So Recently i got BC to lord. I basically did about 30% of the grind before the nerf and 70% after the nerf and i wanted to share some of my thoughts and why i worry about this character going forward.

First! YES SHE DID NEED THE NERFS THAT SHE GOT!

However

I wanted to talk about the other aspect of her kit. Like many after the nerfs I felt like BC was unplayable, her whole kit feels rather clunky without the second dash. However adapting to it didnt take long and pretty soon I was able to engage using invis item only and have found decent success. Currently have a 55% win rate on her in GM lobbies.

I do think that this character is now in need of a buff! and before you have a jerk reaction to this statement. let me explain the main issue with this character so far.

You need to hit imo 2 hooks to steal enough money to buy invis and engage with the remaining cash that should be about 400. Another hook on point blank to get more cash and do the animation cancel (auto, claw aoe, phantom pursuit) . And follow by more aoe claws or if they dash away follow them with the dash if you think you won’t die. Save enough fortune think is 200 for invis to get out.

The above is roughly her current play loop. So below I’ll describe the issue.

If you happen to be human or are really new, you’ll be surprised how easy it is to miss the hook that gets you fortune. Eventually you realize that hitting the tanks with it is nice since they have a much bigger hit box. But you eventually realize that It can get randomly block by tanks. Sometimes a random mag bubble blocks it.

Oh but what’s the problem with that.

Well the ability has a 5 second cd, So you miss one time, and assuming you hit the other 2 following hooks. You are looking at a total time gathering fortune of 15second (assuming you hit them all on cd) Now this isn’t all because you should realistically wait or while you are repositioning yourself for the dive, run down the 5s on the hook so you can use it point blank in the pattern I describe above. So realistically if you miss one hook, you wasted roughly 20second before you even interacted with the enemy backline.

Now imagine if you just get really unlucky and miss 2 times in a row. You are basically useless for over 30 seconds. That could be an entire team fight.

NOW THIS IS WHAT WORRIES ME!

The reason i dislike the nerfs that she got in the last season is that it didn't affect the main complains that people had. Once i have enough fortune, i am able to essentially chain together phantom pursuits (iframes) into invis into jumps in the air into iframes etc.

and

The more you play her, the second dash being gone, while it sucks, you can still work around it.

Basically if they decided to buff her up time, by giving her more fortune on hook or second dash back or Revert the "bug" more fortune on dash, SHE WILL BE BACK TO BEING THE MENACE SHE WAS.

The only thing gate keeping her is her low fortune gathering. Which while it fixes the issues for the people facing her, she feels awful to play whenever you are playing as her.

Netease please, look at your balancing a bit closer, you are targetting the wrong parts of her kit!

Black cat should get a buff to her up time by increasing fortune gathering on her. But you need to give phantom pursuit iframes a longer CD so that enemies are able to interact with her instead of feeling like she cant be kill.

Personally i would revert the changes to the shop, that increases the price on items. (i would leave the nerf to wall hacks because that was op and is good that it go nerf!) and add a rule that makes it so, if you decided to buy the same item back to back it would increase the cost of the item by let say 100. This way Black cats wont be spamming the invis item at all times.

Currently there is almost no reason to buy any other item in the shop for 95% of situations. I would like BC to have skill expression by having the cleanse item be useful instead of iframing through most cc like luna snowball and mantis sleep.

I worry that she'll get buff and be back to the menace she was before the nerfs due to netease not targeting the right parts of her kit and making other parts irrelevant (looking at the current shop)

So i am new to DP and learning his dash cancel tec. but like i dont understand why is not consistant when hitting enemies from the left side. The clip above shows me doing the dash cancel from all different angles but for some reason, this one side always makes me miss the dash. i am confused on if i am doing something wrong here?

Love you guys. Keep up the good fight. When we finally get buff we are gonna go crazy with all the training we getting.

I made a post earlier about trying and adapting but nah dude this is so ass. I can maybe get behind not have a dash but i cant even make enough coin to participate in any fights. i am basically a side character watching from a side as i attemp to collect fortune. is so ahh....

I LIED BROTHERS but if i want to keep playing this game i cant keep trying her. i had the most miserable day in rivals in a long time. not because of the enemy.. i was fighting my character the whole time.

Time to learn DD ig. his nerf didnt seem as hard as cats so at least he looks playable. I might keep playing her on occasion while i wait for some buffs but in this state. Ill uninstall if i keep trying to main her.

