I work in a gray cube all day, pushing paper for a company that doesn’t give a shit about me (let’s be real). I can be laid off any time due to “corporate restructuring”.
My parents told me to go to college, to get a good job, and I’m happy personally but there is that part of me that wonders if I could just made more financially and been happier if I was born “into the life” of being a low-level bookie or ran a few NON-VIOLENT rackets for “the boys”. I can say that part of me could never hurt anyone, but running around, making collections, bullshitting and drinking coffee on no-work jobs seems okay. Certainly beats sitting in an office all day!
Do I have a point? Or have I seen one too many movies?

So my front yard is growing wild violets. I sprayed them with Weed-Be-Gone. The instructions say “Wait 30 days before you spray again”—is that a very stringent rule? On one hand, I want to completely get rid of these pesky weeds, so I have no problem spraying them weekly, but on the other hand, I’m worried that spraying at that volume will kill my grass.
