I charge my etron at work, as they charge wholesale electric price which is a little cheaper than domestic rate (21p vs 26p currently), and I don't do enough mileage for a home EV tariff to make sense.

My commute uses 10% of my charge, so I had set my charge target to 90% as I charge after lunch ready for the commute home, arriving home with ~80-82% ish most days.

The audi app flagged up an annoying warning about how utterly devastating this is for battery ageing. It can't be marked as acknowledged or read, it will only clear after charging repeatedly to 80% a few times.

Anyone know of a way to ignore it anyway, other than just ignoring it? 😂 I've bought at 6 year old etron with 70k on the clock, whatever battery ageing is going to happen has already been done in the first 3 years of its life.

It feels like when they originally made AoS, they had to group all the existing armies together, for some reason, into the 4 grand alliances.

They decided to elevate the horned rat to become the fifth chaos god to make them fit, but I think this was a blunder and they're far closer to destruction, since their whole thing is DESTRUCTION and RUIN, since stuff being destroyed empowers their god.

All the existing chaos gods have more of a plan/reason for their activities, skaven just want everything dead.

Further to this, if the horned rat really was a 5th chaos god, why doesn't it show up in 40k? Absolutely no mention of it in 40k, despite it being a fully timeless, omnipotent chaos god like this others, apparently.

Orcs have Gork and Mork, who also transcend time and space and appear in both settings, The Great Horned Rat (really needs an actual NAME instead of a description too), could have quite easily been grouped with destruction.

I'm in the process of p2v a windows box. The Windows partition is ~118GB with 90GB used.

I have disk2vhd the machine, plugged the USB into proxmox and made a copy and converted it to qcow2.

I've made an empty VM to then import the disk, but on import it shows a line

Why is the disk size 85.8 GiB yet "virtual size" is 238 GiB? It occupies over half of the space on the datastore where I intend to hold it. I want to keep it small so I can clone for testing purposes.

I have a small proxmox server with a couple of drives, a 256 with OS on and 512 with a couple of containers volumes.

The 256GB drive has an LVM partition of 32GB.

How can I extend this? Ultimately I can't update my OS as it needs 2GB of space and only has ~900MB free currently. There is a 256GB drive but the partition is only 32GB.

I looked at some guides but got completely lost with physical volumes, volume groups, partitions etc etc.

For transportable Tempestus, (<=12 models) is it simply always better to take a 5 man squad with a 5 man tempestus command squad than a 10 man squad with a commissar? Command squad is 10 pts more than the 5 man scions.

I presume Scions can't self-order like Kasrkin can? So a command squad attached would have the benefit of orders?

I have 3 rogal dorns to build (from an Armageddon battalion box and 2x AM Platoon boxes.

I'm a returning player from 3rd ed 👴🏻 where I still have 3 Leman Russ tanks, a vanilla BT, demolisher, and Exterminator.

With these in mind, what would be a good combo - I would guess make one of them a Tank Commander, any preference on loadout for a TC?

I'm not a meta-chaser by any measure, but if one weapon is objectively better in 90% of circumstances then I'll roll with it. Though I would like a mix, for the aesthetic, and to give me options for list building.

Also, how tricky is magnetising a RD? 👀

I have recently bought an OG etron with virtual door mirrors. Above ~60mph I can hear a pretty distinct wind noise coming off them I think. I test drove another etron with regular mirrors when I was shopping around and I don't remember hearing the same noise in that one.

It's not too loud, but it's intermittent like it's gusty windy, so it becomes impossible to tune out. The B&O radio can easily drown it out but I usually drive with no music because I'm a psychopath.

Does anyone else with virtual door mirrors get this same wind noise? Or should I look at window seals or something else?

I've pre-ordered one of the Platoon Battleforce sets, with the FOB, Basilisk, Rogul Dorn and squad of cadians and cadian command and commissar.

Is it worth picking up a second? I'm leaning towards an artillery heavy army, so it fits thematically, to a point. Would you generally run two cadian command squads or is that a bit of a waste of points? Additional commissars for 30 points is never a waste as far as I've read, with things like the FOB re-rolling 1s to hit when under orders etc.

I also got the Armageddon army box (still in my tower of opportunity), so I'd end up with 3 RD tanks. I'm not sure if this is excessive, or just fully utilising the rule of three. 👀

I have a seat position set up and set on both memory 1 and 2 on the door.

When I leave the car, the easy exit seat pulls the seat back giving more room, and when I get in it pushes forward, but it doesn't return to the position on the memory, so I have to hit 1 or 2 after it moves to move it to my preferred position.

It's not a million miles away, but it's a small niggle. I can just turn off easy entry seat option so the seat doesn't move, but I'd rather just have it set to my preferred position so it does what it's supposed to.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Got a 2020 e-tron 55 SUV (MY2019) this week after putting deposit down a month ago. The delay? Whirring/milling sound from the rear motor at light load (under 25% throttle).

Luckily I had read up on the issue before looking at potential cars so I was aware of the seal problem in the motors. After dragging their feet, the dealer took it to Audi. Audi then ran diag and confirmed rear motor fault and replaced the rear motor at their cost due to the age of the vehicle.

So I'm a happy owner of a 6 year old etron with 70k on the clock and 0k on the rear motor!

I don't have a battery degradation report. I haven't charged to 100% yet but working on miles from percentage drop 100% looks to be around 215 miles range which feels in line with a 6 year old battery aging. From what I've read the batteries on these are particularly resilient with a conservative chemistry?

I've seen a few topics around the internet ask this before but without any definitive answer.

My unraid is primarily a media server, so I would like to spin up the array for the evening, say 5pm-11pm. I know there's no native setting for this within unraid but I was hoping for a userscript or plugin, I can't be the only one who would like this functionality?

Outside of these times I would like to keep the original behaviour (spun down, spin up on access, spin down after 15 mins no activity).

New to EVs, don't own one currently, looking at an eTron this weekend.

I'm curious about home charging boxes. I won't be doing a huge mileage, my commute is 35 miles daily, working week. Topping that off won't take that long on a 7KW charger, certainly not a full 6 hours of off-peak tariff.

So - looking at ev tariffs from Octopus gives 6 hours of low rate, but the remaining 18 hour day rate is considerably more than current price cap; 8p/33p in my area, vs current price cap of 24p. Given my low usage, I would be easily worse off on this tariff.

My question then is for Hypervolt which I've found, as it's smart are you able to get an EV rate for the energy used to charge your EV only, without touching/changing your standard domestic tariff? I think I saw one from OVO who credits your existing supplier so you net out at 7p/kwh for your EV charging, but your domestic rate doesn't change.

This may be a long shot, but does anyone have access to measurements of both the 2023 Speed Twin 900 and the 2025 T120? Ideally technical drawings showing bike geometry (seat height, fork length, bar height/angle etc) as I have a shoulder pain on the outside of my throttle arm on my T120 that I never had on my Speed Twin.

Looking at pics of both at very closely similar angles, it's apparent the Speed Twin bars are higher than the T120 relative to the seat. Instead of just buying some riser/spacers and guessing, I was hoping to do something slightly more informed with some actual measurements to get a ballpark idea.
