Throw-Loop Solution Proposal - Side-Switch option for Drive-Reversal of Throws

We all know this is Throw-Loop Fighter 6, and that devs have absolutely no intention to change that.

So in a discussion with my SF buddies, we had some ideas, like reducing throw DMG, or lengthening recovery frames on a whiffed throw, to make it more guaranteed if you back-dash or jump... However, that might change things too much, especially mid-screen.

But a solution that got some compliments was this:

Add a side-switch option/command if you drive-reversal a throw! They've added meter gain, as well as a screen freeze. How about, during that screen freeze, you can choose which side you end up on?

It doesn't change the normal drive-reversal, and can still be baited. But at least you get a side switch option if you've guessed right.

What are your thoughts on this idea?

Ok... I'm understanding the patch changed a bit better now!

So after about a week of more playing post-patch, I'm understanding the changes better.

TLDR - it's all about the corner pressure.

F-HP - as it's changed to -3 on block, you can very safely poke an opponent with it in the corner. Almost any retaliation by the opponent sets you up for a juicy whiff punish, counterhit, or just block. Watch out for DI. Either bait it with jabs or st.mk (DI safe), or buffer SA when you poke with f-hp.

HP-HP - the tumble on non-poison allows for different corner combos, but more importantly, new Oki situations. And what Aki player doesn't like more Oki routes to confuse their opponents?? My recent go-to is, after HP-HP, juggle into CR.hp. framekill with cr.mp for an auto-shimmy or throw 50/50.

Lastly, the OD bubble-follow up, poisoning the opponent on block: use it in the corner, about 1/4-1/3 screen away. Once they're poisoned, your next can-opener opportunity will land you that big poison DMG combo!

Tokyo: Where can I find older concert DVDs/Blurays/VHS/CDs?

I'm visiting Tokyo in a couple weeks! I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on where to find older media of live concerts?

I'm a huge fan of Seiko Matsuda, so she'll be #1 on my list. Then, also Yamashita Tatsuro, ANRI, Miki Matsubara, and a few others, I'll be interested in.

Does anyone have any suggestions??

Thanks in advance!!

No posts about the Season 4 Aki changes??

Am I missing something? No one is posting about the Aki changes?

They're not game changing, I admit that...

Here's my summary I guess, since I can't find anyone posting about it:

F-HP: on block -3, changed from -4. Makes it a safer poke, even at closer ranges. It does a lot of drive gauge chip, so I plan on using this more.

5hp-hp: causes a tumble effect. In the corner, it can be followed up with a juggle HP.lash, or SA1,3. It also gives 44fr knockdown, setting up for safejumps and 44fr setups (meaty overhead etc). Not great midscreen though.

Cr.hp: punish counter now poisons. This makes it a slightly better whiff punish option. My go-to follow up is safe empty nj, land and do cr.lk confirm into lash. Now that the opponent is poisoned, this gives some more options. Another setup I forgot was cr.hk framekill, leaving +14fr. Meaty f-hk setup.

OD-bubble-followup: now poisons on block (but not parry). Never really used this except in an older cash-out combo I used to do. I doubt it'll be impactful at all. You're still -13...

That said, I got to my personal best MR today, 1591MR. Totally unrelated to the changes 😂

History Professor Answers Dictator Questions - Tech Support

This was a video a friend share with me about a year ago (March 2025 to be exact). It was meant to be about Trump (naturally)...

I decided to give it another watch, and..... Boy, it gave me chills!!! Maybe I'm just projecting, but a lot of what was discussed here (not all, but a lot), sounds like Carney and the Liberals!!

Narcissism, consolidation of power, kleptocracy, creating crises, and positioning themselves as the solution, and much much more!!

Anyone care to watch, and discuss??

Detroit RoboCop Statue!

My son and I passed through Detroit on our way to a baseball tournament, and I HAD to visit RoboCop!!

I actually didn't know about this, but it popped up on my Reddit feed recently (and coincidentally)!!

Now I gotta show my son the movies! (He's a teen, he's old enough 😅)

Emporium Monthly Costs and Items (Invite Letters, Stellars) - ADDED SLUMBER ESSENCE

Hello fellow AFK Journey Enthusiasts!

A while ago, I shared my calculations for Monthly Emporium Costs for Invite letters and Stellars.

I have now added Slumber Essence as well, as it is the new RARE resouce for the new season. It is now more rare than Temporal (Yellow) Essence and Regular Invite Letters, so for those with Paragon level heroes, it might be the preferred item to buy.

Let me know what you think.

If I'm missing anything, or if there are items you are interested in me adding, let me know!

China is watching! Banned for Michael Ma joke (appeal won)

So I was banned from Reddit itself for 7 days, and the Reddit auto-message said it was for threat of violence. (I couldn't post or comment, but could still view and like).

The message was deleted by Reddit mods, so I couldn't see what I had wrote, so I appealed, and wrote that I wanted to review what I had written.

Then a couple days later, the ban was lifted, because they found it was not in violation to any rules.

So, what got me "banned" in the first place??

A Michael Ma joke I wrote on a post about the labour law changes 😂

I thought it was a pretty funny joke, but likely a CPP supporter didn't find it funny and reported me 🫣🇨🇳🙅🏻‍♂️

Playlist of Matsuda Seiko's 2025 80s Collection - Remastered and Pitch Corrected

Hello 👋🏻

I'd like to share my playlist of songs from Matsuda Seiko's 4x Song Collections released in 2025.

They include the following:

Seiko Daimond - Karuho Kureda Works

Seiko Invitation - Kazuo Zaitsu Works

Seiko Harmony - Haruomi Hosono Works

Seiko Feelings - Eiichi Ohtaki Works

As mentioned in the title, these are remasters, and I can tell the songs have been pitch-corrected. This does not mean auto-tuned, which is what most songs are these days. Pitch-correction helps those stray notes that are off-pitch, while retaining the other subtleties like vibrato, and note transitions.

I listen to her music almost daily. So I know almost every note, every pitch. I can definitely tell they used pitch correction. How do I feel about it? I haven't decided yet.

To be honest, there are some songs where Seiko was quite off in hitting the right note, and I wish I could correct it with a pitch adjusting app or software.

A subtle example might be in her song 水色の朝 - Mizu iro no Asa.

A VERY obvious example would be Rock'N'Roll Good-Bye. I basically couldn't listen to the original. I'd skip every time because off the off-pitch singing (partially intentional for the style of the song). But I can tolerate it now in the remastered version.

So for those songs, it's nicer to listen to, and they did adjust those in these collections.

Feel free to take a listen, and let me know your thoughts!

Can you also tell it uses pitch correction?

I drew this in my highschool agenda!

I was at my parents' place, and found this old drawing I made in my highschool agenda!

That was probably the peak of my artistic career 😜

Hope you like it!
