I live on a coastal island and we have critical nesting habitat for endangered Loggerhead sea turtle and Kemp’s ridley sea turtles - plus the first green turtle nest here in years…. (Season is May-October) we have several new nests and they are within yards of where a land charter shark fishing “guide” sets up - I don’t have any issues with his business but the fact that he refuses to follow endangered species guidelines and he is shark fishing immediately adjacent to marked turtle nests and in an area where turtles are actively nesting and will be hatching - using drones to drop bait and lure in large sharks all while mama turtles may be trying to swim ashore to lay nests (and at this point also become shark bait) just pisses me off as that is a direct danger IMO to the endangered species…. He could very well move to another area on the island (the gulf side is 14 miles long) but he chooses to remain in this area below MHTL which is public beach -and not on any private property, he knows how to skirt that law - I reached out to him to explain as I was naive at that point to think he may not know, and now he is saying I have been harassing him for months citing fishing ordinance laws like he actually thinks he knows what he is talking about - I made 1 comment to him regarding this on social media and he’s lost his shit…. Should I have just called wildlife management or the coastal foundation who regulates this activity rather than just trying to educate him? He has posted multiples lies about this one interaction - all could be classified as libel as I have all of the screenshots and his posts. Sorry long rant but AITAH here?

Has anyone ever stopped to think that maybe if people (including me) quit constantly reaching at Taylor - whether it’s nonstop praise or nonstop hate - she might actually stop reacting and lashing out so much?

Social media turns everything into extremes. Every move gets dissected, every emotion gets amplified, and people keep pushing for reactions. At some point, constantly feeding the chaos probably becomes part of the cycle itself. And her reactions amplify and the behavior gets more and more unhinged.

NOT excusing her bad behavior at all… but sometimes the internet acts shocked when someone spirals while simultaneously fueling the spiral 24/7. Just my thoughts…..
