Trying to help my grandpa repair this generator remotely.

Coleman 5hp power mate. Model PM54-2500.

The pull string snapped and needs replacing but I’m kinda unsure if this one can just have the cord replaced or if a new unit is easier to do assuming I can even find one.

Traveled to Colorado a while back in this Tacoma. It was a TRD offroad six speed but it wasn’t 4x4. It just had the rear locker. How rare is this?

Climate control noise.

2001 sr5 with the three dials not the auto stuff. All the knobs function and everything works but I hear what sounds like a servo moving NOT a clicking which I think is common. Is this the blender door motor? It sounds like there’s some metal contacts that might lose connection over bumps etc and try to find the correct position.

How to disable daytime running lights. 2001 sr5

I often pull into campgrounds and places where I’d prefer to keep my vehicle running but shut off my headlights. From the sound of it there is a black and yellow wire under the steering column that I can disconnect that should make the light operation totally manual. I did see some mention of possible battery drain or similar issues. Has anybody done this and can chime in?

2001 4Runner stuck in 4wd hi.

Hey I’m just looking for extra tips or tricks but my 4Runner seems to have locked itself in 4wd hi and it won’t come out. I’ve tried driving back and fourth, neutral, low range and the 4wd lights just keep blinking at me and I can feel the wheels bind up. I’ve tried cycling the center diff button, checked the fuse for automatic differential disconnect and can’t seem to figure this out. Normally when I select awd I can hear vacuum hissing and then it will click it into awd. There’s no hissing now.

I could really use some help.

Multimode stuck in 4wd

2001 multimode. I regularly put my awd on and weekly use my locked 4x4 when on loose surfaces or straight roads. Tonight as I was pulling into my (thankfully) dirt driveway the awd wouldn’t quit flashing and it definitely feels like it’s stuck in 4hi.

I’ve read that common fixed are rolling back and forth etc or using neutral. Did it a few times and nothing. So I parked it and was gonna deal with it tomorrow.

Any extra suggestions?

Are there threads behind these marks for an extra door handle?

Drivers side top handle. Wondering if I cut these out if there are threads or something I could add an extra handle.

Repair options?

My grandpa loves this 20 year old high wheel string trimmer but it’s really just acting like it doesn’t have any compression. It’s 20 years old and has seen a ton of use and neglect. I’ve replaced everything on it aside from a full rebuild. Best options to keep it going?

Help identifying weather I saw.

Around 2016 I moved to aurora Colorado and one afternoon a cool front type storm rolled in and it dropped the temperature drastically. It stared dropping these like fiberglass strings of ice that sparkled in the sun. Not quite snow, I assume frozen humidity or something? Is there a name for this?

Only happens on the high fan setting. AC turns on and there’s a slight breeze on all other settings but max setting it does this. How hard of a job is this to replace?
