Thunder warrior wip
What i imagine a veteran thunder warrior could look like, with crude bionics and heavily modified armor.

Made a world eaters jump lord for my Iron warriors mixed warband, think of it as honoring something that you can't field in game because some stupid rules.
World eaters should definitely have jump pack units to kill the enemy faster.
Adding characters to my mixed warband, now adding a khornate world eater once the leader of old heresy era destroyer squads now the lord of the raptors within my mixed iron warriors warband the Iron Wrought Mongrels.
To go with my myth themed naming conventions i present Hephaestus named for the Smith God of Greek myth, he will be the master of the forge and leader of the warsmiths in my warband, deciding who is worthy of terminator armor and who is not he will carry great power within the warband as the deciding factor for which new recruits have earned power armor and who will be send to the front lines in basic unpowered armor to die.
The next few characters for my warband will take names from other myths other than Greek mythology names.
If you have questions about the parts just ask, I just used so many different bits I'd rather not figure out each one right now.
Forgot I made this, so thank the iron warrior who reminded me this short king existed. Yeah, and I see the irony of an Iron Warrior reminding a different Iron Warrior to post an Imperial Fist model.
I also added scale pics to show how short he actually is.
And for how I managed to get him so short was by cutting off the half ball socket joint at the hips of an old firstborn marine and shaving the belt slightly thinner.
Old cataphractii legs, plague marine belly plate different plague marine chest, csm back of torso, plague marine bolter with csm ammo feed, old mk3 head shoulders and backpack.
What legion or chapter should these marines be from? They can be either loyalists or less corrupted traitors, as they are going to split between my 30k and 40k armies.
I'd rather not do more imperial fists because painting yellow sucks.
What legion should I paint these dead marines, as an Iron warrior player, Imperial fists seem like the obvious choice, but how i paint yellow doesn't look the best on snow bases (example on last pic).
If you have any legion paint schemes for these, that would be great, or if you have alternate legion schemes, examples being destroyer squads having different colors to normal legionaries
The followers of chaos have an excuse of the souls' taint what is yours, a choice to follow xeno scum willingly, you are a greater heretic than even the followers of Abaddon the despoiler and his cohorts.
What legion/chapter colors should I paint this traitor among traitors.
Named for Polyphemus a giant of greek myth, a monstrous, man-eating Cyclops, son of Poseidon and Thoosa, who lived as a shepherd.
My version is true to form a man eating cannibal who is a shepherd of humans, guarding his human slaves with rage and hunger eating any who dare kill them.
And a normal csm terminator and legionarie for size comparison.
Named for the giant kings of greek mythology.
Alcyoneus: The Immortal King The ancient writer Apollodorus identified Alcyoneus as the king of all the Giants.
Porphyrion: The Foremost Giant Often is considered the greatest and most violent of the Giants.
Alcyoneus is magnetized to his base to run him as either an Abaddon proxy or Kravek Morne proxy.
The names are from left to right matching with the pictures.
I am currently making each First Captain if they have names or even descriptions, as not all Legions have them.
They are mostly done. they just need major greenstuff work of a few.
If you have questions about names of the lesser known first captains or if you have parts requests for bits used, feel free to ask.
Named for the Hecatoncheires that they share names with—named Briareus/Aegaeon, Cottus, and Gyges (the pictures are in order of name)
Briareus (also known as Aegaeon or Obriareus): His name roughly translates to "the vigorous" or "stout.""
Cottus: Representing the "furious" one or "the striker."
Gyges (also spelled Gyes): Meaning "the big-limbed".
Each terminator represents one of the Hecatoncheiries of old myth and legend to guard their chosen warlord, who i will create soon enough as a proper abaddon proxy to make him more iron within and iron without.
Still need to add some more weathering and decals before he is officially done.
Any good ideas for decals to add on him to make him look like an honored ancient of a hundred battles.
