Calling all sourdough connoisseurs. Where do you go for your sourdough bread? (you can't say your own kitchen, unless you plan to share with me)

Used to get mine from whole foods, but a couple years ago they changed their formula and it has been notably less good since then, although still decent.

I'm looking for legit sourdough, not the fake stuff that calls itself sourdough and still uses yeast.

You don’t have to throw food away if you drop it on the floor. You can, and should, still eat it.

It‘s been studied and it’s actually better for your immune system to be exposed to dirt/germs in small doses. If you clean your house even semi-regularly, your floors are not that dirty. It‘s fine.

Who is your favorite rookie 2nd round or later pick?

The first round (or at least the first 10-11 picks) are more or less locked in, it seems like. There might be a little variance in picks 7-12, but rarely are any of those players falling out of the 1st.

For clarity, I'll list the top 12 according to KTC: Love, Mendoza, Tyson, Tate, Lemon, Price, Concepcion, Simpson, Sadiq, Cooper, Stowers, Boston

Then you get to the 2nd round and beyond and it feels like a total crap shoot. No clear consensus and rankings all over the place.

Who are your "guys" in the second round and beyond, and why?

Kinfire Council - under the radar, medium-heavy, worker placement gem?

I'm curious who out there has played this game and what they thought. I'm surprised I'm not seeing more buzz about it. We played at Geekway to the West last weekend and my group all agreed that it was our favorite game of the weekend (and we played SETI, Nippon: Zaibatsu, Shackleton Base, Formaggio).

This game has excellent production quality, art, and table presence, which is something that gets points from us. We also all enjoy worker placement as our favorite mechanic.

But we also really enjoyed the semi-coop and politicking decision space that this game offered, with the management (or siding with) of the cultists, and the voting mechanic on the decrees (the player that won, won in part because of her manipulation of the decrees). I'm sure there are other games that offer this, but this was the first time we played a worker placement with something like this.

We also enjoyed the mechanic where you could change the role of your workers to give them extra abilities.

I was surprised when I checked BGG and saw it ranked in the 3,000s, with minimal buzz.

I’m going to Geekway to the West in St. Louis later this week. Any games I should make sure to check out?

Fairly big into the hobby, but I haven’t been keeping up with the latest releases in the last year or so.
