Anyone else got surprised by the big drop in temperature?
All week it was supposed to be low of 10°… woke up to 4° with all my seedlings outside and 30 of them in their final pots.
Hopefully it doesn’t stunt them too much 🤞🤞🤞

I have these tiny blue beauties that were sowed in mid-March lol. Every other tomato plant I have is huge now but not the BB, they’re still pouting for some reason.
Just wondering if it’s me, the strain or maybe these seeds just come from a tomato with sickly genes… I hope they’ll explode at some point but all the other BB seeds I planted have died.
While you were growing your hair out, how did you keep them out of your face?
Mine are at an awkward length at the
Moment, about 3.5in long and it’s just hell, I generally just wear a baseball cap but I wonder if there’s any I can put on my head that doesn’t look silly to keep them away
TIA
First two pics are Yoshiharu Tsuge’s output outside of The Man Without Talent (forgot to add that one). Whatever output has been localized outside Japan anyway. I switched to French volumes starting with book 3 because the build is far better.
He’s a great intro to gekiga because he starts with very straight forward autobiographical stories that aren’t super dark like his brother Tadao or Yoshihiro Tatsumi. And then gradually gets more into darker themes and surreal works.
Third picture is what I have from Black Hook Press. I saw someone post about Takes of the Beast recently and it made me take them out of storage for a bit of reading and reminiscing on how cool it was to have that little publisher around before the pandemic.
I’m fascinated by how different all my plants are, picture is an example of that. On the left, the Serrano has a sucker growing in nearly every sun leaf’s “armpit”, I don’t know what to call it lol, I’m French!
Then on the right the Sugar Rush Stripey is just one pole with sun leaves.
Weird how that works!
Hi from Ottawa!
Did a bit of research and made a list of shops that sold good cans and hit a few of them. I’ll hit the rest before I start using online stores.
For Ottawa residents these came from: Jacobsons, Mario’s Food Market, Solfarmer, Corner Peach and La Bottega. Next I’ll hit up Harmon’s, T&T for Asian cans and Scottish Irish store for British cans.
I love everything in the sea and looking to eat a little healthier, can’t beat those macros on tinned fish so let’s go!!
The razor clams and barnacles will be new experiences for me, the latter I’m excited for but I’ve seen Tremors too often and the clams remind me of those big worms, I’m scared!
