I wore this yesterday morning it’s a 4 yard box pleated kilt. I find in the extreme heat we’ve been experiencing that the yardage not the wool weight is important. Even so it was very hot in this even in the morning. I suppose not wearing the belt could help, most times I don’t wear one as they are superfluous but do wear a belt on occasion.
I was out this morning and had to park in front of the Ultra cause let’s face it the Victory should be in front.
I was watching a World Cup match today when the commentator said “competitive” I shouted at the TV “competitive dad”
Things like this happen daily at this point.
Went to the bike night at the Three Horses last night. Another great night talking bikes with friends.
One of the fun things we have in Toronto in connection with the FIFA World Cup are the beavers, these have been painted by local artists one for each nation taking part and placed around downtown Toronto. I decided to wear my kilt with my soccer jersey and get some photos.
I shouldn’t be surprised but I was the only Victory at Bike Night last night.
I'm looking to get a new full face helmet sometime on the near future. I'm looking for some recommendations on something good but lightweight. My last full face was a Shoei when I was 18, I'm 60 now been wearing beanies and half helmets since that one got stolen. I suffer from migraine so therefore never really wanted to go back to full face until now, (the weight has always been a concern).
The older I get the more I think a good full face is in my future. So what are your recommendations for a lightweight full face that will provide the protection I'm looking for?
Budget is flexible I figure I've waited this long to address this so I don't mind spending a bit to get what I want.
I was asked to perform Burns poetry at the Clan Donald AGM. It was a great experience. Thought I would share this photo.
In a recent post we were talking about pleating choices. I wanted to post these here. When I got the Royal Naval Association tartan made into a kilt these were some of the options the kilt maker gave me. I chose the second photo. This is an example of why getting pleating options pinned up first is so important. These two options show off the tartan so differently.
Set off my first car alarm with my 2013 Boardwalk today. It freaked me out because I have stock pipes but it sure made me smile. It was a FedEx truck hope I didn’t scare the delivery guy too much.
