Cruising to Hokkaido with the family for a little R&R. Brought the 3DS and my 4-year-old has been having a good time in word searches and helping me draw her letters in crosswords.

You truly can’t beat having two screens with one for touch.

I’m late to the party, but I saw the SNL sketch recently and had no idea this was really a thing. Is this a common debate?

I grew up listening to the Blue Album and Pinkerton in high school and those albums had a significance to me and even now mostly due to nostalgia. I couldn’t/can’t help but feel that I grew out of their sound. Or was it the writing? Each album just felt like it was for a younger generation as I entered into college.

I’d buy another one in a different color way if I ever came across one. These discontinued drawstring daypacks have been through everything.

From baby bag, gym bag, a rolled-up daypack when trekking, and everything in-between. Not sure why they ever stopped making them.

Beavis and Butt-Head in Virtual Stupidity released on PC back in ‘95 and saw an exclusive release in Japan on the PlayStation in ‘98. I found the PSOne release and emulated it to my Anbernic 35xxPro.

Took my kids to push buttons instead of pushing mine for once over at OSEBA at the Shimada Electric Manufacturing Co. over in Hachioji.

You’ll go through the whole place in about an hour but it’s still a good time!

I bought this album when it first came out back when I was in college. For the past 25 years, I’ve been harmonizing birthday songs thanks to Richard’s Mum. My wife hates that I do it. 😬

Abandoned Benz and home in western Tokyo.

I reside in a ward in western Tokyo that’s a mixture of quiet neighborhoods and farmland blocks. My wife and son were out last week and my son was excited to show this to me when I was riding him and his sister back from school yesterday. It didn’t disappoint.

Wanted bull bars for a vintage aesthetic but it’s loose. I wrapped the sides with electric tape as a buffer for a snug fit.

Foil-wrapped salmon w/ sautéed mushrooms, Hokkaido corn on the cob and roasted potatoes from my six-year-old son’s school garden.

A rainy day calls for the adventures of Kyle Hyde.

It’s time to tap back into this as it’s been ages since I last played this. Last Window: The Secret of Cape West will be next.

Buddy from high school is a huge fan of Goonies. I was in a Astoria Oregon where it was shot while visiting my parents one year who used to work for the KOA and got him some goodies. He made it into a shadowbox.

What’s up with a post being removed by Reddit’s filters? I’ve been trying to post Annie Lebovitz’s book but it keeps being taken down.

Obtained this print cleaning out my wife’s grandfather’s home. Signature appears to be Kou Limure/a, but can’t find a match anywhere.

Are there any chain framing stores in Tokyo where I can just buy a frame for the size of something like a concert poster and just slap it in there and hang it?

There is a place called Michael’s in America that was a craft store and in the back, they’d have a series of different frames you could purchase outright and you could even get some framed by staff.

I was gifted Anki for iOS for my Japanese studies. Is there a quick guide for setting it up so I can study from my phone?

I’m not familiar with “decks” or how to even get/make them. I have a computer, but I’m not hugely computer savvy. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
