I feel understood for the first time

I went to a crisis clinic tonight, because I’ve been handling a break up VERY BADLY. I’ve never been to one. I was expecting to get resources to cope with all of what’s been happening to me. Before the clinic visit, I went to attempt to speak with my ex at his apartment, but I was dismissed and left. I was threatened with law enforcement (not directly, through a message from a friend), and had the friend tell me things my ex was saying. “He’s done with you” “there’s no chance of him coming back now” “you made everything worse” “he said if he sees you near his house he’ll have you trespassed and possibly a restraining order”. I hadn’t even done anything, and I was confused when I wanted to ask him for clarity (he broke up with me unexpectedly and completely shut me out)(we talked the day after the break up but I needed another clarifying conversation). I had a breakdown, and decided to take myself to a crisis center for help and someone to talk to. I don’t have many friends, I’m very isolated. Especially after my boyfriend leaves me on a Tuesday morning (IRONICALLY, he broke up with me because I seemed overly invested, overly attached in the relationship, I like him a lot and I can come off as obsessive. He has his own trauma with this, he’s scared, ptsd. I’m hoping for the best still)

The assessment begins and she asks me questions about the break up, I tell her what’s happened, my experience, how I’ve been handling it. I’m ruminating, I’m not adjusting to being without him well, I feel misunderstood, “too much”. I didn’t see it coming, because he was enamored with me. She asks me about my history with mental health, I also have severe ocd and ADHD. She asks about childhood, all of that, many questions. I have autism. The last thing I expected to walk out with was an autism diagnosis. I thanked her before I left, and told her she changed my life. She had acknowledged the consistent stress and depression I live in (with the already known ocd and adhd) and nothing ever worked to treat my ocd, and I hate talk therapy because it never did anything. She wanted to help because I was in distress in all aspects of my life (though the breakup is the most prominent) and had such low quality of life for 24 years old, I’ve never been told something like this before. I felt like she could see right through me. I mask incredibly well. I’ve never been more understood. I cried in my car after leaving, and once I got home, and now. I feel every part of me has been explained, I feel happy to know what’s going on with me. I feel more motivated to get help and have therapy because I had been discouraged by the many times I had tried and it never worked for me.

I didn’t leave with coping mechanisms and how to get this boyfriend madness handled. And that is going to suck because I don’t know what to do but all other aspects of my life have been changed

Is this a sign?

I had a rough start to my night. I was (not proudly) driving around for three hours, driving by my sp place to feel a sense of closeness. I have been a dark place since my sp broke up with me a week ago. We were happy, it was sudden (he got scared). He is amazing, he treats me so well, I haven’t loved anyone before, and I love him. I came back home, spoke with a neighbor which helped, and sat outside to meditate. I began with affirmations and deep breathing, manifesting that he will come back to me, he’s thinking of me, all the basic affirmations. I started to feel an overwhelming sense of happiness and hope. Hope that it’s happening. I had this giddiness where you know something amazing is coming. What could this mean?

I have ocd, and my brain will go rampant with negative thoughts and assumptions, and ruminate over and over, about him. I want to be able to distinguish those bad thoughts and the good thoughts and energy I’m having now. I told myself just now that it was only ocd, not my reality. My reality is he is with me, like everything was a bad dream. My reality is he’s coming back

Any tips?

I want him to come back, please help

I’m going a route that will not only ease my mind, but really seems to work for all of you! I need guidance on a spell that will help bring my ex boyfriend back to me. We had a beautiful relationship, and I want my future to have him in it. He treated me so well, I had the entire world in my hands because of him. It ended abruptly recently, his fears from trauma had completely overtaken him and he ended things with me. No contact. He blocked me. I want the chance to work it out with him, he never let me have a say. I understand with his emotional overwhelm. I want to love him, and give him everything he deserves (which is everything, he’s amazing).

I don’t have experience with casting spells, I know that protection spells are needed, I think. But if anyone would be willing to walk me through this for the best outcome, I’d be forever grateful. Beyond grateful

Manifesting reconciliation

I’m going through a break up. It’s only days old. I’m struggling with him not being close to me. I’m giving him distance, but I really want him to come back to me. I have trouble with letting things go when it comes to this. I can’t stop thinking about him. It’s always lingering in the back of my mind. Waiting. I haven’t made attempts to contact him. I won’t because I don’t want to ruin it.

What advice might help? What can I do? I tend to ruminate a lot with ocd. For reference, I turned 24 last month, and he turns 24 next month

Boyfriend dealing with ptsd

My boyfriend (23) had broken up with me (f24) the other day, he has severe trauma from previous relationships. I’d had the chance to speak with him after he cut me out, blocked me on everything. When we spoke in person tonight, the pain and stress was evident. He isn’t ready to be in a relationship, the ptsd is severe, and it broke me that he’s in this deep of pain. He mentioned that the trauma has caused constant panic attacks, and that it could be years before he feels ready.

I could see myself with him for the rest of my life. I love him. He clearly stated he can’t have me around in any capacity until he heals. I did my best to reassure him that I cared for him, and I only want to treat him the way he deserves. I want to support him through all of what he wants to do. I wish I could take away his pain and be there for him. He won’t allow me to. I wasn’t going to convince him to be with me again right away. I asked him to take what I’ve said, and sit with it for a while, and as he processes the trauma further. He gave himself until the end of the month to think and said that is when he might reach out or might not. I’m hoping he will.

I believe waiting for him is worth it. A month is not a long period of time, obviously not enough to heal from trauma, which is why I’m still willing to wait longer.

I want to also prepare to help him through it, should he decide that he’s willing to let me in. What are things I can do? I’ve looked into getting books on a partner with ptsd and how to navigate the relationship and can start there. I’m hopeful and want to be as understanding as possible. Not being able to contact him is going to be the most difficult part. I don’t want to wallow and rot away until the end of the month. I wish time passed quicker

Sudden breakup

I was broken up with suddenly at 5 in the morning. He left all my things on my porch, I woke up to the message from him. I’m distraught. The relationship had been going incredibly well and smoothly until Monday night, I was beginning to really fall for him. We’d been going out since June, so not a long period of time, but still it all meant so much to me after all I had been through.

On Monday, I told him about worries I had (I have ocd) and was looking for reassurance which he provided. Then he’d gotten upset and scared that I was too emotionally attached. His reasoning for the breakup today was he’d realized there was unprocessed trauma from his previous relationship a couple of months back where she was very abusive. I guess he’d spoken to his therapist about it. I’ve always understood this, and supported him while healing. The message was a gut punch. Asking me not to contact him further, he’s sorry I had misled him, and he isn’t ready to be intimate with someone. It is hard for me to understand because we had made each other happy. There was not one indication that this would happen, so I feel blindsided.

He treats me well, the best I’ve been treated, and we were incredibly compatible that I would’ve never foreseen a breakup coming. I have attempted to take my mind away from this all throughout the day. He hasn’t responded to messages, granted I know his schedule and know that he is preoccupied. I wish that he would give the chance to keep going. Take the relationship at a slower pace, anything but cutting me out completely.

I don’t know how to cope, and I feel completely and utterly alone. I live alone, not many friends. He’s a safe place for me, and I know that I’m the same for him (he’s told me many times). Is there potential that he’ll realize once emotions aren’t heightened that breaking up was a mistake?
