Taking advantage of my birthday ✨ Where to get free stuff?

Babycakes! Anyone wanna point me to where I can exhaust the “it’s my birthday” line for free stuff? Preferably without buying anything. Let me maximize this birthday privilege lol. I’m near Venice, but can make my way to SM Makati/nearby malls!

Most of my friends are men. Is this something guys become wary of when dating?

I’m 29F and, as the title says, most of my friends are men. I have girl friends I consider genuinely close, but there are basically only 4 of them.

I’ve always wondered whether this is something men become wary of when they’re getting to know me. Whenever I go out or start talking to/dating someone, aside from my solo getaways, most of the stories I can share about my social life involve my guy friends. And honestly, I’ve started wondering if this might be one of the reasons some of my getting to know you phases don’t really work out.

On my part, I always give reassurance that they’re just friends. If the guy I’m dating is comfortable with it, I’m also more than happy to have him meet my friends eventually. I make an effort to make the guy I’m getting to know feel secure and included rather than like he’s competing with anyone.

For context, my hobbies right now are tabletop gaming (mostly MTG, UnMatched) and basketball, which are obviously pretty male dominated spaces. So naturally, a lot of the people I meet and spend time with end up being men.

Pero ayon nga, I sometimes wonder if I’m unknowingly creating a situation where a guy thinks, “Okay…why are there so many dudes around her?”

I’m not asking whether I should stop being friends with men. I’m more curious about how guys actually perceive this when they’re dating someone. Would it make you hesitant? Would you care as long as boundaries are clear? Or is it one of those things that only becomes an issue if there’s already a reason not to trust the person?

Cafe recos around Makati/BGC/Taguig for a book + good coffee? 📚☕️

Hey! Planning to kill some time this coming Sunday and would love to hear your recos for cafes around Makati/BGC/Taguig that have books or a nice reading setup.

I’m more of a caphe sua dua typa girl so bonus points if they serve good viet coffee! Quality coffee is a must please, not just good food.

Looking for somewhere I can chill, read, and enjoy a genuinely good cup. TIA!

Ayaw ko pa umuwi.

As the title goes, ayaw ko pa umuwi. I can’t sit with my emotions just yet.

I feel like if I go home, everything I’ve been trying not to think about is going to hit me all at once.

Anyway, Manila’s been sunny at most. Is it worth escaping to Baguio right now?

Edit: Don’t always assume that someone is romanticizing Baguio. I’ve been going back and forth to Baguio since I was 16, ALONE. It was the first place I ever travelled to, and it’s honestly my first love. I’m 29 now, and it still holds a special place in my heart.

29 [F4M] Gym Buddy

PICTURE IN THE COMMENT.

Looking for that ODD.

Hi! 29F here, working for one of the big US in-house bank companies in Manila.

This may sound odd, but I’m looking for a gym buddy WITHIN the company hahaha (as much as possible same age or older). I’m on dayshift 9A-6P, so sana match tayo ng schedule or basta hindi masyadong malayo agwat.

Let’s push each other to become better versions of ourselves. Honestly, gusto ko lang i-focus ’yung utak ko sa sarili ko and keep myself busy because tangina, ayoko na siyang maisip.

If you’re also trying to get your shit together and possibly from the same company I’m at, hit me up (for the name of the company). Gym buddy lang, no weirdness 😌🏋️‍♀️

Organic Encounter at Uniqlo

I had the most random, organic encounter at Uniqlo back in June (just found this sub today lol). I was just browsing for clothes when someone approached me and asked if they could take a candid photo of me. Apparently, he noticed my tattoo and thought it looked really cool.
