This was my first 300 blackout build. The picture came up in my Google photo memories. It's got a BA 8.3" 300BLK Premium Series Hanson Profile barrel and a KAK K-SPEC Full Chrome Downvent C158 BCG. I run a standard mil-spec carbine length buffer spring with an H1 buffer weight by Battle Arms in the Maxim Defense CCS. It has a Geissele SSP trigger in it now (CMC component trigger depicted here) and the can I'm running is a SilencerCo Scythe Ti. It's so quiet when shooting subs and it cycles reliably. The H1 buffer can handle both supers and subs suppressed. The optic is a Sig Sauer Romeo 5 Gen 2 Elite on a Scalarworks LEAP 01 1.93" mount. it's a sweet little build and I enjoy shooting it a lot. I decided to build out a new upper for my PDW style 300 Blackout. It's nothing to fancy but runs great. Cycles supers and subs suppressed reliably.

Here is the upper parts list:

The suppressor I am running is a SilencerCo Scythe Ti 30cal can with a traditional baffle stack.

At the range I shot 40 124gr supers (20 unsuppressed and 20 suppressed). I shot 40 200gr subs suppressed. My groups were about 2MOA.

Overall not bad. I really like the downvent BCG. Does a good job at preventing gas to my face. I have an H1 buffer and carbine buffer spring in the CCS. Handles unsuppressed and suppressed shooting nicely. I enjoy building new uppers, lowers and fine tuning my builds. Hitting the range is always a fun time.

Just got the SLR Rifleworks EDC Magwell for my new G19.6 COA. I also installed the Glock OEM extended slide stop/release. I installed the TLR7X when I first got it two weeks ago as I had it laying around. I don't plan on doing anything else to this G19. It fits in my G19.5 holster so no need for a new one. If Glock release a GPT for the Gen 6 then I will be getting one but aside from that I don't see a need for an further upgrades as this will be my new EDC. I have a Ramjet and Afterburner combo on my G43X MOS and my G45 MOS. They work great but I don't need that on a G19 EDC in my opinion. I shoot it very well considering all the years I've trained and carried the G19. Anyone else think this way about the G19?

Did a bit more digging through my spare uppers and found 3 more with M4E1 uppers in box number 2. The first upper is a 11.3" 5.56, the second is a 11.5" 5.56 and the last one is a 9" 300 Blackout. I enjoy looking back at my previous builds. All three have been fired but relegated to my spare upper box in favor of newer and nicer uppers. Enjoy!

I built two identical 5.56 upper receivers a 10.5" (first pic) and 11.5" (second pic). I like them both and they both shoot nicely. I am huge fan of 11.5" barrel length for 5.56 but in this case I am digging the 10.5" more. The Geissele H3 buffer I have in the lower helps a lot with the recoil impulse and cycling in both of these shorties. There really isn't any noticeable difference between the two which I was kind of surprised by. I have a bunch of different 10.5 and 11.5 uppers that I've built over the years and there is a noticeable difference between the two when shooting them especially suppressed. The 11.5s typically run a bit smoother with a softer recoil impulse while my 10.5s tend to be a bit more snappy. Never the less, I think I am going to go with the 10.5" upper. It has a KAK K-SPEC Full Chrome Downvent C158 BCG in it which has been a great addition for shooting suppressed. The 11.5" has a L&S DLC C158 BCG which is also a nice BCG but I do end up getting more gas to the face with even with the Breek Arms Sledgehammer gas defeating charging handle. Question for my quad rail enthusiasts; what is your preferred barrel length?

I bought this from a friend who is an armour. He said he only out maybe few hundred rounds through it. He gave me it with the light, upgraded trigger, extra mags and two tier one holsters. I got it for a really good price and so far it's been nothing but reliable.

I have 6 9mm Glock pistols, I know, I know;; rookie numbers... I just need one more and then I will have one for every day of the week. I'm thinking Glock 17 Gen 6 (non-COA). What do y'all think?

I recently discovered Texas Precision Laser (TXPL) and bought a few Die Free Co Kung Fu Grip and Tiger Claw combo sets from them. This 11.3" was an awesome platform for me to try them out on - it was a blank canvas waiting for some inspiration. All the grips look great on this build and it's hard to pick out of the three but I guess if I had to choose I'd go with the first set since it has a matching Tiger Claw. It's called the Frosted "Brain". The other two grips from their July 16th drop are nice too but I would rather keep those off any guns and hold them as collector pieces. I am what you would call a DFCO Kung Fu Grip and Tiger Claw combo set collector. I have every set that DFCO released and/or has partnered with other companies on like Piece of Mind Guns to make. The only set I am missing is the Duck Hunt set and have been patiently waiting for DFCO to drop them again. Anyway, TXPL did a fantastic job on their sets and I think they look great. Which one do you like the most? BTW It's OK if you aren't a fan of these grips - This post is really to shed some light on a cool small business (TXPL) and let others know about them. Their work is amazing and so is their customer service. I highly recommend you check them out regardless if you like DFCO grips or not. TXPL does laser engraving and cerakote. Enjoy!

