Sonesta Maho Beach

I want to be in that turquoise water so bad! After vacations in Paradise Island (4x), Cancun, PR and DR, we are looking to go somewhere new, and Sint Maarten is on our list. This resort looks beautiful, but looks can be deceiving. My hubby and I are not in good shape physically, so one of my questions is about the beach…is it a long walk to get into water and is water calm? And, of course, I’d appreciate any other information you can provide. Thanks!