So i play bc so i dont wanna hear that i am a support spreading bs. Hence the clip. Anyways, like many i think that the removal of the second dash is such a stupid nerf. She feels like she got take out back and shot.

Her uptime is horrible, and her engagement is horrible. She is much more of a thief in this version imo. It feels like my kill are almost always opportunistic kills that people are either A. Low or B. So bad that they let me kill them.

None the less if you are a Black Cat Enjoyer, like myself, we will make it work. I was told in the game above that she needed more nerfs. Support players and pokeslop DPS are ahh. So they will die to this version of cat too.

So as many people, I been frustrated when dealing with black cat and I belive the best way to know how to counter a hero is to know how to play them and see how people deal with black cat.

Personally I don’t think this hero has a “counter” there are many small things that players can do to give themselves better odds of survival but as the current version of this hero, it depends on the black cat to outplayed themselves.

Every single one of my deaths, I have always gotten the feeling that “umm If I didn’t mess up I would kill and live”
And while this could be say about just about any character, I belive black cat is unique in the way that she has so many tools to survive and some of those tools make her skill ceiling a bit easier to hit but also not. Let me explain

Many people point out that black cat current iframe attack is too strong and I will agree due to the low cd on the ability and it makes other parts of her kit a bit irrelevant.

Black cat shop countains an item that removes cc. But this isn’t something that I would buy often even when facing characters like mantis or Luna to get out of the cc since I can just iframe through it. This is my opinion makes the character skill ceiling a bit lower than what the character kits allows.

Personally I think black cat should receive the following nerfs.

1. The current iframe attack has a cd of 4 seconds I think between use. I would add a sort of refresh condition to it. If the black cat uses the iframe to execute (which feels like the intended purpose of the ability) the cd of the ability remains 4 seconds. However if the ability is use as get out of jail free card. I would increase the cd on it to 8 seconds.

This would greatly increase the skill ceiling of the character since it would make the cleanse ability way more viable and make people prep for dives instead of just going in knowing the iframe attack will bail them out.

2. Personally I don’t think the shop needs a nerf when it comes to no cd. But I would add a nerf that would increase the purchase price for items when purchased back to back. So for example, buying two helms of invisibility would cost let’s say 600 over the current 400. This way you wouldn’t be allowed to to buy invis and then invis and then invis again. While allowing the skill ceiling to be high for let say buying cleanse and then buying invis etc.

3. This last nerf, isn’t as important if the first two are implemented, but I would increase slightly the cd on the claw money generator ability on miss. Basically punishing the black cat with a longer cd for missing the ability and therefore also lowering the money generated by bad black cats

Anyways let me know what you guys think of this changes and tbh I been enjoying her a lot but I was right when I faced her before and thought she was bullshit.

I was playing a qp match and i noticed a lord player playing extremely bad. i was curious so after the match I went to check the profile and brooooo, They are out here farming lord icons xD

like i know lord dont equal good but come on mates xD

Like my guy, I like playing off tanks like Angela, thing, venom, captain, thor and prob the new Devil Dino.

When I tank I always start of saying “hey I don’t really play main tanks like mag, can I get a second tank of any kind?”

If I don’t, than it is what it is.

I don’t play tank as often as I would want because I don’t wanna have to solo tank with them and I main dps but if I am force to solo, I am never touching mag. I don’t like mag! I am not gonna play it. No one is choosing to solo tank. We are force to solo tank!

And everyone expects that if you are tank, you are meant to have the mag in the pocket. Like No bro I have never touch mag, I don’t like him.

I swears this people man lol

Idk man. Am I crazy guys for not wanting to be force to solo tank on characters I don’t like?

So I am still new to Spidey. Recently hit plat 3 with about a 69% win rate on an alt. So far things have been good but I wanted to ask about game when you get counter hard. I basically have lost into most of the games into namor.

I seen some better spideys than me like req that play into namor and I am trying to understand how they play into anti spidey.

The big thing I noticed is that they try to go for pulls instead. It looks like almost a long pull but at the end they do overhead tracer uppercut.

I am trying to recreate this but I can’t for the life of me figure it out!

Can anyone explain what is happening in those combos or can link maybe a video with explanation.

Any other tips are also welcome, specially if they come with combos or general play-style hits for this hard matches

Also Yes! I am aware that I am technically a Smurf since I am a GM, starlord and Magik player but I am learning Spidey as I climb. So please cut me some slack.
