Virtual Beep Card for Digital Wallet soon?

Hello guys. So while exploring sa Beep card website, and napunta ako dun sa terms and conditions ng Beep Card and July 28 2026 ang last update. Read the issuer section sa screenshot and sinabi na "Mobile Application, Key Fob, watch, etc".

Is this mean na soon magkakaroon ng Virtual Beep Tokenization for Digital Wallet (like Suica in Japan)?

What do you guys think?

MariBank xPays

Hi there. If nagtaka kayo kung bakit hindi pa supported si MariBank because hindi pa ready ung backend or tokenization nila. But nagnotify si Maribank under notifications then "Important" that may T&C na sila for Digital Wallet.

Since narelease nung July 15, assume na September 15 pa ung effect ng tokenization. May two months due to BSP regulations.

Also, only Apple Pay and GPay will work dahil isusunod nila ung same as sa MariBank Singapore.

Is Samsung Pay will launch anytime soon?

Around 5PM earlier, I received a notification from Samsung Wallet and it says "Add a Payment Card today". But upon clicking the notification, wala nagappear ng "Payment Card" icon. I tried to clean cache, and restart my phone but still nothing changes haha.

So does it mean that Samsung Pay ay malapit na maglaunch here sa PH?

To those Samsung users, meron kayo nakareceive na ganito?

P.S. I swear, naset kong region is Philippines talaga.

Shopwise Tap to Pay Experience

So I have story to tell hehe. Since we know that Apple Pay is now approaching, it seems some establishments ay nagiging aware na sila about xpays. Now, Shopwise saamin is now aware of Tap to Pay.

So upon nasa cashier na ako, and magbabayad na ako, sinabi ko na card payment. Then nakita nya ako na phone dala ko, "Mobile Wallet po sir?" then boom, it seems na aware na si Cashier about sa Tap to Pay or Mobile Wallet in which na trained na sila ng management.

Well, "Mobile Wallet" means ung Digital wallets like Google Wallet, Apple Wallet and Samsung Wallet. So it seems na alam na nila ung about sa Mobile Wallet or Tap to Pay or xpays!

So I hope that all malls especially SM na dapat "Mobile wallet" or "Tap to Pay" ang tanungin sa customer if anong mode of payment. Hindi lang Google Wallet or Apple Wallet (soon) meron here kundi GarminPay and Samsung Wallet (soon). Ang unfair if Google or Apple lang ung alam hahaha.

As a GPay user, nakakaexcite na soon ilalaunch si Apple Pay para sama sama tayo mag tap sa stores and public transport systems haha.

Ayun lang thats all! 😁

RCBC Pulz app wont open and crashing

Hello RCBC users, have you experience that ung RCBC Pulz nyo is nagcrash and hindi maopen? I supposed to lock my MyDebit card kasi nagtransact ako sa 7-Eleven. Hobby ko kasi pag nagtransact ako using card then nilolock ko siya haha. Bumili agad ako something dahil need sa board review quiz haha.

If GPay lang, ok lang na hindi ko lock ung card ko kasi may token pero this is RCBC mydebit , hindi pa supported for GPay so no choice pero gamit ko card haha.

Maya VISA Debit now on Google Pay

As the title implies, Maya VISA Debit can now be added on Google Pay. No signs though for the Mastercard variant and hopefully they will activate tokenization for it as well which is likely.

Looking forward for Apple Pay on these cards, soon.

Here's my experience using New Turnstiles at LRT2 Legarda Station

Hi there. Earlier, RCBC x GCASH opens their new turnstiles at LRT 2 Legarda Station. So I used my GCash Debit Mastercard sa GPay and mabilis siya compared sa MRT3. Less than 1 second pag Tap In sa Legarda station and Less than 1 second pag tap out sa Cubao Station (dito babaan ko).

However, since GPay ako, hindi nagreflect ung transactions sa Google Wallet ko BUT nagreflect sa GCash app. So from Legarda to Cubao ay PHP6.50.

I made some research that meron naka kabit na ODA (Offline Data Authetication). ODA means that pagkatap mo using GPay, mabilis siya kasi nakaoffline ung token para mabilis maopen ung gate. Which means hindi muna magrereflect ung receipt sa Google Wallet. Nagrereflect ito once ung LRT2 systems ay nagupload na ng data transactions. I think it applies to bank cards and xpays (including Apple Pay, Garmin Pay and Samsung Pay) for ODA.

Idk why nagreflect in real time sa GCash pero maybe meron napaloob sa GCash system sa new turnstiles kaya real time siya. You can search ODA for more information and maraming countries na gumagamit ng ODA sa turnstiles like Singapore para mabilis maopen ung gate.

I hope that ung MRT3 ay magkabit rin ng ODA sa turnstiles nila para mabilis maopen ung gate.

Currently on event at Legarda Station for opening LRT 2 new turnstiles

At 7:55 AM, the program will start at 8AM. Maybe magoopen na sila for new LRT2 turnstiles after the event.