Glock 19 Gen 6 COA acquired. She's a beaut!

Brought these two to the range today to compare them and I was shooting my Gen 5 better but that may be due to having more trigger time with it. The Gen 6 feels good in my hands and I like how it fits in all my Gen 5 holsters. Trying to decide whether I should displace my Gen 5 for the Gen 6 as my EDC but I think I need to shoot it some more to gain more confidence before I do that. Time will tell but I did enjoy my range trip. Anyone else swapping out their previous Gen Glock 19s for a Gen 6?

Was digging through one out of two boxes of upper receivers that I built over the years. Each box has 8 uppers in them, totalling 16 complete upper receivers. They all have BCGs, charging handles, ASR muzzle devices and optics on them. I found 4 in box number 1 that have Aero Precision M4E1 upper receivers so I decided to throw them on a M4E1 lower that I built a couple years ago to see how they looked. I have fired all of these uppers but they don't get much love since they are relegated to my spare uppers boxes. Starting with the first pic, that's a 10.5" 5.56, the second is an 11.3" 5.56, the third is a 14.5" 5.56 (Noveske Afghan barrel) and the last one is 9" 309 blackout. I'll bust out box number 2 this weekend and we'll see what I find. Stay tuned!

I finally got my hands on Glock 19 Gen 6 COA. I immediately pulled the trigger and bought it. Upgrade wise, I am throwing a TLR7X and calling it a day. It fits perfectly in my Vedder Holster that I EDC my Gen 5 in. Stopped by the range on my way home and it shoots like a Glock and I love it!

I bought my first AR back in 2020 and it came with the lower receiver you are in the picture. I have since stripped it completely down and rebuilt it. Any help ID"ing this lower would be greatly appreciated.

I woke up at 2:30 am and was determined to do a trigger swap on this 11.3" Aero Precision M4E1 build. I wanted a Single Stage trigger.in this build instead of the Geissele G2S that was in it.

Luckily I had a few options to choose from:

- ALG QMS single stage trigger

- ALG ACT single stage trigger

- CMC Triggers Single Stage Component Combat Curved trigger (4.5lb)

- Radian Vertex Flat Bow Trigger

- Geissele SD-3G Flat Bow Trigger

I narrowed down the options to two; the Radian Vertex and Geissele SD-3G. I ended up going with the Geissele SD-3G. I used the black spring which is the lighter spring. I know it's not technically a single stage trigger -- It's a hybrid but I've used it in another build. It feels like a single stage to me, almost comparable to the SSP but better. if I had a spare SSP then that's what I would went with. Long story short I ended up installing the 3G.

I just got home from the range and couldn't be happier with the swap. Not sure if it is funny or sad that this kept me up at night. It didn't take long to swap out the trigger but still got me thinking about the situation...

Anyone else rocking a VLTOR A5 buffer system on their 11.5" build? The improvements are quite noticeable and I can't get over how soft shooting it has made my build especially suppressed.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I upgraded my mil-spec buffer retainer with a Forward Controls Design RBF (reinforced buffer retainer). I think paying attention to little details like these make the overall build that much better.

I was looking around for a OWB holster for G19.5 MOS and I happen to come across this brand new IWB We The People holster and mag carrier for a Glock 45. I completely forgot that I bought these for my Glock 45. They're actually not too bad. I think I got em for $50. I bought them at least over 2 years ago. I am rocking them right now in a T-shirt and not printing which is good. Pretty comfy even sitting down and I'm wearing appendix. I typically use Vedder Holsters but I'm digging the WTP holster I just found. Anybody else use We The People holsters or are they not as good as I think they are for the price?

I heard quad rails were cool - did I make the cut?

Thank you to everyone who helped me in this community with my magnifier decision/purchase. The G33 was definitely the right move. I will be adding a SureFire M340DFT Pro Turbo and Unity Modbutton next. Those parts are on order and should be here soon. I just got a Noveske 11.5" 5.56 Commando barrel today as well. I will either do a barrel swap on this upper or build a new one. Hard to decide. I have a BCM upper and 10.5" FCD RHF handguard that I can use to build a brand new upper with the Noveske barrel instead. The FCD handguard is pretty nice but I would be giving up the 7 sided mlock that the MK16 provides. I would like others thoughts on what they would do if it was their build. Would you swap out the Rosco 11.5" 5.56 Bloodline barrel in the upper you see in the pic with the Noveske or use the new BCM upper and 10.5" FCD RHF handguard to build a brand new upper with the Noveske barrel?

I EDC the G26 Gen 4 and have been for over a decade. The G26 Gen 5 MOS is a range toy. Both are awesome little pistols and given the chance I would dual wield them. Who wouldn't, am I right?
