Ozempic Face

So no one outside of my immediate family knows I’m taking GLP-1, I’m not ashamed of it, but it’s still sort of a taboo where I come from.

I was talking to someone the other day about it and they said “Yeah look at XYZ, they’ve got the ozempic face” so I asked them what it meant and they said it’s the face people get when they lose weight using ozempic.

I tried to counter it, saying it’s natural and pretty normal for people’s facial structure to change after they loose a bunch of weight and the person said “no, you can tell when someone has lost weight with ozempic”

So my question is, is ozempic face a thing? And am I going to end up with an ozempic face? And if yes, how do i avoid it?

Needed to share my progress…

I started at 104.5kgs and down to 92.6kgs as of this morning. It’s been a crazy journey so far and I’m still around 27kg-30kg away from my goal.

I’ve had a rough couple of weeks, people came over, went on vacation, been “off track” for around 15 days and still managed to lose almost 3kgs. During those two off weeks I’ve had all kinds of junk food, still tried to avoid fried when I could and stayed in a deficit as best as I could.

And TODAY, after almost 2 months of being on this weight loss journey and being on mounjaro, someone I haven’t seen in months finally said “Didi, you’ve gotten slimmer”. I had to act nonchalant and say it’s nothing but chat, I wanted to jump up and down, and I did, as soon as I was out of sight.

It’s not big, I can see the difference myself but it kind of all feels worth it, you know. Like it’s just not my imagination and I’m having a visible transformation?

Here’s an update y’all wanted…

It’s coming sooner than y’all expected but he’s had so many little developments over the last two days that I felt like I needed to share it with y’all since you have been such a help.

  1. He opened both of his eyes. They’re like little boba balls and super adorable.

  2. He still sleeps most of the days and only wakes up to be fed, but he’s become a lot more vocal about it.

  3. He prefers to hide his eyes (or face) while he sleeps, I think all puppies do that but he works his little puppy brain pretty hard to ensure that and it’s adorable.

  4. It took him two days of being with us and figuring out how to escape his basket, but he gets stuck halfway through the process. We alternate between a bucket, a close lid basket and this one to ensure his safety.

  5. He’s actually older than we initially thought, his first vet visit (home visit because we didn’t want to risk taking him out just yet) told us that he’s actually two weeks old and not just one.

  6. His legs are getting stronger and I think he’s trying to stand on all fours rather than just crawling around.

  7. You guys have been a great help and we’ve gotten the hang of caring for him. We’ve decided to adopt him for now, until we can either make arrangements to keep him permanently or find a good healthy family for him.

I’d like you guys to meet JEFFERY!! 🐶🧿❤️

Please tell me what to do.

I got this puppy yesterday and he’s only a week old and doesn’t have a mom. He’s a husky and I need to know any tips or tricks you might have for me to take care of him. I’m currently feeding him using a syringe because that’s all I had when I got him last night but I’m going to get a baby bottle this morning.

Is this normal?

I have seen people lose like 4-5 kgs in a span of a month or something but I’ve lost almost 9kgs in 32 days (I also stopped counting calories or eating “good” for around 4-5 days in between).

My question is, Am I doing okay? Or am I losing weight too fast? Right now I’m at around 1.2kg-1.3kg/week. And I’ve only had 4 doses till now (was supposed to have my 5th on 12th of June, but I missed it and I haven’t had the next one since)

I don’t like food anymore

So, I’ve recently started GLP-1 (Mounjaro). I had my fourth dose yesterday 2.5mg. I used to love food, like not just unhealthy food but food in general and now even though I do get cravings, it’s very easy to move past them.

I’m not generally someone who seeks variety, like I can eat the same meal for weeks and it doesn’t bother me if I really like it. And I was enjoying my diet. I have a set number of things I eat in a day because 1. It keeps me aware of my calorie intake and 2. It’s easy to prepare instead of constantly wondering what to eat. So today I had those meals and they tasted awful. I made them how I usually prepare my food and I had to force myself to eat them because they tasted so bad I wasn’t able to finish them. I’ve only had some brown rice and a fruit yogurt, both of which fit my diet and I like them. But they tasted so bad that I couldn’t wait to get it over with. Basically I only ate because I had to not because I was enjoying it or I was hungry (I rarely get hunger signals)

Is that a side effect of the dose? Should I be doing something to fix that?

Is it just me?

I like digvijay (not like a fan but yeah I guess he’s nice and stuff) but I don’t like this new style to him.

He used to look good with his previous style, very relatable like the boy next door type but this is just… trying too hard, I guess?