Cant wait to tap my GCASH Mastercard sa new turnstiles nila if ngayon na magoopen.

RCBC x GCash ads are now showing at LRT2 Legarda station

It seems another ads showing sa Legarda Station. This is collaboration with RCBC, VISA, MASTERCARD and GCash that allows tap to pay to their new turnstiles including the GPay.

This is another clue na malapit na maopen their new turnstiles. Plus, meron other photos na kinakabit ung sticker or polishing for their new turnstiles.

Dapat ganito ginawa sa MRT3 to show the VISA and Mastercard para makita ung mga foreigner that foreign cards ay pwede here.

Mastercard x GCash ads in LRT 2 Recto station

It seems na malapit na mag-open ung kanilang bagong turnstiles sa LRT2 which is Card/Tap Payment like sa MRT3. Hindi lang yan, meron rin signage ng GCASH commute. I really hope na this coming Monday or within June ay pwede na hahaha.

Kaya pala nung pagbukas ko ng GCASH app, needs to update baka eto na un.

Google Wallet Map Feature recognize the 7-11 PH store

Hi guys, share ko lang. So kanina, I used my GPay kanina to buy some drinks and everything went smooth. Until nung pag uwi ko sa bahay to track my transactions, narecognize na ni Google Wallet ung 7-11 kanina

Plus meron na logo ng 7-11 if you open the Google Wallet desktop sa chrome. Siguro ung mga blue terminal ng 7-11 ay inupgrade ng softwate update para maadd itong feature sa Google Wallet.

Ayun lang haha skl.

GPay in Maya Checkout (30 characters haha)

Hey there. While paying for my school fee of PHP150 online using Maya Checkout, the GPay button is now available. However, ginamit ko is GCASH wallet Mastercard virtual card but the payment unsuccessful even if meron ako balance sa GCASH.

Pero nakaltas sa GCash ko haha, well nareport ko na ung issue. Idk if nasa beta pa ito or not or idk kung bakit hindi successful ung payment.

Anyway, so sa Maya Checkout palang meron GPay button so I hope other payment store must have GPay button para safe and hindi na maginput ng cards.

Cross-Boarder Fee in Apple Music

Hello and Good Day. So I just want to share my experience for the Apple Music Subscription and nasurprise lang ako na meron pala Cross-Boarder Fee sa GoTyme.

So I have an Apple Music subscription for PHP75 because I'm a student. So before ng due payment ng subscription, naset-up ko ung Maya Virtual Card as my Primary Payment and GoTyme Virtual Card as my backup Payment. Dapat nag-add ako ng PHP 100 from MariBank to Maya until naalala ko na meron akong funds na PHP100 sa GoTyme so hindi ko tinuloy ung transfer from Maribank to Maya.

Ngayon is the due ng payment for my Apple Music, I was surprised na PHP75.75 ung payment instead na PHP75. Until naalala ko na meron nag post here sa Reddit that si GoTyme pala has Cross-Boarder fee ng 1%. Unlike si Maya, wala siyang cross-border fee.

Ayun lang, it just na meron ako natutunan about the fee pag dating sa subscription haha. No harsh between Maya and GoTyme, both are great services. I love them both. Siguro gagamitin ko si Maya as my payment for my online subscription while GoTyme naman ay gagawin ko nalang siyang backup or physical purchase using card or GPay.

P.S. I just found out na meron palang 20 FREE InstaPay transfers every month si GoTyme HAHAHA. Pwede ko na sana itransfer from GoTyme to Maya. Pero anyway, na-autodebit na so HAHA, at least I learned something.

One Ui 5.1 icon pack

Hi OneUi gangs. So I can say that the icon of One Ui 8.5 dark mode was not great for me. I miss the one ui 5.1 color palette light and dark icon.

Since this kind of feature started from One Ui 6 to this version and maybe Samsung will not go back to aesthetic icon from One Ui 5.1.

So is there an icon pack that look like One Ui 5.1 light and dark icons with color that yall recommend?

iPad Mini or iPad Pro (11 inch)

Hi everyone. Long story short, nabudol and nawala ung iPad Pro 1st Gen (11 inch) in 2023, and my father will buy me a gift for my college graduation, and matagal niyang hinihintay ung request ko to buy an iPad after nangyari saakin.

Ang purpose ko lang sa iPad is to take notes, review notes, and practice solving for my board review. Then watch some movies, and play games (like Genshin) everywhere I go.

Help me to decide haha

Goodnotes

Hi there. Long story short, my 11-inch iPad (1st Gen) was stolen in 2023, and I have Goodnotes 5, which I purchased in 2021; it's a lifetime subscription. Now, my father bought an iPad 11-inch M4 for my Engineering board review. Can I still download the Goodnotes 5 lifetime subscription to my new iPad M4? Also, I've heard that the Goodnotes has a new version called Goodnotes 6. Is it good to upgrade?

My only use of Goodnotes is to take notes, read them, highlight them, and solve some practice problems.
