Round-a-bouts have been slowly becoming more popular in my area, as it helps replace 4-way stop signs and keeps the flow of traffic moving. HOWEVER, people need to learn when to YIELD before entering the round-a-bout and let people who are actually in IT to drive and exit safely. But also, don't STOP in the round-a-bout to let people in. You have the right-of-way.

I almost got into a fucking car accident the other week because one driver wanted to suddenly stop in the round-a-bout to let someone in. And then, what appeared to be a new driver, didn't yield and ran through the round-a-bout instead of yielding.

Round-a-bouts are not complicated contraptions.

My manager made me aware about an amazing position as Team Lead a few weeks back, I accepted the promotion, and today was my first day. Nothing is really changing, other than taking more of that "managerial" position and approving time-cards, PTO, etc. The last year has kind of prepared me for this role, but I have never actually been in a manager-like position and... I'm scared. I'm scared of unfamiliar territory and I just don't know if I'm ready. I think I am having a BAD case of imposter syndrome.

To add context, there was not really a transition-period for this role, it was kind of "hit the ground running" and I regret saying yes so quickly without confirming more details. Has anyone ever been in this position before at a job and does the feeling ever go away?

Mod, Moderators, or lack thereof:

Please do something to properly moderate this sub, as there is a very clear divide on what should be talked about in a NEUTRAL sub. I'm all for having healthy discussions, but certain topics need to be heavily moderated or just banned from being talked about. Not to mention, the horrible redundant topics that add little to nothing, when someone just posted the same thing several hours prior.

Also, the blatant rule-breaking that never gets followed up on or moderated.

This sub has existed for several years now, and the fact that we are still only having ONE moderator is mind-blowing. Please consider active mods that are actually going to do their job and turn this sub into a healthy place, rather than, a toxic one.
