Ipsy OG & add-ons arrived today - I'll now be skipping from June until October (bc I always love the Halloween adjacent bags that month) and then will be canceling, since having weird allergies doesn't mesh too well with randomly curated subscriptions, among other reasons.

Will have to gift the Rodial bee venom cleansing balm & the eye cream due to said allergies. The lip oil is...fine. It's like every other basic lip oil I've ever tried, dries down kinda sticky, not really impressed lol. I actually like the wing me eyeshadow pallette more than I expected to, which is great! (but now I'm lowkey kicking myself & wondering how different my bag could have possibly been had I chosen that instead of the dang lip oil...) I am interested in the scalp serum, but I just started using a new shampoo that focuses on scalp treatment so it'll have to wait since I wanna see how that works out first.

The Iby chocolatier pallette is so cute & I'm just glad it made it here in one piece bc they didnt even bubble wrap it, just tossed in there like good luck lil homie safe travels lmao oof

The perfume was a blind buy & I'm stoked as heck that I thankfully am in love with it! I'm just uh, going to ✨️ignore✨️ the "may contain traces of wheat" warning on the back, bc ignorance is bliss LOL 🥴

Okay so first image is from the order I just made last week on Wednesday cause I completely forgot that there was an upcoming Mega drop shop 😅

I got a couple things I'm allergic to in my most recent glam bag which sucked so emailed them just to see if I could get an accommodation item or points maybe - since I cant really review + get points for the things I can't use - I mean I could but it's kind of crappy to do that since it messes with the ratings [i.e. people giving 1 star because they didn't want an item in their bag] but anyway, they basically said "here damn" & gave me a $3 shop coupon 💀 which btw only covered the taxes on my purchase 😹 but whatever as if I need a reason to ✨️ buy stuff ✨️ lmaooo

& then today I made the mistake of "just looking" at the mega drop shop and saw a few more things that I've been really wanting to try at pretty decent prices so...ya know... 🥴 I did notice some of what I already bought has slightly lower prices now which kinda hurt lmao but one of the things I bought is no longer in stock so its probably good that I made the order when I did 🤷🏼‍♀️

I wanna cancel my glam bag since it's too risky to get random items when I have allergies to worry about (wheat, pomegranate, bees) but also really want to get the October bag bc it's usually super cute - if I cancel now & then sign back up later I'm pretty sure I won't get to choose an item that month so I guess I'll just try to remember to skip each month until then? 😮‍💨🫠

Anyway time to avoid eye contact with my bank account lmfao I need to stay off the ipsy app until the MDS is over since apparently they're gonna keep adding items/deals?! I am too weeeaaak for this 😹

My box shipped so fast this month 🥹✨️

I'm thrilled with my selection! 8 of 11 items were "included" in my base box ($69) & the extra 3 add-ons (lip tint, facial cleansing brush & sun cream) were an additional $36 - not too bad if you ask me!

I did end up skipping the hand cream I was interested in because it was $27 to add on - although the price alone isn't the main factor here, more so that I'm not really a hand cream type of gal (sensory issues) lol so the price seemed steep for something that I may or may not love/use regularly. I'm definitely already feeling the FOMO though, so maybe if they still have it available as an add-on in July [my next box] I'll pick it up then 😊

I cant wait to try everything!!! (One at a time so I don't overwhelm my barrier, I know, I know! 😹)

I think I'm honestly most excited about the shampoo + hair treatment - my hair needs some major TLC! 🤞🏻

I'm hoping for some more deeply hydrating lip balm/treatment options in July! Unfortunately the one I picked up in my first box (cerolabs) left me less than impressed - it legitimately dries my lips out more which sucks 🫠

It's been a fun blast from the past (used to get ipsy in 2016/17), but there's other things I'd prefer to spend my money on tbh

I got 2 things I can't even use because of allergies. It's 2026 y'all - I don't think its too crazy of an ask to want companies like this to have the option to mark your allergens so you can avoid having them added to your bag/box 🤷🏼‍♀️

I did legitimately bust out laughing when I saw the bee venom face wash (severely allergic to bees btw) & it only got worse when I checked the ingredients & discovered it also has wheat germ oil & pomegranate 😹 sheesh triple whammy lmfao

The eye cream is the second thing I can't use - bc of the pomegranate. Hopefully I can find someone to gift these to that can actually use them!

Thankfully I really only got a bag this month in hopes that I could still grab the korres cashmere kumquat fragrance I saw posted as part of last months add-ons (I had skipped) which thankfully I was able to & I'm genuinely so excited about that!!

Another reason aside from allergens that I'm canceling is that ipsy just insists that I'm a coral/light pink girly when it comes to lippies/blushes even though I have things like "berries" & "adventurous" marked in my shade preferences for those and I'm so over it ngl 🫣

yes yes I know I chose the tynt lip oil even though the color isn't my preference, but I didn't really want the other stuff (ironically still got the eyeshadow pallette that was one of the choices tho lmao smh)
