New Inventory System Feedback

Hi everyone!

I'm the solo developer of Forgotten Blood, an old-school dungeon crawler inspired by classic RPGs.

This month after release, I decided to focus on completely reworking the inventory system. I wanted it to be easier to use, more organised and to work better with both keyboard/mouse and controller.

I've attached a screenshot of the new system and I'd really like to hear your feedback.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello everyone!
I’m the solo developer behind ForgottenBlood, a first‑person souls‑like / King’s Field–inspired project.
Today I’m excited to share the final release trailer of the game, along with the official launch date.

I’ve been working on this world for a long time, and I’m really happy to finally show you what’s coming. I hope you’ll enjoy the atmosphere, the combat, and the old‑school dungeon‑crawling vibe.

Solo Dev First-Person Souls-like, Updates

I posted here some time ago about my solo-developed project Forgotten Blood, a first-person souls-like heavily inspired by King’s Field and Dark Souls. Today I’ve released the official trailer, and the demo is now available on Steam. Since the last post I’ve released many patches (including adding a dodge/roll!).

Creature Concept - Dark Pixie

Another creature from my horror series.
Very sketchy and rough, I tried to keep it more painterly and undefined because it gives a stronger horror vibe.

Creature Concept - Plague Sister

I imagined this new concept as a basic enemy in a Dark Souls-style game, set in swampy areas. I hope to use it one day in my games.

Another drawing of a monster this one is a bit more sketchy and has the vibe of a lonely, sorrowful creature.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been developing a first-person dark fantasy RPG called Forgotten Blood over the past few years.

It’s heavily inspired by King’s Field in terms of atmosphere, with some Souls elements and a strong focus on exploration and environmental storytelling. There are also influences from Morrowind (loot systems) and older RPGs like Baldur’s Gate.

I’m currently wrapping up the polishing and bug-fixing phase, and the demo is now available to play on Steam.

If you’re into slow-paced, immersive worlds, I’d really appreciate any feedback.

Thanks for taking a look!

I was mixing some old sketches and it slowly turned into this creature.
It kind of gives me Dark Souls 2 vibes, not sure why maybe some of you who played it will see it too.

Currently in the polishing phase of my game and trying to push the atmosphere as much as possible.

I’ve always been more interested in mood and environment rather than constant action, so a lot of the work now is about small details, pacing, and how different areas feel when you move through them.

This clip is just a few cuts of different locations and situations I’ve been working on.
