Best streaming website (in my opinoon)

I have not seen a lot of people talk ab this site and I find it to work wonderfully so I'm gonna talk ab it here.

Flixmomo, (Formally Flixbaba) has literally EVERYTHING you can think of, Cartoons, anime (usually with both sub and dub), movies, newly released stuff (I used it to watch hoppers recently).

Each media has multiple players (around 10) and in case one doesnt work or you dont like it just mosey onto the next one!

It USED to have a big problem with directing you to sketchy sites every other click but they did a whole revamp and now I dont get that problem much (usually like once in a blue moon)

Obviously still use a VPN and adblocker.

A lot of players have subtitles as well so thats an awesome bonus as someone who enjoys those.

They move websites a lot but they always tell you when they have moved with a notification at the top.

I'm honestly shocked when it DOESNT have something.

It also gives u little blurbs about the media you've decided to watch, stuff like budget, genre, and the cast!

All in all I think it deserves more love and I wanted to share it here :).

Current site used is Flixmomo.us but they have a few others like .app and .TV (.us is the best and most polished)

Do NOT go to this website when Kipo gets off Netflix.

When Kipo gets off Netflix you should NOT head to flixmomo to watch it and any other show, movie you could think of.

Each episode has multiple players and a lot of them even have built in captions as well. Some players are more sketchy then others and will try to redirect you but the player Videasy works best from NOT my opinion because stealing is wrong.

The website does not try to redirect you to sketchy websites every other click. And it has literally anything you can think of. Anime, cartoons, movies and is rather up to date

But pirating is illegal and bad and we should all suffer in not being able to watch a show we like and should be forced to rebuy or rent it. Because who CARES if art is free for people to enjoy amiright??

But yeah do not head to Flixmomo.app (or whatever new website they've moved to to avoid being taken down) to still be able to watch it and enjoy it.

Flammable substance that protects what is underneath it?

So I have a character that is a certain species that when angered can set themselves on fire. However I do not want this species to be immune to fire. My idea is that this species produces a substance instead of sweat that is easily flammable BUT doesnt burn anything underneath until said material is burnt up. Can anyone tell me if there is a material like that?

Thank you

How to make a character of mine more personable?

So, to start my story is a sci fi which I think I'm STARTING as a comic but I hope to adapt into an animated cartoon.

Its about three alien criminals working in the Galactic Protection Force as a form of rehabilitation, the GPF's main job is in the name, to protect and help citizens, natural disasters, dasterdly criminals, enemy planets and organizations and other such work. Through that the main characters learn that they can change and become better people dispite their pasts. (Lmk if you'd watch/read this lol)

And my character I'm having trouble with is called Talulah, she is the mentor figure to my group of main characters, a very badass grandma who is super doting and caring but does NOT coddle. Has a fuck around and find out mentality. I.e letting a character who is known for antagonizing others go too far until he ends up getting his ass beat by someone who is much bigger and stronger than him. Dispite said character being on her team.

I love her a lot but the only issue I'm having with is her species. Shes an orca. And I dont mean like. An anthro thing. Just a straight up whale. Why??? Ill be honest it probably has to do with me having a hyperfixation on orcas and their intelligence.

I have some sci fi bullshit ways she can like float around using this technology like shes in the water and what not.

But every time ive made designs of her I'm not happy w them. They just dont FEEL personable enough. Like I'm not getting enough of her personality. That and they never really match my style either but I assume thats user error.

Here's a photo of my latest attempt at designing her (her eyes are supposed to be white I just forgot to color them in like an idiot) along with a few other characters and it just still looks wrong to me. What can I do to make a character like her more personable? Do you think I should just scrap the orca idea entirely and go with a different species? Its interesting but idk if it fits

Lmk your thoughts

Thoughts on some of my character concept art?

Order of characters: Iros, Reggie, Syrge, Neb, Loocust

Not the best artist but I'm trying. Concept art I made of them. I plan to make actual references with more concrete designs and probably some slight changes but thought id share my work here and see what people online thought!

These characters are for a science fiction cartoon/comic I want to make.

Also yes ik my perspective stinks but its something I am working on.

Loocust is my protagonist and my favourite but dont tell the others lol

▲ 9 r/Truro

How is Truro for a queer person.

So, I might be heading to Truro for college, (Specifically Digital animation at NSCC) and I have no clue what to expect as I never went there.

