My girls have started their diet of less dry food. Grey girl Leia is 7yo with arthritis so it’s hard for her to play and move around. Void cat Merrin is 2 and was a stray and has food obsession that’s slowly getting better.

Leia was 13.3 and now 13.0
Merrin was 12.2 and now 12.0

It’s slow and small progress but we have all the time to try and get them closer to 11.
Any tips to help my Arthritis cat? She’s on gabapentin and uses joint supplements. Some days are easier than others so we take it slow and if she gets the zoomies then I encourage it with toys.

Digital oil painting

I make hyper realistic digital oil paintings. I tried physical painting but my cats thought that they needed to be involved.

I had a hysterectomy w/ fallopian tubes in 2022 and my endometriosis is back

I had a hysterectomy that took my uterus, fallopian tubes and vaginal cuff in 2022. The last year I’ve started getting bad cramps routinely and every period symptom minus the bleeding. During a kidney stone obstruction surgery, the notes included endometrial tissue and lots of scar tissue in the bladder. My hysterectomy surgeon did mention that she would burn and remove any endo and choc endo rhat she can identify but there may always be some growing due to hormones. I feel frustrated and exhausted and i think I’d feel validated in my pain if I was bleeding. End rant.

Had a birthday party for my cat

Had some friends over and he enjoyed all the new toys he was gifted. He took a long nap after they left.

duck took her ducking and has left her eggs

I have a wild dick who has been visiting the yard and nesting. She was sitting all day yesterday and we found a duckling with her this morning but she is and duckling are gone but I see 2-3 eggs still.
Will she come back? She’s likely at the river down the road but I worry about her eggs, I was hoping to see more babies.

This boy fell 7ft off his shelf and now gets to visit the vet for his birthday

Baylan got the zoomies and is usually very good at running on his shelves but he took a tumble and now has a limp, getting him checked by the vet in 2 hours. Keeping him still and not running is hard right now like sir you hurt your leg 😭 I feel like those moms with boys who are always getting hurt, please share the brain cell I need a break from his injuries

Update!!! Nothing broke or dislocated! Has some major bruising in the soft tissue and muscles so he will be on pain meds for a few weeks.

How to best travel to a new pet?

The kitten I’m planning to get is 12 hours away one direction. I’ve been talking with the breeder and her family and we have a lot in common. The farthest I’ve traveled was 3-4 hours for my Russian blue but 12 hours worries me. I’ll likely want to stay somewhere to rest.
I’m not sure if I should sleep at rest stops and while parked have the kitten walk free in the back turned into a bed with litter box food water or if I should find a pet safe hotel or Airbnb for one night.

I know to pack little box, crate, water fountain and portable charger, food, pee pads. What else am I forgetting?

I’m starting a rough draft of a contract and not exactly sure where to start.

For breeders: What things did you include in your contract that you are very glad you included in it.
Did you get a lawyer to help make the contract/revise it?

For buyers: do you have a contract with the breeder of your Maine coon? What things on it made sense? What things did you need explained or was worded better? Have you come across things you didn’t like in a contract?

Baylan can jump on average around 5ft. He’s gone higher than that at times and working on making 6ft his new goal.
