Hey! I want recommendtions for what distro I should use. I currently use Fedora XFCE but it lags and the laptop runs hot. Laptop specs are (Intel Core i5-2450M, Intel HD 3000, 4GB DDR3, Nvidia Geforce 525M, 512GB HDD). I prefer a clean and not bad looking UI. Thanks for your time!

Hello there! My Dell Inspiron N5110 (Old laptop, I know) I applied thermal paste to it and ever since then it keeps beeping when it is booting, when I play a video, and opening Discord makes it beep one time. the battery does not work anymore and only works by AC Power. It is running Fedora XFCE. Nothing is wrong besides the WI-FI being hard blocked and I need to reset the BIOS to make WI-FI work. It also beeps when loading the wallpaper. Any help is appreciated!

When gaming on my laptop, the touchpad doesn’t work properly, like im playing first person or third person and it isn’t changing direction which makes games unplayable, I am on Fedora XFCE, laptop is dell Inspiron n5110. It’s only like this when gaming, everything else besides gaming works perfectly fine although I haven’t tried 2d gaming. Happens on both wine and Linux games. Mouse hardly moves when gaming.

I just flashed Android 13 AOSP GSI on it but I also want root, I’m thinking getting exact firmware file, get the boot.img from there, patch it through Magisk, flash it via fastboot. Although I’m not sure if this way will get me errors or not.
I did my research and they said if it’s on, it automatically changes resolution based on tasks, and off you can set it manually. But what do they mean set manually? It can only be Toggled on or off on my device.
By swap, I mean using storage as ram, and by zRam, I mean compressing ram.