Ive never been to Truro actually.

I grew up as a weird, fat gay kid in a smaller town like 30 mins the opposite way from Halifax. I remember how tormented I was by people by my own age. And Truro is rather quiet within itself so I can't help but worry if I'm going to be subjected to the same fate here.

So, any queer colleged age kids, let me know how bad is it, honestly.

is selling individual PC parts or a full on PC better for money?

Hello computer nerds! I apologize if this isnt the right sub for this but I'm unsure where else to go.

I'm heading to college in a few months, very excited. And since I'm moving out and getting a laptop ive decided to sell my PC when the time gets closer.

Is selling the full PC better for cash or is the individual parts better? I was thinking EBay or FB marketplace. I'm not sure of the specs currently but I'll figure that out as I go along plus my brother is better at this stuff than me.

But generally should I sell the whole thing and figure out the specs or should I sell it in peices?

I dont really need a super high end PC anyways really. And Im getting a pretty good laptop for college, a Macbook pro (College required for my course)

But yeah lmk what I should do and once I have my laptop I'll work on selling it.

Thanks as always reddit

Brainstorming 'Save the Cat' scenes, which one would make you the most interested?

Hello there internet! I am an aspiring writing hoping to make my own adult sci fi cartoon/comic. and after getting some feedback from my mentor I have decided to rework my sort of save the cat scene that gets you interested in my main character. What I want to convey with this character is that the audience is interested in his past, interested in what happens with him, but also willing to see where the story goes because his backstory is going to be like slowly revealed. I got a few opinions already but I wanna see if y'all have any ideas. Here is a quick synopsis of my story:

Three criminals gain a chance to change for the better by working as members of the Galactic Protection Force. An organization that deals with various life threatening situations by sending out teams to distress calls and various missions.

and now the brainstorms.

  • A. First scene, him leaving his home at a station with luggage, talking about doing great things, very clearly a heartfelt goodbye. He gets on an alien esk train and waves goodbye to his family, staring out the window in awe. It then cuts to a sort of mirror scene. its dark and he has a freshly bloodied scar on his face, he looks down at his hands which are also bloodied, staring ahead with a traumatized thousand yard stare, ringing in his ears getting louder and louder. It then cuts to a chaotic scene of him at a mission several years into the future, being yelled at by his superior to focus, things are being shot, several team members are seen running around.
  • B. Starts the same as A, leaving his home but he does not speak in this scene, instead his community talks. Starting by saying how they're so proud of him and everything he will accomplish. But the talking turns cruel, they start saying how he deserved everything that happened, how he is better off dead and other cruel things. The people at the station distort and become monsters, and Loocust slowly starts to sink into the ground which has become a black inky substance. He also feels his face melting on the side that shares his scar and looks up in terror as the giant monster made of his family members and people from his community surround him and block out the sun, choking and gagging on the ink as he melts deeper, his heartbeat ringing in his ears. But abruptly he wakes up on the ground during a mission having passed out after being attacked by gas. and he jumps into continuing his mission.

I one vote A and one vote B so just lemme know what you guys think as the tie breakers or if you have any other suggestions/ideas. Any help is appreciated. Also just a reminder that I am a real person on the other side of this screen. Thanks as always for listening reddit

Have moral OCD and want a guideline to which creators you should support? I got one for ya

Howdy!! So I have had some issues with moral OCD. Am I a good person for supporting this creator kinda stuff. So, ive took it upon myself to make a sort of guideline to help myself in calming myself down. And I thought that some other people would find this benefical! Feel free to save the points below:

  1. Is what they are doing actively harmful? I.e, assault, donating to harmful organisations, using their platform to spread hate or harmful ideologies. Or is it just an edgy joke that didnt land well or a misinformed opinion/saying?

  2. How long ago was this incident? 7 years, 1 year, a week.

  3. If it was a while ago, have they apologized and taken accountability? And like, actually apologized for it.

  4. How do they handle critism? Did they have a public breakdown or block anyone who tried to correct them. Or did they go "oh I'm so sorry I had no idea this was bad. I am going to make a statement/post on showing why what I did was bad and how I will not do it again by being more informed."

  5. Have they changed for the better? Not done that again and havent done anything like that in years. Or have they been in a cycle of apologizing but doing it again a few months later with no real change?

  6. Are they still making a net positive impact on the world? And REALLY think about it. Like yeah maybe that one big decision was kinda shitty but maybe they are still doing amazing things in other regards?

