduated with Latin honors and is among the top 10 in my batch just because I’m not straight.

To be honest, I accept that they might not accept me. It’s just sad to think that your own parents have that kind of perspective.

The problem now is I have a big goal that I want to focus on, but their words keep coming back to my mind. It’s so distracting, and I feel like it’s affecting my focus.

For those who have experienced something similar, how did you move forward? How did you learn not to carry the weight of their words while still achieving your goals?

Thank you in advance. 🤍

How to move forward when your parents don't accept your sexuality?

Hi! Gusto ko lang sana humingi ng advice, especially from those who have gone through something similar.

They didn't ask me how I felt or try to understand me. Ang unang sinabi agad sa akin was that "nasa maling landas" daw ako.

Sobrang distracting, and I feel like it's affecting my focus.

For those who have experienced something similar, paano kayo naka-move forward?

Thank you in advance. 🤍

Las Pinas via Alabang-Zapote road to Dr. Santos LRT station

Thank you so much po sa sasagot! 🤍