If anyone wants me to clarify anything I will be more than happy to!! Hope this helps a few people especially in the age of the internet where random people are enemies and people who have done deplorable shit are totally fine apparently.

Its hit me how much this affects every aspect of my life

I thought for the longest time that all my OCD was was my intrusive thoughts, and that I had those covered BC my meds made them stop happening.

But after watching a therapist on Instagram do some skits. Its made me think HOW much I do is compulsions? And I realized its everywhere. How I talk to people, my routines, my career.

Every single part of me, even the ones that dont matter, are almost infected or tainted by it.

Every day I realize "hey wait. This feels like a compulsion I have to do." For something I thought was NORMAL and have done for years and year. Makes me feel like I'm a mirror maze. Looking for a way to live my life and to heal but all I run into is the same thing over and over.

I do now just want to ask while I'm writing this if the way I'm processing my emotions IS a compulsion.

I process them by usually writing them down. Usually to a point others can see, like texting friends or reddit posts like this. When I'm feeling strong emotions it feels like theirs a tangled ball of yarn in my head. And talking/writing it helps me pull it out cleanly so I can process how I'm feeling.

It doesnt feel like a compulsion, but I can't really tell what's what anymore. Is writing this down a compulsion? The urge to check if its a compulsion?? Jesus I'm getting meta compulsioned over here ffs lol.

As always thank you for listening reddit

Crippling fear ab my dream

This is kinda for advice and just a space to rant ab my feelings BC its keeping me up currently and I wanna get em out of my head.

So, I have loved cartoons. Ans like every other person out there, I want to make a cartoon series. Ive worked on it for close to a decade and ive put so much of my soul into it it feels like an extension of myself.

I want this project to be liked, no, LOVED. I want communities, lore discussions, cosplays, and just for my work to be known. Why? I dont know, I wish my brain had an awnser. Do I want to be liked? Is that it?? Idk.

And I just feel like its not going to live up to my expectations and I'm gonna be dissapointed. I constantly work on it, ask for advice, rework stuff or even just start over completely because it doesnt feel right and it doesnt feel good enough. I feel like if I just keep working on it eventually I'll make SOMETHING people will love and will become the next big cartoon phenomenon.

Initially, going to studios was my plan but majority of them suck so slim pickings. Going indie is an option but unless your Glitch you dont really get the numbers I want. Each installment gets lower and lower veiws so unless you get high enough then no one will be watching really.

Maybe its selfish of me to want to be liked like this. To be as big of a cultural phenomenon as TADC or adventure time or ATLA. Idk.

I just want this to feel like its good enough, it feels like this is my purpose, my destiny, and I can't fail it. But so much of it is based on luck. And idk if its gonna be on my side..

This probably doesn't make sense. Its 2AM ans I can't sleep bc the fear of just not making it is crushing me a bit.

As always, thanks for listening reddit.

Hello lovely people of the interwebs. I have an organization called Wardens. They are a rehabilitation method for criminals by making them act as emergency first responders, fighting crime, dealing with natural disaster or other protective duties. In this orgsnization there are ranks.

I initially gave them military ranks but then I realized I knew nothing about the military or anything like that and I didnt wanna really use earth terms. I tried to make my own terms but they didnt roll off the tongue. So I'm gonna give you the ranks, my initial names for them and hopefully I can get some ideas on what to call these ranks

Ward/New star: Technically not a warden yet, but is under the care of a warden and is set to become one when they reach an age of maturity.

Trainee/Half star: A warden that is currently on some sort of trial run or probation, doesnt have all the same privileges of a regular warden

Warden: Base ranking, usually in teams of 4-10

Lutenient/Duostar: Second in command to the captain/three star, like an assistant teacher, deals with coaching the team and runs it when the captain isnt available

Captain/Tristar: Runs a group of wardens that goes on various missions, helps guide their wardens to completing the mission assigned to them.

Major/Quadstar: Is in charge of around 3 groups of wardens, and assigns the teams the various missions available.

Sargent/Quintstar: is in charge of a whole precinct of wardens. Each major reports to them. Usually is in close ties with the top of the organization

So yeah. I'm stuck on names and would like some help or advice. Are my names good? Its a sci fi so I wanted to stray away from earth names but just making up words sounds wrong. Any advice would be appriciated :P have a good night and thanks for reading
